SL Motors insisted i had the work done at a garage in Blackburn and I had to cover the recovery cost. All work done at a cost of over £1100 and they offered to pay £300 towards the cost. I was told if i didn't like it take us to court, we are not worried we have been to court loads of times. I wouldn't touch SL Motors with a bargepole, absolutely dreadfull.

There place is easy to find, only took me 5mins to walk from the train station to them. Loads of cars in stock, easily more than 50. On-site they do their own servicing/repairs and valeting. It can seem a bit hectic when you go in as a customer, this is most likely due to them being so busy, could probably do with more front of house staff would be an observation. I found the price of the car I bought to be very competitive and the description to be spot on. I initially felt with Abi over the phone and Jimmy when I went to collect the car. Just on that, when I collected the car it was really low on petrol. Jimmy took the keys and gave it a decent drink as he put it. Turns out he put £50 into the tank, I kid you not. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys, I'd happily go back and make another purchase if they had something that caught my eye.

Blackburn Greenacre Honda…read more I went to look at some cars at Greenacre. I saw a car I liked and talked to the sales rep. I said I'll get an insurance quote when I go home. The sales rep insisted that I use their internet to get one. I then got talked into putting a £1000 pound deposit to reserve the vehicle and was given a purchase order form to sign. I was not told it was non-refundable and was given free 7-day insurance. I activated insurance late evening, but changed my mind. I rang them up first thing next morning, before they go ahead and prepare the car. The sales manager said they had serviced it as soon as I activated my insurance. I activated it 15-minutes before their closing time. So how did they service and valet the car. On that very morning when I called, the post office barley opened but they also claimed that the Road Tax had been purchased? Greenacre said, if I do not pay for the rest of the car they can commence legal proceedings in order to force me to pay the price of the full car. I called DVLA to confirm the car had been registered to me; and they said wait for 2-weeks, your Road Tax registration will show-up on our systems. I called them after a fortnight and DVLA said, the car was NEVER registered to you ! So they blatantly lied! I ran my own costings, based on their own servicing costs and their free 7 day insurance costs (with Zurich - which Zurich had no charge); and the total came to less than £400 pounds including VAT. I demanded half of my deposit back and they flat out refused. I contacted Trading Standards, however, as I had unwittingly signed the purchase order form, it did not entitle me to get a refund. I wrote a full letter of complaint to Honda UK HQ and even they refused to help. Prior to this, on a few occasions I went to Greenacre to Service my existing Honda and get parts replaced. I spent around £600 pounds. Could you believe that; they actually treat their own customers that way. They are truly BRUTAL and heartless!

2 cars purchased from this place both death traps one I have now got 9 months ago and it's been off…read morethe road the last 3 of them it's had to have brake discs calipers and pads new suspension and springs at front were snapped, cosying over £1000 and still failed its mot, the garage just preys on those struggling to get finance and gives them death traps, and you get stuck with a car you have to pay way over the odds for yet can't use, would I recommend hell NO
