His office staff, however, left me wondering why they all seemed indifferent and detached, not friendly or empathetic. My second visit answered all my questions. It seems Dr. Bruno has a temper which he can't control. He fosters an environment of hostility. His "assistant" slammed a clipboard on the desk when I made a complaint and his "front desk secretary" heckled me as I was leaving the office. I also witnessed this same secretary being rude to an elderly patient. Now I understand the meaning of the trickle down theory. Shame on you Dr. Bruno and your rude staff.

I did a virtual consultation first with a very friendly staff member who answered all my questions. Then I did an in-person consultation and everyone who I met with there was extremely friendly, positive and helpful. I felt genuinely excited about correcting my -7 vision and the staff seemed excited for me too. The day of surgery I was a little nervous but mostly just looking forward to having good vision. The surgery was probably about 5 minutes altogether and it really was no big deal. I think people get worked up because the surgery is gruesome to watch on video but if you focus on your actual experience, which is painless, and just breathe, it's easy. I felt nothing leaving the office because the numbing drops hadn't worn off. By the time we got home, my eyes were starting to burn and tear and all I wanted to do was lay down and go to sleep. Because they were burning I couldn't fall asleep for about an hour but that feeling started to subside and I fell asleep for about 4 hours. When I woke up I felt much better and was seeing almost perfectly. My vision was a little hazy but clear. The day after one of them feels a little irritated like I have a dirty contact on but the haziness is already improving. The follow-up appointment went great and the doctor said my eyes look exactly as they should. Thank you for an excellent, life-changing experience!

Dr. Stoltz took extra time to walk me through my options, especially helping me decide between corrective vision and monovision. What stood out most was that he allowed me to experience what my vision would be like ahead of time, so I could make a truly informed decision without pressure. That level of patience and education meant everything. The office manager, Mrs. Parker, was also fantastic--she patiently went over all my paperwork, answered every question thoroughly, and made the administrative side feel seamless and stress-free. I would highly recommend LasikPlus, especially to anyone in their 50s who may feel unsure about whether LASIK is worth it at this stage of life. For me, it absolutely was.
