The friendly Tech Ekolu called to ask if he could come earlier since the prior job finished earlier. He alone swapped out the water heater and had me test the faucets in the house to make sure I had hot water. He stopped by the next day after his last job late in the afternoon to check if everything was working properly. There was a very small leak on top of the tank, so removed the intake pipe and applied Teflon tape. It wasn't because of his installation work, but the manufacturer's workmanship. The infrastructure in our home is very outdated and Marc drove to four different stores in one day to find the right parts for everything (plus an Amazon order for a part that wasn't available on island). He fixed the leak and was even able to fix our shower handle that hasn't worked properly for at least 4 years. 3 other plumbers had said it wasn't possible to do without tearing apart the wall and replacing the pipes. Marc took the time to R&D and got it done for us, quickly too. So grateful that he didn't give up on it. Such a nice and genuine guy. He'll definitely be our go to moving forward, especially as we think about renovations!
