I must say that I am surprised at some of the reviews that have been posted. I've been there several times and the staff was always helpful and friendly. I've been in a BMW since 2001 and they (Perillo) are by far tops with customer service. None of the salespeople at a local dealership, which I won't name, would give me the time of day (even after I was already in a BMW and looking for something new). A receptionist always had to corner one to talk to me. That wasn't the case at Perillo, where I've bought 3 cars since having first walked through their doors several years ago. I've always found each trip to Perillo to be pleasant and was always pleased with the service I received; all way from the salesfloor up to financing. Chris is great and has always gone the extra mile to help me find what I'm looking and get me the best pricing available. As such, all 3 of my purchases have been from her. I recommend her to everyone I know that may be in the market for a BMW (new or used). A co-worker bought a car from her on my recommendation and was also pleased with the experience. Financing is financing, but Chris always let me know of any incentives going on and neither her nor the finance person ever had a problem or copped an attitude if I financed a car through someone other than BMW financial services. Nothng was ever forced on me and no one ever attempted to coerce me into anything I was not comfortable with. Saleem, the sales manager, was always real friendly (including before I ever bought my first car from Perillo). I have never met Joe Perillo, Jr, but Joe Perillo, Sr has always been the consumate professional. To illustrate, I, unfortunately, turned out to be unhappy with a car I purchased (technically, I've gotten 4 cars from Perillo). It was not the fault of the dealership or anyone within, I was just not satisfied with certain aspects of the car. I have a bit of a car fetish so I'm a bit picky. :) Chris, Saleem, and Joe Perillo, Sr worked with me to get me into a car that did make me happy and I walked out no worse for wear and in a car that made me happy. I can't thank them enough for doing what they did. I can't say enough about the service I've received from Perillo and their staff. I've been to every dealership in the Chicagoland area and have had the best experience at Perillo. I would not hesitate to go back to them and I will continue to recommend them to friends. Many thanks to everyone there. read more

CROOKS AVOID AT ALL COSTS We bought both of our BMW's in California and brought them to Chicago when we moved. We had no idea the level of incompetence and crookedness we would encounter at this dealership when we came to them for repairs. I brought in my X4 to get serviced and they took pictures of every part of the vehicle to show what was before and after. Oddly enough this wasn't the case when I brought in my 3 series for repairs, and I had to come back because the check engine light was on. The engine was also making a weird noise when we got it back from the initial repair and we told them of this. They said it wasn't an issue. A week later the lights are all on and the noise is louder. When we came back they told us a rat had gotten into the engine in the 1 week we had it back and that we had to pay to get it fixed. We asked to see the pictures of the rat and the car and suddenly they didn't have them. What a strange coincidence. This is a garage kept vehicle with 4 other cars and not a single one of them have shown any rat damage in the year it's been there. Even stranger, when we initially took the car in, they tried to sell us on a new 3 series. When we brought the car back in they loaned us the same brand new fully loaded 3 series. For comparison the loaners we had before and after were a 7 year old Chevy Volt, and a 8 year old Ford Fusion. The dealership suddenly demanded the new loaner back after we requested the pictures of the car and rat. The general manager looked me and my husband in the eye and told us that he would take care of the issue and that we wouldn't have to pay the deductible. He shook our hands and lied to our faces because when we go to pick up the car, the deductible needs to be paid and the general manager is nowhere to be seen. General manager and ANYONE that could have helped at all leave at 5. They call us at 4:50 to come get our car. We show up and the manager that promised us no deductible is gone and so is his flimsy word. Awfully convenient. This by far the worst dealership / auto repair facility I have ever had the misfortune of encountering. Had the manager been honest with us we could have gone elsewhere and saved on our deductible. Again these people are sociopathic crooks. Avoid at all costs if you value: A. Your money B. Your time C. Your car D. Your sanity read more

Had an OK buying experience. Horrible service experience: 1. When purchasing the car I noticed a $189 appearance package. This was for a full tank of gas and detailing. Car had dirt in easy to reach crevices and was lightly washed. Not impressed. During first service visit, they tried to sell me a detail package for the car totaling $200. After some of the reviews I read, I wouldn't let them detail my car for free. 2. Parts that they said would be given to me after purchasing the car still not delivered. bought the car 3 weeks ago. Still waiting for parts (floor mats\extra key ....) 3. When the price was finalized, I let them know I would stop by the next day to pick up the car as it was late. Gave them the whole day to get the car ready. Barley cleaned, per #1, and the details of my sale were all wrong (Forgot to include the trade in, down payment amount was wrong, plates were not transferred, "We Owe You" slip was missing 4 items). When I brought up the missing 4 items I was told not to worry as they will take care of them. Had to insist they put it in writing. Not to mention, this whole process should have taken an hour. It ended up taking 3-4 as my sales man decided to help other customers while I waited for him at his desk. 4. Money was taken out of the car. I had ~$5 in quarters in the change holder of the car. The reason I know this was because I had just deposited loose change to my bank and remembered to leave $5 in my car for metered parking. When receiving the car back I only had a $1. $4 is not a big deal, but the fact you needed to steal it urks me. If at all possible go somewhere else to buy your car. They know people will keep coming to their dealership for convenience. But if their pocket book starts hurting, even a little, they will have to compete with other dealerships and be forced to provide better service. read more

Geeeeez, where do I begin with my HORROR Story of this (B)owel (M)ovement (W)orsening, dealership?? 1st The commercial with the ugly Joe Perrillo JR. with the BAD 80s RUG on his head, makes him look like Gene Simmons UGLY brother. He's a Jagoff and douchebag of the highest degree. I've been unfortunate enough to have been dealing with these slimeballs since about 1981, when Joe Sr. operated a Pontiac dealership in the 1000 W Diversey block on the border of Lincoln Park and Lakeview. Then Joe Sr. got his BMW dealership and opened at about 2900 N Halsted in Lakeview. When this arrogant former Board of Trade scumbag was on Diversey him and his "goons" used to be opened until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights and would hang out until 2am hoping someone drunk would buy one of their pieces of junk. I would get off work at 11 and take the El to Diversey and walk home to Southport and Diversey. I was only about 20 then and Perrillo and his goons would talk about me as I passed by. I'd stop and look at for sale signs or rent signs in that 1000-1200 block on Diversey and they would make jokes like: "What's he doing looking at those for sale signs? He can't afford that house. Besides those RUDE remarks they would make other disparaging remarks. It's time for payback on here. One night him and 4 employees made remarks and I told them to go "F--- themselves" and one of them picked up a beer can and threw it at me. I should have called the cops but it would have taken them 45 minutes to come if even they ever came. I believe the BAD reviews these cretins are getting is that KARMA getting back at them and also the fact that their kids are uglier than some Sea Monsters and I hope old man Perrillo and his cretin son read this review and realize their Karma is getting back at them 30 years later. Don't ever buy any car from these scumbags. read more

Contrary to many of the negative posts I've read here, I've had pretty good experiences at Perillo BMW over the past three months that I've done business with them. When my wife and I initially went to test drive a 550i GT that I'd seen listed among their CPO used cars, our salesperson Alan Sahagian's informed, polite, and no pressure sales approach made for a pleasant shopping experience. We ended up not buying the particular GT that we looked at because it didn't have all-wheel drive or "XDrive" but had that not been the case, after some price negotiation, we probably would have purchased the car from him. Perhaps more important than our pleasant sales experience with Alan has been our experience with Perillo's Service Department. After finding and purchasing a beautiful 2011 550i GT XDrive with 26k miles (24k warranty balance based on mileage and about 20 months of time warranty), I immediately took the car in for service where I met Brad Inguagiato. Since the day that I first walked in, Brad too has offered me polite and competent service, and has helped me to get my new used car into as close to perfect shape as possible. Further, my dealings with J. Diaz who runs Perillo's Collision Center, which also handles non-repair, customer specific cosmetic modifications, offered me competitive pricing when I sought to have a "Show-n-Go" ("hideaway") license plate installed on my car. His team also did a really nice job when I brought my car in to have it fully detailed. All this being said, I would be the first person to complain, both on Yelp and to BMW of North America if I hadn't received the level of service that I'd expect from a BMW dealer, but as far as my dealings with Perillo BMW are concerned, that just hasn't been the case so, for the above reasons, I have given Perillo BMW 4 out of 5 stars. read more

Thought I'd share the wonderful experience I had at the Perillo BMW Service Department. In particular was the outstanding customer service provided by Alex Padalko, Service Advisor at Perillo BMW. The great and very noticeable thing about Alex was his personalized and customer centric attitude. He took the time to listen and answer all my questions. From there on, it was as if the car I brought in for service was his and he was going to make sure everything was checked and working properly before signing off. I originally brought it in because there was an issue with the AC system, which was still under warranty. Within a few hours Alex called me with an update and a precise timeframe when it would be fixed (they needed order a part and thus required an extra day). He made sure it agreed with my schedule and offered me a loaner car, which I actually didn't need. (Note: earlier that day they also provided a ride via Lyft to my office). Later that same day, I also remembered some tightness with the iDrive dial and emailed Alex who immediately responded that he would check it out. Alex promptly called me the next day informing me that the AC system had been fixed and that he also had the iDrive dial replaced. When I went to pick-up my car, not only did Alex ensure that the two original issues were resolved, he also had done a complete diagnostic on the car, had the oil and wiper blades changed and put a new battery in my key fob. Additionally when I inquired about the cost of another key fob, Alex personally walked me over to the parts department to get the answer. He could have just directed there. But here again Alex went above and beyond to make my service experience at Perillo BMW very personal. Thank you Alex! I am happy to recommend you and the rest of the service team at Perillo BMW. read more

My husband and I recently had our 550i GT transported from Scottsdale to Chicago this month and from the second we got it off the truck it has given us nothing but trouble. Not 10 minutes after the car transport truck drove off, did lights start flashing in the dash. Drivetrain malfunction, service required, amongst others. At 15 mph we drove the car straight to Periilo. From the second we pulled in, they were attentive and helpful. From the service technician assigned to us (Shawn) to the service manager (Isaac) they were ready and willing to go the extra mile. Our warranty had run out just week earlier and the staff at BMW went to bat for us petitioning BMW to pick up a portion of the cost. They made all the necessary repairs (new fuel injector, new fuel pressure sensor, 3 crank case pipes, new battery, new spark plugs) promptly and charged us a fraction of what we thought we would have to pay. One would think that would be the end of the story... but nope. Not 2 weeks later on a road trip to Pennsylvania our rear suspension air bags blew out. After driving over 900 miles there and back with no suspension, we returned to Chicago and drove straight back to Perillo BMW. Our service technician Albin gladly took the car back in and started searching for the needed parts. Not only where they nowhere to be found in the USA, but they needed to be ordered from Germany. Perillo was on it, and once again, because our 2010 only has 32,000 miles on it, went to bat with BMW for us recommending we don't pay the full amount. The car has not been a dream, but Perillo has. We will be trading our car in for another BMW and wouldn't dream of going anywhere but Perillo. Thank you Isaac, Shawn, and Albin... You are sanity savers FOR SURE! I bought and financed a 2016 # series from Perillo the week of Jan 7, 2019. One of the very specific points brought up by the Salesman (Marco) was that the car had the remaining 30,000 mile maintenance warranty. Although I wasn't planning on "cleaning up" on usage of the remaining warranty, it was a plus that I would at least get a scheduled maintenance or two out of it. I scheduled an Oil Change for Monday May 20. After the work was finished, I was informed that There was a $180 charge as the maintenance warranty was not transferable. In short, I was lied to when I bought the car. When I arrived to pick up the car after 3pm, Chris (the service writer) was VERY polite, and directed me to the general manager on hand so I could voice my complaint. The general manager on duty argued with me about what I had agreed to originally. Admittedly, I made a loud scene, and ultimately the general manager gave up arguing with me, and threw me out of his private office. Since I would not go way with this complaint, the general manager eventually agreed to waive that day's payment for "goodwill" purposes. The General Manager bought no goodwill with his behavior. Instead of looking at the work being done, the mileage on the car (and discerning that I probably would not be back again before the expiration of the warranty), and figuring it made good business sense to waive payment, the General Manger made it very clear how Perillo ultimately does business and treats their clientele. I have bought cars from 3 different BMW dealerships, but I don't repeat business with businesses that lie to me. I will not buy another car from Perillo. Ever. Dennis Dooley read more

My wife and I were in the market for a certified preowned vehicle with low mileage. We visited a number of dealerships in our search and felt overwhelmed by options that we weren't certain how to appropriately evaluate. We were also distrustful of the sales associates after having a notably bad experience at another location. It wasn't until we connected with Don Mariano at Perillo that we felt at ease. He was thorough and thoughtful in guiding us through vehicle comparisons and the entire sale and service process. Perillo wasn't nearby for us, but the additional distance was more than worthwhile thanks to Don. He's an honest straight shooter and a consummate professional with extensive product knowledge. He made the most of our time and was a tremendous resource. Thanks to him, we got a handle of our options and were able to efficiently sort out which vehicle had the best value for us. We felt that Don went the extra mile and gave us the VIP treatment (even making himself available after hours), but we quickly learned that everyone he works with feels the same way. Don made excellent recommendations that simplified the entire process for us and showed he clearly understood our needs and what we would find to be most relevant and desirable. The Perillo team worked quickly to improve the condition of the vehicle we purchased (repainting the bumper, repairing some chipping on a door handle, installing new tires, etc.). We'll be customers for life now! Thank you, Don and the Perillo team! read more

If you're out-of-state and searching the 'net, don't hesitate to buy from Perillo! I decided to purchase a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) M4. In the used car market, finding the perfect car requires expanding one's search to out-of-state. I did just that, and found my dream car, a 2015 7k mile Sakhir Orange M4, at Perillo. Vanessa Carr, a long time employee of Perillo, helped me through the purchase. She made what could have been an awful experience quite enjoyable, going out of her way on several occasions to help me with my many questions. Documents were shipped to me, and, after signing them, the car was shipped from Chicago to my home in Naples, FL. Upon receiving the vehicle, I noticed there was a scratch that wasn't evident in the photos. Vanessa had sent many high resolution photos, and I'm certain the scratch was a result of something well beyond the dealership's control. Although the damage was minimal, in my eyes, it was horrific. Without hesitation, Vanessa, and Perillo's manager, Mark, stepped up to the plate and got the issue resolved. This desire to please their customer, even when I was 2,000 miles away, speaks volumes of Perillo's customer service, and of their persistence to satisfy their buyers, regardless of whether or not they've purchased new or used. My next car - CPO or new - will come from Perillo, and from Vanessa. Why? Because when so many on and of this earth seem not to, these people truly care. If only I could give them zero stars. I needed my 2017 3 series repaired after an accident. So I took it to this dealership. When their affiliated shop completed the work and returned my car. Of course it wasn't completed. Nothing too crazy, just a door not shutting properly. Days after the bodywork issues are finally behind me the check engine light is on. I wait a week to finally get into the shop with them again and they tell me that rats have eaten my wires in the days I've actually had my car back and it's my fault. Now, these must be some magical rats we have in Chicago. Since they managed to find their way into a sealed, poisoned, and trap laden garage... and yet here it is. Of course I tell BMW that this must have have happened at their shop based on the timeline. They agree it looks funny. They still have me file an insurance claim but tell me that they will "take care of the deductible." What's another 3k added to the last 18k in insurance damages. When I finally get my car back. They tell me that they know they promised to do something, but they won't. I fight and argue. They even agree that that they promised that exact thing. Even had it written on the invoice. STILL CHARGED ME! That wasThis dealer won't see another penny from me. read more

It was late winter early spring of last year. My son had purchased a used BMW and before the car was sold the previous owner had installed a new battery. It was 5 pm and he was on Lawrence avenue at the intersection of California and the car shuts down. Everything was inoperable from the gear shift level to put the car in neutral to the emergency flashers. The trunk could not be opened nothing worked. I drove to over to help and was preparing to call the motor club. Drivers behind the car were irate they were yelling to put the flashers on! Push the car out of the way! None of which we were capable of doing. All of a sudden a BMW one series SUV pulls up and a young man asks what's the problem? He pulls over opens the hatch of his car pulls out a few tools gets the trunk open on the stranded car and informs us the battery was disconnected. He had it fixed in five minutes. This gentleman was Peter Mers a technician from Perillo BMW he had us back on our way and also showed us were we could access a release to move the gear shift lever if it ever happened again. This act of kindness and loyalty to BMW owners speaks volumes about Peter as well as the character of the people working at Perillo. read more

Lipstick on a pig... oh you must mean Perillo; Greasy fingered bottom dwellers. They vandalize personal property, don't perform the services you pay for and then coward out and won't phone you back Way to strive for 5 Angelo. He actually left a voicemail asking that I give all 10's so they can keep their rating up. How many bad reviews do these people have to get before someone steps in to investigate their business practices? Skilled technicians Perillo claims on their website and paperwork but skill must have taken Tuesday and Friday off when I brought my car there and they put the rookie J Cosmetics guy on the floor pimpn his great shaved rims deal of the week. Do I get a faux Rolex to compliment the rip off cause that would be just swell. I have emailed, phoned and left messages for just about everyone there. Excellent experience with Jason Neagu at Perillo BMW! I recently purchased my BMW X1 from Perillo BMW and had a fantastic experience working with Jason Neagu! From the beginning, Jason was patient, professional and incredibly accommodating. My purchase involved a tradein, outside financing through credit union and coordinating paperwork and vehicle pickup around multiple schedules. Jason helped navigate the entire process, answered my questions and made sure everything came together smoothly. What I appreciated most was his patience and willingness to work with my particular circumstances. He never made me feel rushed or pressured, and he went out of his way to make the experience as convenient as possible. I'm absolutely loving my new Beamer! If you're looking for a vehicle at Perillo BMW, I highly recommend asking for Jason Neagu. Thank you again, Jason, for all your help and for making this such a positive experience! A special thank you to Sebastian Zielinski in Finance as well for his assistance with the paperwork and helping make the entire process seamless. Sean Dwyer in Perillo BMW is a super star. Sean managed to find and secure an allocation for an X5M as soon as I expressed an interest in the vehicle. Sean meticulously worked to build and place an order while making it all look easy. Sean is extremely responsive to queries and messages. In a world where car salesmen try to get customers to come into the dealership for every matter big or small from building the car to getting a credit application through, Sean's approach of taking care of every detail either big or small on texts and online was quite refreshing. Such an approach saves resources and time all around for the dealer and the customer. While I'm sure the strength of the BMW brand makes Sean's life easier to sell premium cars, Sean's diligence and attention to detail certainly adds value to the brand and adds that finesse to the customer experience. For example, Sean went above and beyond to secure the BMW M sport 50th anniversary logo when I requested for one. Sean goes about doing his job effectively and has a manner of direct speaking and getting things done without any fuss. read more

I've been a Perillo customer for nine years and have NEVER encountered a disaster like these people. I've bought three cars from there ranging from a 5 series to now an X6. The staff at this location treats you like how you expect to be treated at a high end dealership. I had an issue a few years ago with my 545i. The problem was incremental so when I took it in they couldn't find anything wrong with it and it wasn't registering in the computer. Didn't cost me a DIME. I brought it back a second time and the shop foremen took time out of his day and went with me on a test drive so he could experience the problem himself. After 10 minutes of driving my car started to act up. The next morning i had a call from my service advisor telling me my car was fixed and ready to be picked up. Since I've dealt with them for so long this is my standard. I've taken my car there for regular maintenance at least twenty times and have never had a horrible experience. If you're looking for a high end car at a high end dealership in Chicago I recommend and will continually recommend Perillo. read more

I had my BMW 525i towed to Perillo on Monday cause it stopped after it had been serviced at another car dealer for 3 weeks. From the moment of first communication I had a all around great experience with everyone. Alvin Guzman helped me out so much I couldn't say thank you enough. He went over and beyond to make sure that my car was In tip top condition, and that I would be happy. He battled with the warranty company to ensure everything would be covered, and made sure everything was running properly on my vehicle. I am extremely pleased with the level of time and dedication the service department put into my vehicle. Not to mention it only took 3 days to fix a nice list of things on my car, which I found remarkable. I will be sure that anytime my car needs to be serviced It will be serviced ONLY through Perillo cause I know the job will get done, and get done right the first time. Thank you Alvin, you are definitely in the right business. (Also a big thank you to the technician that actually worked on my car, my car is purring like a kitten :) read more

I will never, never, ever bring my business to this racist shop ever again. Angelo Montalbano is a scammed and a racist bum who overcharged me intentionally just for an oil change. I had been coming there to get my oil change for my 2017 BMW 4 series and it only $187, this time Angelo charged me $289 for tge oil change and they didn't change any of the air filters nor filled the coolant reservoir. When I asked to speak to the manager about it, he only wanted to offer a free detailing of the inside of my vehicle. I dont a dam detail, my car is already clean. I want to know why is my oil change costing $289? Perillo manger and staff member Angelo Montalbano is full of shit and are thirsty, racist scam to other racist of people.
