At the end of June, I brought a glasses Rx that I got somewhere else to Osius because they sell…read moreSilhouette glasses and I really love my Sihouettes. However, they were too expensive even after insurance and I was crushed. I was running out of time to use my insurance benefits due to a job change so I didn't really have a lot of options. So I looked around and one of the associates (I forget her name but she was younger, bubbly, and really friendly; this review would be a lot different if I'd only dealt with her) suggested frames that she said were like generic Sihouettes. I found a pair I liked and waited for 3 weeks for them to come in. Once they finally came in, I took time out of my busy schedule to go in with my spouse, pick the glasses up, and have them adjusted. The associate I liked wasn't in and we dealt with an older woman who had a very stern and unfriendly disposition that I later learned is named Suzie. She didn't direct us to a fitting table or even a chair. She was helping other people and we just stood by the door because we weren't sure what to do. We stood around awkwardly for a while and then she had me try them on, said she saw some ways they needed to be adjusted and then went to do that. However, it turns out the set of frames I picked out are basically unadjustable and I need a lot of adjustments to my glasses to make them fit comfortably. Obviously, they weren't going to work. I was devastated because they were already my second choice and they took longer to come in than I've usually had to wait since I started wearing glasses. Suzie talked us into trying them at home for a few days but they didn't work so I ended up having to go back in and get another pair on a very tight schedule in order not to miss their 30 day replacement clause since it took so very long for them to come in, in the first place. I settled on a pair of wire frame normal glasses in a similar colour that I didn't hate and so we got them replaced. And then it took 4 (FOUR!) weeks for them to come in. Those glasses came to me with a manufacturing flaw, which I didn't notice for a week or so, and we dealt with Suzie again. Despite complaining to the manager last time about how she just left us by the door, she didn't do anything different this time. She fitted me standing, again, and we weren't directed to a fitting table or chair, again, even though I use a cane. When I noticed the flaw on the glasses, we went back again because I also needed further adjustments. I showed the frames to Suzie, asking about the flaw, and she said she'd "take them into the bright light" to look. Again, we weren't directed to a fitting table or anything. We waited and waited for what felt like forever. And then she came back and she'd scratched off the finish from part of the frame, totally missing the flaw, saying she "tried to fix it" but she made it worse because now the base frame color, which was a stark contract to the one I picked, was so visible. So then we had to contact the manager again and complain about their employee damaging my new glasses and also how there was a flaw to begin with. They eventually agreed to a free replacement and didn't make me use the warranty. It took another 4 weeks to come in and it only came in that "fast" because we asked the manager about it, who called the company to ask what the issue was. I didn't go back to get them fitted there once they came in and went somewhere else because dealing with Suzie was such an awful experience. Since then, my lenses have chipped but I don't think I'll be doing anything about it because I'm just so over dealing with this eye clinic.

I posted this review on Google, and sharing here as well. Great doctors, horrible management. I'd…read moreleave zero stars if that was possible. In summary, the practice is BADLY managed. It has excellent docs IF and WHEN you can get an appointment to see one. The existing docs are tied up in more financially lucrative surgeries rather than maintaining a balance between surgery and eye exams for patients, despite having four locations in northern Colorado. I read the reviews and the management responds to bad reviews by leaving a note and asking reviewers to call the main phone number, which I am guessing is pretty useless but makes them look responsive to negative reviews. My family of five has been patients of this practice for over 20 years. However, the ability to schedule actual eye appointments in the past two years has gone down to almost zero. I had been seeing Dr. Mayer after my cataract surgery in 2021 and 2022, but last year, I experienced the beginnings of a macular hole in my right eye and could not get an appointment with him within six months. I was referred to a retinal specialist, Dr. Korotkin, who said my macular issue wasn't severe enough (October 2024) and dismissed me when I said I needed a new eyeglass prescription because "he didn't do that", like it was beneath him to spend another minute or two addressing or even empathizing with my concerns. I wasn't able to get an eye appointment with Dr. Mayer until March 2025 (they tried to put me off until May), and he immediately noticed that I actually had a severe macular hole. I then scheduled a visit with Dr. Gange (never going back to Korotkin), who I was able to see within a week, and had eye surgery within a week. Dr. Mayer suggested that I schedule an eye exam with whomever was available, so as I still needed a new pair of eyeglasses, I scheduled an eye exam with Dr. Poznic for August. I got a voicemail on Tuesday June 10th that he was not available that day but there were plenty of appointments the following week. I called later in the afternoon and the earliest I could get in would be October. So despite having 23 doctors on staff, there is not a single doctor who could give an eye exam at any of the four locations before October. I tried to leave voicemail for the person who canceled my appointment, but her voicemail said it might take five days for her to return my call, and directed me to NOT call back and leave multiple voicemails. It's unconscionable to cancel existing appointments and not immediately reschedule, then follow up with the patients who lost their spots. They should be prioritized on a waitlist, but none was available. In short, I have a follow-up for my macular hole repair in July but I will not be returning to the practice for any other services.

Inconsistent, unprofessional, oddly expensive. Since this involves something as important as…read moresight, I highly recommend getting eye exams elsewhere. There are much better options who do not try to cycle through as many patients as possible to generate revenue. In my opinion, their priority is making a buck; not improving your eyesight and eye health

The lady that works at the front desk is extremely nice and accommodating when you have changes to your schedule or questions. Dr. Eland it's especially homework from me for not trying to push too hard towards the glasses/contacts that they sell as opposed to filling prescriptions elsewhere. This is not a thing I would've thought of except for the last optometrist I went to before Berthoud Vision was all about the upsell, and not so much about my actual vision. The office is also newer, and the location is quiet .

The exam I had from an ophthalmologist in Aurora last year doesn't meet the "within six months" requirement; and, since I'm not fond of driving on I-25 (especially in the Denver area), I wanted to find someone closer to home. Long story short: I won't be driving to Aurora anymore. Dr. Pratt and his staff are amazing. Everyone is friendly, courteous, flexible, and professional. Dr. Pratt's "bedside manner" is particularly outstanding. He took time to ask questions; didn't rush the examination; and explained each procedure before starting it. He also gave me an option to "cut [him] off" if I was "bored or not interested." That didn't happen! When he showed me the images of the inside of my eyes and clearly explained the "why" of things, it was FASCINATING.

Negative 200 stars is still too many for this scummy practice…read more We have asked them to lose our phone numbers and our physical address and stop sending all kinds of junk to all of those. I have now asked a total of seven times, and they sent yet another postcard, received today. My last call, I got some tool at the front desk, who had an attitude and no intention to help and who hung up on me at the end of the call.... I definitely was assertive (bc they seem to refuse to leave us alone), but definitely was not rude nor did I use any sort of bad language. My take on this is..... They know are a horrible company and yet they keep doing all the stuff that makes people angry at them. Do yourself a favor and never set a foot in their door.... if you do, you will regret it for a long, long time. I am still not rid of them, and I am considering reporting them to the FCC as well as the attorney general.

I explained why I thought I needed a recheck, but she responded with a horrible, condescending attitude. I was shocked by what she said and how she said it. Ultimately, I had LensCrafters fill my prescription because I wanted a different frame than what was available at the office. Since I was unhappy with the prescription, not the glasses themselves, I decided to return to Dr. Hulme, who performed my initial examination for his thoughts. Nikki, gave me every reason not to return. Her absolutely poor attitude toward me as a customer was completely uncalled for. She argued with me as to why I can't focus or read with my current prescription lenses and told me to go back to LensCrafters if I wasn't happy. After much back and forth, she ended the call by hanging up on me. I will not be returning to Dr. Hulme's practice and will tell anyone I can to do the same. I hope this helps with your decision-making in choosing an eye doctor. I was and am completely disappointed with this practice. I will continue to use another optometrist from now on. It's not a good look to have so many 1 star reviews. Keep that in mind.
