I told him the repair was "still visible" and wrote such on his paperwork. He said it was impossible to hide the repair. The service repairman then refused to let me take a picture of the document that I just signed where I wrote "still visible". In fact, he snapped his folder shut, not letting me take my picture. I said I knew the owner of the furniture company and would communicate directly with him that the repairman was very disrespectful. The repairman then hit my doors with his tools, damaging such. My chair broke! Darn it, that was my favorite chair. It's a captain's chair. I refuse to toss it…read moreaway. It can be repaired. It's just that it is a very special chair, and I do not possess the expertise or experience to make it look "as good as new." So what to do? Well, I saw this place, "Russell Furniture." Maybe they repair furniture. I walked in, was amiably greeted, explained the problem, the fellow walked out to my vehicle, looked at my poor chair, and assured me all was not lost. He can save it! I asked the cost. Fair enough. I trustingly left the chair in his competent hands. A week later, ta-da, the chair's sad fractures had healed. Within cost. Looked as good as new. Doesn't wobble when I sit on it. Did I tell you I love that chair? I really thought, as it developed it's myriad little cracks and wobblings due to age, and finally that terminal fracture, that it would just get worse and worse and finally have to be buried; and any attempt to extend its life would prove too costly for my meager earnings. We do have carpenters, joiners, cabinet-makers and wood-workers in the family, in other states, too far away. I am totally happy with the work performed locally by Russell Furniture.
