Get your lashes done here! Angel knows what she is doing while being fast and efficient. I sometimes forget I have lashes on because they don't shed as fast as other places I've been too. The most I've seen come off in one day is two. I am very pleased after getting a full set and 1 fill. Where do I begin. Her name is Angel, and yesterday this woman was my Angel. I just moved to Orinda from the Peninsula. I am ad avid Eyelash extension gal for years. It was time for a fill so I searched for sometime in the Lamorninda area to find the best place. I came across a place called LASHIFY, it had 50 stellar reviews on Yelp. I felt like I was going to be in great hands. Making an apt was a struggle, but the owner, Kam finally called back. I arrived at my apt 10mins before start time. The owner came over to me and said that her worker would have yo take me, since I would need a full set and she wouldn't have time for me. I told her when I booked I may need a full set and to schedule appropriately, guess she didn't. I was reluctant to agree to this. I booked with Kam, not her worker. I wanted to be kind and not rude, so I went along with it. Bad idea. From starting to take my few lashes off, to the burning that I was getting as they were getting applied, I knew in my gut this wasn't right. As I mentioned Ive been doing this for YEARS. I would fall asleep because it was so relaxing. I told the woman to stop, the owner came over and she proceeded. During the entire 1.5hrs I was on edge and the burning got worse. When I was done, it two the owner and the woman that worked on me to get my eyelids open. Again, not normal. None of what I went through was normal. I left and knew something wasn't right. The next morning-7am, I awoke to red eyes and my under eyelids in pain, it hurt to blink. I knew my gut was right, this woman did something very wrong. I called an optometrist and LM. I than found Nice Lash and Brow Bar AKA Angel. I called her, not expecting a pick up but more so to LM. Well, she picked up. I started to tell her what happened and she immediately said you need them off NOW. ASAP. NOW. She said you should never ever have redness, itchiness nothing. If I do, than the application, glue was not right. I got worried. She didn't plan to come in right away, but wanted to help. She told me to meet me at her place and she will be there once she drops her daughter off at school. Amazing. I also told her I had my 3yr old with me, she said no problem. I arrived and was graciously greeted. She had an adorable stuffed owl for my daughter, a juice box and a treat to keep her entertained. AMAZING. As she was taking the lashes off the burning was SOO intense and SOO painful. It wasn't anything she was doing it was how LASHIFY applied them. They were applied ON MY SKIN and the glue she said, she had never seen before. SO think and in 12years never seen and it wasn't ok. Angel, was in disbelief as to what she saw was done to me. After 20mins of BURNING, the lashes were off. She encouraged me to seek medical attention to ensure nothing is wrong. She also didn't charge me for this. Can we just take a minute to say how amazing this woman was to me? She opened her doors to me, when she didn't have to, brought things for my daughter so she was amused, and didn't charge me. How did I not find her before?? Kind, kind woman. Ethics, moral and workmanship like no other. She gained a new client, me. Shes been in the industry for 12years and she is fantastic at what she does. She is highly educated and this is all she does. So much, that she offers training so that people out there do not do what they did to me. What the woman at LASHIFY did was not acceptable and I could take them to the board. I could've had damage to my eyes and a bad infection. I later went to the optometrist and they were borderline infected, but not. I did get prescribed steroid drops and I cant put anything on my eyes until its full yhealed-2 weeks. What a day yesterday was for me. If this was my first experience getting lashes, I tell you I would've been scarred and never gotten them again. But because Ive had them done for years and NEVER had a problem, I know its not a product of the service but the person doing it. So, after this long, but important review I tell you this. If you want your lashes done in this area-you go to someone skilled, trained and has years under their belt. That would be at Angel's place. Do not go to LASHIFY. Some may say well, maybe the owner, Kam knows what shes doing, and you just got the bad worker. If an owner takes on an employee and doesn't check background and do their work to ensure who they take on than that's a BIG negative on her. I could've lost my eye sight, I could've gotten a bad infection. its bad enough that I endured what I did. The saving grace in all of this was meeting Angel. What a gem of a person. So kind. This is who you want to see when your getting something like this done. This is her craft and has been her specialty for 12 years and she trains people! Kam has been doing for 3years. I recently got my eyelashes done at Nice Lash and Brow Bar of California by Maria N. It was my first time getting my lashes done, and I wasn't sure what to expect. Upon arrival, Maria greeted me at the entrance and we sat a had a consultation. She went over the process and then we began. I have a lot of lashes naturally, so it did take the full 2 hours to do the process. Maria was patient and INCREDIBLY nice. She made sure I was comfortable and warm, and was so attentive during the whole process. When I saw the finished project, I was ecstatic. My lashes looked exactly how I wanted them to look, and they were full and really made my eye pop. The process was painless and I was so relaxed I actually fell asleep.
