I think they are still working out kinks with service, though, because we waited 25 minutes for our breakfast on a not busy day. We got a yogurt parfait and an egg sandwich- and although it was delicious it was a long long wait AND they didn't tell me they were out of avocado for my sandwich (I'll forgive them I guess). Visiting my hometown from Chicagoland intending to check out several independent coffee shops. Mom and I went out for lunch, both ordering the grilled veggie panini. It was fantastic and fresh, I would have liked a little more dressing for the side greens. As others have noted, they may still be working out the kinks of a new business..it did take longer than expected for our sandwiches to arrive (I thought they'd forgotten us). For a lunch date with Mom, that was fine with me! The honey ginger "latte" was by far my favorite item we ordered. The California gold dust "latte" was worth trying (neither came with espresso though...should advertise as steamers) iced coffee was fabo too. Stopped in yesterday to pick up a couple cold brews and was going to order breakfast. Not one person had on a mask when making the drinks, taking orders, or giving out food. The screens were not wiped down in between people either. I don't understand how this is sanitary considering covid is still a huge risk for us all with cases rising everyday. One of my favorite places to sit and get coffee and work. They have so many food options as well (vegan) friendly which is a huge plus.

I am visiting from out of town and stumbled across this gem on yelp. The ambience is excellent, staff is extremely nice and the food and drinks are amazing! Ive gone on two occasions. The first time I got a quiche and two date energy balls. The quiche was delicious! The energy balls were ok, two sweet for me with both maple syrup and dates. My friend got the breakfast wrap and charcoal/rose latte. The latte was amazing. The second time I got the egg and cheese croissant and a matcha latte. Sandwhich was a little small, but still delicious. The latte was great! I will definitely be back. read more

Charming little cafe. Feels like you're entering an old southern house. Decor is cheery and its easy to eat there and feel relaxed. I've had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and the food has always been good. I love their quiche and when they have tacos. They have an array of lattes, the lavender is very delicious. They will accommodate for sensitivities. Generally the wait staff is friendly, there have been times not so much. Not sure why. Some of the food items tend to be priced higher than i feel they should although not outrageous. Its a great place for a light bite to meet up with friends. Dog friendly. I'm so glad I found this place! Stopped in on my lunch break, the veggie wrap and smoothie were both delicious and fresh. I'm looking forward to bringing my fiancé here for breakfast and a repeat lunch on the weekend. The atmosphere is also really cute too, I sat outside with the cooler weather and sunshine today and it was the perfect lunch break. I love small locally owned coffee shops and this one did not disappoint. What an excellent experience visiting Peak! Honestly, it was after seeing some of their social media that I decided to venture out and find this place. Everything looks so inviting. I was not wrong. In fact, it was after Hurricane Dorian that Perk was open when others were not. The quality of the coffee was excellent. The quality of the service was incredible and, even in the face of people who were extremely tense during the storm, the staff did an extraordinarily good job of being patient and kind. My love for this place is too much sometimes. The food is INCREDIBLE. If you ever see the breakfast burrito on the daily menu- get it. They put effort into being eco-friendly, they have a dog friendly patio, adorable place inside to work, adorable environment outside to sit and chat, and on top of it the staff is always extremely friendly. So I was happy to see that this location had a coffee house again. And then I went -- twice. The inside is kind of dark; the mood sort of matches. The first time with a friend who got a panini that looked like it had been run over. The owner explained that they were having issues with their bread supplier. But still served the sandwich! I honestly can't remember what I had (one of the sandwiches) which means that it was not remarkable. The check was about $30, which was pretty pricey for what was served. The second time I went there the owner was pacing and glowering. Not relaxing -- dark mood continues . . . Anyway, I got a spinach and feta egg white souffle. Would have been better to call it a spinach egg white souffle since there was one tiny chunk of feta in it. Of course tiny matches the portion size (about 3 inches across and 1 inch high) so maybe that's why. Great if you're on a diet. The "side" that came with this lil gem was: 4 mixed green lettuce leaves, 1.5 cherry tomatoes, and 2 thin slices of cucumber. Seriously? I'm not a big eater but pleeez -- if you're going to serve food, serve enough so that customers know what it tastes like (unless it looks like it's been run over -- then don't serve it at all). And, do it with a smile -- like the perky young woman behind the counter. I guess they still have kinks to work out so I'll take a hiatus from this place and hope it works out for them. I was a bit nervous to try a mushroom blend latte so I ordered a small, and it was so good I went back the next day for a large.
