I wanted my makeup to be more natural and she did a perfect job of making me feel glammed up for the special day but still look like myself! We used airbrush foundation at the trial, but on the day of my wedding, it wasn't setting properly, so she washed it all off and started from scratch with liquid foundation and the result was fabulous. I walked in and the aesthetic of the salon was so cute and was greeted by my stylist, Lauren, who I soon found out was actually the owner - how lucky! She was so sweet, very communicative, gave advice on what she recommended for my hair and got straight to it. I did a really good deep treatment with steam which I've never done and is supposed to be really great to open up the hair follicles and I will say my hair was so silky smooth after! She responded to my inquiry text right away and a few texts later, I was all booked! Her studio is inside the John of Italy Salon. Parking lot is big and right next to entrance, so that's easy. Inside the space are floor to ceiling windows, so there is a ton of natural light, which definitely helps Hidi give you the best, most flawless application. I asked her for brown/golden smokey glam and she absolutely nailed it. Throughout the appointment she would hand me the mirror to check-in and make sure I was happy with how things were progressing, which was super nice. Each time she handed me the mirror, I was more and more in love with her work. By the end of the appointment, I was literally staring at myself in the mirror in awe and feeling/looking like a million bucks. She also did light styling on my hair and gave me soft, gorgeous waves. Honestly, I walked out of the salon, looking like a movie star. The event was super hot and everyone was sweating, but miraculously my makeup stayed put. Thank God Hidi made sure to lock it all in with several finishing sprays -- that definitely saved me. I will absolutely book with Hidi again and I'm so glad I found her.
