    Tons O food

We were traveling thru and had heard good things about the Permastone. Well it was true, cool little mountain feel to it woth some taxidermy animals and a nice bar, huge dining room area. Well then we got to see other people's food coming out and let me tell you it was crazy to see the portion sizes! I ate a half of a burger and it felt like a whole one, cheese steak can feed 3 lol. Loaded cheese fries and the loaded nachos also just crazy huge.

    Standard burger

This is the basic burger and basic BLT. If I recall correctly $14.00 and $9.00 respectively. If you're smart, you'll order half of what you think you can eat, but you'll still have leftovers. The food quality is decent, but a definite bargain for the price Pleasantly candid staff..." the kitchen is Hell tonight". Excellent people watching opportunity. Go for the experience!

If you are looking for BIG portions then this is the place for you. The burgers and chinked sandwiches are juicy and tasty. The service is good. The place could use a good cleaning and do something about their fly problem. If they do that then this is a five star place.

Tig burger!! No challenge, it's just a burger.

Awesome food. Huge portions. Great service and staff. I go one twice a year and eat like a king.

My brother and I went here for the first time on April 6th 2024. We had heard about it from a friend so decided to go on a road trip to try it out. WOW! That's what we both said when our sandwiches came out. I got a chicken cheesesteak and he got the cheesesteak. The roll was fresh and completely stuffed with chicken, cheese, grilled onions, peppers and mushrooms. When I cut it half I could barely close it enough so that I could get my mouth around it. We also got a large fry to split but it was completely unnecessary. We hardly ate a quarter of them and could only finish half of our sandwiches. I didn't mention that both of our sandwiches were delicious also. Very good. We both will definitely be back because we saw other food being served like the cheeseburgers that looked fantastic also. Definitely worth the drive. Our service was excellent also. The price was great. Our sandwiches were around $15 each but they were twice the size of the sandwich you would buy in State College for that same amount. LOVED IT!!!

Huge plates. Food is great. Be patient. Family run and operated so they are usually busy and overworked.

Food is fantastic and there is plenty of it! We eat there quite often and if you really want a treat, try the "Wing Dings".

Absolutely beautiful property, many amenities for guests to enjoy and the two corgis running around was a lovely bonus if you ask my 8 year old daughter. We enjoyed sitting on the covered porch of the farmhouse and playing board games while we waited for dusk. Breakfast was delicious - plenty of options to meet every palate. Lots of cute goodies in the gift shop as well. Price was very reasonable, especially for the service provided. We would love to stay again one day!

It is the most peaceful place and we loved staying there. There is a shared living room, kitchen, and wrap around porch. We spent hours on the porch as we don't have any outdoor space at our home in the city. We met sooo many nice people who were staying there and we all hung out on the porch together each day. We arrived on a Sunday night and learned from other guests that no places are open for dining on Sundays, so we went to the local food store and bought steaks and other side dishes and cooked out on the gas grill area. Like everyone is saying in their reviews, the breakfast is spectacular. We also bought a ton of homemade jam, salsa, and honey in the gift shop. It was quite reasonably priced. In terms of exercising, I didn't really feel safe biking or running from the bnb as the roads have no shoulder and the large trucks speed down the road, but my bf biked from there every day. I walked the steep hilly dirt road across the street and drove to safer places to run/bike. Everything is a pretty far drive away, but I think that is normal life for this part of the state and we just enjoyed the scenery of country life on our drives. I def would stay here again next time if I come back to this area.

We stayed in one of the suites as all the cabins had been already booked. But even though you have neighbors, you don't get the feeling that you're crowded. One of my favorite parts was sitting on the balcony at night and in the early morning staring at the creek. Brings a sense of peace and calm. The room was fully stocked with towels, sheets, washcloths. All sorts of kitchen gadgets. There is an AC, fan, fireplace. Pretty much everything you need for your stay is provided. Now cellphone service is spotty to non existent so plan accordingly. The place has wifi but the signal at the suites isn't very strong so it was constantly going in and out. My only complaint is that the gazebo has this giant led light strip that they keep on all night. We wanted to take some photos of the night sky but this bright light that is kept on prevented us from doing that. All in all, great place to spend a few days with some peace and quiet.

The images on the website are fake. Our room was not a suite, not luxury and not spacious as depicted. It was tiny! Our bed was next to the refrigerator. We had to walk one at a time between the bed and kitchen counter. The sofa was so old when we sat down we sank into the floor and had a very hard time getting up out of the hole. We will not return. We got so tired of hearing the truck engines on our short vacation. What a disappointment. Do not recommend.
