Well, I found her! Vanessa was an absolute delight, I don't think I actually explained what I wanted, because I didn't really know. But Vanessa did, it was almost like she looked at my face structure, hair color, skin color and then just set to. I have to say I did feel a little nervous as the process was going as Vanessa concentrates so much she doesn't talk through everything she's doing. Additionally, the salon doesn't keep track of lash styles per client, so if your usual artist isn't available, the replacement may use different curls or styles that aren't preferred. She didn't use any wax, just plucked my eyebrows to the perfect shape and kept the fullness of my eyebrows so she didn't over tweeze! The place is very nice, clean and soothing ambiance. If you live in Fort Myers and haven't been here, it's a MUST!! I've traveled the world and so far this location and one other place in Nevada are my two favorite places to have my eyebrows done!! The technique that Jane uses is perfect for people who have no/little existing brows because she measures your face, and where your features sit so that you can have symmetrical eyebrows where they're supposed to be, meaning if you're starting with 0 brows she can truly draw them on and make them look real. It can take a long time but that's because she is drawing every individual line. She worked on me for three hours the first visit, that said, it was not as painful as actual tattoos I have gotten, I was nearly falling asleep after a while because you get used to it. I wanted to support Jane's small business because she is a mom and an entrepreneur, she is straight from Vietnam so her son will sometimes translate on the first visit, this can make communication tricky so bring a translator app on your phone (I use google translate) and bring a photo of the brow shape you want if that's important to you- otherwise she will look at you and pick the shape that she thinks will fit best. Jane has worked with me to achieve the brow shape that I want. I went to a first appointment and thought they came a little long on the ends, when I went to the follow up appointment I told her where I wanted them to end and she did it. I am in the healing stage now but hopefully I can add pictures in a few weeks.

Where do I begin. Her name is Angel, and yesterday this woman was my Angel. I just moved to…read moreOrinda from the Peninsula. I am ad avid Eyelash extension gal for years. It was time for a fill so I searched for sometime in the Lamorninda area to find the best place. I came across a place called LASHIFY, it had 50 stellar reviews on Yelp. I felt like I was going to be in great hands. Making an apt was a struggle, but the owner, Kam finally called back. I arrived at my apt 10mins before start time. The owner came over to me and said that her worker would have yo take me, since I would need a full set and she wouldn't have time for me. I told her when I booked I may need a full set and to schedule appropriately, guess she didn't. I was reluctant to agree to this. I booked with Kam, not her worker. I wanted to be kind and not rude, so I went along with it. Bad idea. From starting to take my few lashes off, to the burning that I was getting as they were getting applied, I knew in my gut this wasn't right. As I mentioned Ive been doing this for YEARS. I would fall asleep because it was so relaxing. I told the woman to stop, the owner came over and she proceeded. During the entire 1.5hrs I was on edge and the burning got worse. When I was done, it two the owner and the woman that worked on me to get my eyelids open. Again, not normal. None of what I went through was normal. I left and knew something wasn't right. The next morning-7am, I awoke to red eyes and my under eyelids in pain, it hurt to blink. I knew my gut was right, this woman did something very wrong. I called an optometrist and LM. I than found Nice Lash and Brow Bar AKA Angel. I called her, not expecting a pick up but more so to LM. Well, she picked up. I started to tell her what happened and she immediately said you need them off NOW. ASAP. NOW. She said you should never ever have redness, itchiness nothing. If I do, than the application, glue was not right. I got worried. She didn't plan to come in right away, but wanted to help. She told me to meet me at her place and she will be there once she drops her daughter off at school. Amazing. I also told her I had my 3yr old with me, she said no problem. I arrived and was graciously greeted. She had an adorable stuffed owl for my daughter, a juice box and a treat to keep her entertained. AMAZING. As she was taking the lashes off the burning was SOO intense and SOO painful. It wasn't anything she was doing it was how LASHIFY applied them. They were applied ON MY SKIN and the glue she said, she had never seen before. SO think and in 12years never seen and it wasn't ok. Angel, was in disbelief as to what she saw was done to me. After 20mins of BURNING, the lashes were off. She encouraged me to seek medical attention to ensure nothing is wrong. She also didn't charge me for this. Can we just take a minute to say how amazing this woman was to me? She opened her doors to me, when she didn't have to, brought things for my daughter so she was amused, and didn't charge me. How did I not find her before?? Kind, kind woman. Ethics, moral and workmanship like no other. She gained a new client, me. Shes been in the industry for 12years and she is fantastic at what she does. She is highly educated and this is all she does. So much, that she offers training so that people out there do not do what they did to me. What the woman at LASHIFY did was not acceptable and I could take them to the board. I could've had damage to my eyes and a bad infection. I later went to the optometrist and they were borderline infected, but not. I did get prescribed steroid drops and I cant put anything on my eyes until its full yhealed-2 weeks. What a day yesterday was for me. If this was my first experience getting lashes, I tell you I would've been scarred and never gotten them again. But because Ive had them done for years and NEVER had a problem, I know its not a product of the service but the person doing it. So, after this long, but important review I tell you this. If you want your lashes done in this area-you go to someone skilled, trained and has years under their belt. That would be at Angel's place. Do not go to LASHIFY. Some may say well, maybe the owner, Kam knows what shes doing, and you just got the bad worker. If an owner takes on an employee and doesn't check background and do their work to ensure who they take on than that's a BIG negative on her. I could've lost my eye sight, I could've gotten a bad infection. its bad enough that I endured what I did. The saving grace in all of this was meeting Angel. What a gem of a person. So kind. This is who you want to see when your getting something like this done. This is her craft and has been her specialty for 12 years and she trains people! Kam has been doing for 3years. Don't go to LASHIFY. Come to Nice Lashes and Brow and meet Angel. Angel. thank you! I will see you in a couple of weeks so you can do some fabulous lashes on me
