DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM NW AUTOS Purchasing a car from NW Autos in 2024 has genuinely been one of the worst and most stressful experiences of my entire life. Sounds dramatic but sadly true. Purchased an Audi A5 for nearly £9k in July 2024, drove it back to my home in NI and within 3 weeks, the engine light came on and car lost acceleration/went into limp mode. Absolutely no help from NW Autos whatsoever when I reported it immediately, said they can't help me unless I get the car back over for them to take a look and directed me to a useless warranty I purchased through my finance company. Laughable whenever I can legally reject the car within the first 30 days should a mechanical issue arise. Long story short, after getting a local mechanic to diagnose the faults with the car (which included turbo issues, cracked suspension bushes, faulty brake pads/discs despite a recent "MOT" on the car), he also said that the car had been in a collision as there was underlying damage to the sill of the car and the repair to this damage (done by NW Autos presumably) was starting to come away. NW Autos are not just unreliable and incompetent, they are a fraudulent business. They've committed fraud by misrepresentation. After fighting for 8 months with my finance company and reports to both the Financial Ombudsman and the Motor Ombudsman, my complaint was finally upheld by the Financial Ombudsman and I was able to get a full refund + compensation from my finance company who also came and took the car away. NW Autos, asleep at the wheel, did absolutely nothing to help me despite selling me a dud. Radio silence the entire time. Just to add, when I purchased the car in July 2024, NW Autos were accredited by the Motor Ombudsman which holds them to account and can potentially fine them should a customer complain. Months into my complaint, the Motor Ombudsman told me that NW Autos removed their accreditation despite NW Autos having over 40 individual customer complaints. DO NOT be fooled by the overwhelmingly positive reviews on Google - after a few days of purchasing the car, a lady phoned me to actively encourage me to leave a positive review on the internet. Very conveniently timed just before any potential issues arise would you say? I CANNOT WAIT to receive a passive aggressive response to my review where they will attempt to discredit my complaint and pass the buck on to me the customer as they have done with all other negative reviews/victims of their fraudulent activity. They are so dodgy, I implore anyone to think twice before buying a car from these cowboys because if anything goes wrong (which it will), you are on your own. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. read more

I recently bought a car from North West Autos, I'm really happy with the overall experience. It's a family run operation and gives you the feeling you're buying from a friend of the family! There place is easy to find, only took me 5mins to walk from the train station to them. Loads of cars in stock, easily more than 50. On-site they do their own servicing/repairs and valeting. It can seem a bit hectic when you go in as a customer, this is most likely due to them being so busy, could probably do with more front of house staff would be an observation. I found the price of the car I bought to be very competitive and the description to be spot on. I initially felt with Abi over the phone and Jimmy when I went to collect the car. Just on that, when I collected the car it was really low on petrol. Jimmy took the keys and gave it a decent drink as he put it. Turns out he put £50 into the tank, I kid you not. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys, I'd happily go back and make another purchase if they had something that caught my eye. read more

Huge let down in service. Customer service non existent, no respect when handing over hard earned money, stay away, the company don't care what you think or how upset you are either. Bank transfer ONLY !!! Got to go to court to get refund (£6000) as not a leg to stand on with bank transfer as they know! Says everything really, in hindsight now I should have run like hell. Owner seems to think ripping people off and keeping their money is fine! It isn't... Check out their 1 star not their fake 5 star! I wish we had read more
