Several months before, I received some basic information and instructions and then was emailed more information about a week or so before the appointment. I was a little anxious at first because there were so many guidelines and rules, but the check-in process was quite seamless, and you can tell that the studio cares about health, safety, inclusivity, and security - which is so important! I really wanted to get one by him as well considering the great work he did for my friend. However, when I called and emailed I discovered they only allow for appointments made IN PERSON. This is perfectly convenient for people like my friend who live in Maple Grove, but an unnecessary inconvenience for people willing to drive farther. So let me get this straight, I have to drive 35-40 minutes (one way) just to schedule an appointment? Not only that, but I don't want to discuss my tattoo with just anyone; I want to be able to talk with MY artist...not some random "walk-in" artist. Can't I make an appointment with that specific artist so I KNOW they will be available when I get up there? Nope. You just have to be...well...LUCKY. When it comes to permanent ink in my skin, I want certainty. Identity made me feel like they didn't really care one way or another about my business. I guess they get more than enough business from Maple Grove.

I had an hour slot booked where I wanted to do a couple smaller memorial tattoos in memory of my mother who passed from ovarian cancer. The nice thing is, I had changed my mind a bit since showing the initial proof to Zion Tattoo when I initially booked. Travis was totally fine with it and adjusted to my wants. I also appreciated how he added his input on my ideas to ensure they looked good upon completion. I was there for about 45 minutes, everything was fast and inclusive. It was an amazing experience in a clean and comfortable environment and I appreciated how Travis kept checking in with me to make sure I was doing alright and was just very personable. He takes pride in his work and I'd definitely recommend Travis at Zion as an artist and one who especially pays attention to detail - even the smaller detail tattoos - and I will definitely be returning again for more!

My three daughters and I decided kind of last minute that we wanted to try to get matching tattoos…read moreon Mothers Day (5/10/26) I called around to a few places on Wednesday May 6th and when I got ahold of Scottish Rose, the girl that answered told me immediately that she would send out a group text and see if anybody was available to accommodate us. I got an email from Zac about 30 minutes later, saying he could see us on Mothers Day at noon and just to send him an idea of what we were looking for. Zac was quick to respond to me and to top it off, he came in on his day off to do this for us! When we got there he had a few stencils drawn up for us to choose from (based on the ideas I had sent him via email), he tweaked one of them a little bit for us, and then we got started. The place is spacious, well lit and super clean, we watched Zac take his time to clean up the area and his equipment in between each one of our tattoos. He was fun and friendly and patient with us due to our indecisiveness (remember... 4 women!!). We are all very pleased with the end results and would highly recommend Scottish Rose Tattoo, specifically, Zac!
