Why I give this place a one star is because the service really felt pushy. I would only buy a new vehicle from this dealership, but not a used vehicle. We told them as much as we would want to pay for the car a month and they never told us about all of the fees that were tacked on after the purchase was complete. Of which the fees were a total of $5,000 when all was said and done thus we owe way more the vehicle would be worth. We also mentioned that their was a stain in the back seat of the honda while test driving the vehicle. They said that they will get the stain out before we pick it up. Yeah they didn't get the stain out! they also failed to mention that the car was used as a rental car prior even when we mentioned the carfax. They also wouldn't work with us when we saw that their was a small dent near the drivers side tire of which was there when we bought it. I use to work at this dealership when it was Menlove dodge toyota and you can see that the customer service has gone down hill quick. I honestly will never purchase a vehicle here again. I took my car in on Friday evening for an oil change, told them I had a leak that look like transmission fluid if they could take a look at that I also asked if they could change my front headlight, I was told the headlight was too difficult to change I needed to take it to the Chevrolet service center. I later change the headlight with my brother very easy job . They told me that they looked at all my fluids and everything was full there was nothing to worry about the next morning I took it to my dads house and I did not have a drop of transmission fluid in my car I believe they check the transmission fluid with the vehicle off , I guess we'll find out what driving 20 miles with no transmission fluid has done to my vehicle when I take it else where Eric was my tech beware if you take your car here they just want to get out of town for the weekend Instead of taking care of my car and changing the difficult headlight ! read more

My car buying experience was actually a pleasant one (September 2015). Hunter was accommodating and stayed very late while we completed all the fine-print stuff. One big reason we chose to buy a brand new van at the Bountiful dealership is because it is only a few miles from our house. We were also told that we get free car washes for life at the dealership which is something that sealed the deal for me. I love having a clean car and looked forward to washing a couple times a week. They gave me the code to the car wash and gave instructions on how to operate everything. Fast forward a few months. We started getting hassled by the salesmen out on the parking lot whenever we came to wash the van. They would tell us we need to drop the van off in the service department, get out of the van (with 4 kids under 8) and wait while they wash our car for us. We just told them that we were given all the information and access to use the car wash. One day, my wife was washing the car and a salesman stopped her before she could exit and asked if she worked there. He was extremely condescending and told her that she didn't belong in there since it was for employees only. She explained the same thing we had explained a half dozen other times. Based on his abrasiveness, I called Hunter to get an explanation about the car wash situation. He apologized for having given us the code because we were, in fact, supposed to drop our car off at the service department so they could wash our car for us. If anyone out there has small children, you know what inconvenience it is to unload and wait in the waiting room. Since then, we have brought our van in maybe 10 times for a wash over 7 months. The first time was painless and actually enjoyable. The kids were happy to watch a show in the waiting room. The man who washed our car brought out big balloons for our kids. We were out of there within 15 minutes - Great! It has been downhill from there... since then, the shortest amount of time we've waited is 20 minutes and has been as long as an hour. I'll bring it in for a wash when I have nothing else to do, but I have since purchased a punch pass at a different car wash down the road. It's much more convenient to keep the kids in the car. Next story: About a month ago, the GPS and Bluetooth were acting up in the van. Luckily, we have the 25,000 mile warranty (I also purchased the extended 75,000 mile warranty). They asked that we drop off the van so they could diagnose the problem on a Saturday at 7:30 AM. It would be a couple hours, so they suggested we not wait around. We got a sitter to stay at the house while my wife and I dropped off the van and headed back home in our sedan. At around 1:00 PM, they called to say they had the entire front dash taken apart. I was told it would be easiest to fix the problem if they could keep the van for the weekend. I asked about a loaner van, but that is "not something Toyota Bountiful offers". We found a way to make it work with our other car. On Monday, we received a call saying that they were going to completely replace the radio/screen, but the new unit would not be in until Friday. They put the bad radio back where it was supposed to go and we picked up our van. On Friday, we took the van back to the dealership and I got a ride on the courtesy shuttle back home. It took about 3 hours before the van was done. Later that day, we discovered that the back speakers were not working despite all our efforts to troubleshoot. We have put off getting them looked at again because we were tired of playing the games. I have another appointment scheduled for the diagnosis which I've been told will be about 3 hours. Again, no courtesy car. I can pay for a rental, but that's up to me. We're crossing our fingers that the problem can be fixed and we don't have to bring it in again for the repair. I've taken enough time off of work for this. I'm stuck for another 85,000 miles, but I will not be purchasing another vehicle from here. Total disappointment. read more

Overall I had a positive experience with this dealer. On a whole I think the new car dealership business model in the US is fundamentally broken with limited profit margins on the actual cars that dealers try to augment with trade-in and extended warranty transactions, but Bountiful Toyota seemed to push this agenda less than most. They still try to get you to buy the car 30 seconds after taking it for a 10 min test drive (boggles my mind that people actually do that), but I was able to get away without having to talk to the "Sales Manager" before leaving. I ran the sales guy through the ringer for several weeks as I got quotes from multiple dealers (I ended up getting a SR Tacoma 4x4 Double Cab), and the salesman was always very helpful and responsive to my requests. Ultimately I bought from this dealer because they had the model/trim I was looking for and were willing price match a dealer much further away, but they ended being very good to work with. Before closing on the deal I had told the salesman that I had no interest in buying any add-ons (extended warranties, service agreements etc.) and that I was not looking forward to meeting with the "Finance Manager". He passed this on to the Finance guy and it facilitated a very quick transaction when we actually bought the car. My only complaints with my car buying experience extend from the car buying process as whole and not with the dealer. It drives me crazy that you can't check out a new car without getting a full court press from the salesman and subsequently his manager before being allowed to leave the dealership. Then once you pull the trigger you have to go through the full court press on buying extended warranties, service agreements, coatings etc. This model will not last, as more millennials enter the new car market, the pressure to move the buying process to an online transaction direct with the manufacture will become overwhelming. read more

I had a bad experience with them a while back due to insanely high repair prices and difficulty getting a quote but my car was having issues the other night and they were the only ones open so I decided to give them another try. Problems encountered: 1, I called ahead (5 minutes out) and asked if they'd be able to look at my vehicle that night, they said yes. I arrived and was told all techs had left an hour and a half earlier. 2, they said they definitely didn't think my vehicle was safe to drive and I should leave it overnight, they'd look at it first thing in the morning (a lady named Michelle stressed "first thing" twice) and call me back. So $100 to look at it and $35 for a rental... 3, the next day no one called me back, I started calling at 1pm and was told the only person who could tell me anything about my car was Michelle but she wasn't there. I then kept calling back every 30 minutes and was repeatedly told no one else could tell me literally ANYTHING about my car but Michelle and she was with another customer. 4, when she finally did call back late in the afternoon she said my car WAS safe to drive but diagnosing the problem was difficult which is why it took longer than "first thing in the morning". Once I got my car back I looked at my dashcam which turns on when my car does and shockingly it showed that they didn't start looking at my car till shortly after I started calling at 1pm. Short version: busy I understand, but repeatedly lying to a customer I do not. I have 2 repairs needed (1 minor) and my wife will soon be needing a new car, guess where I will NOT be going for help with any of those issues? read more

Bought a used 4Runner December 2016, just took my car in for an oil change at a different Toyota dealership and was told I need all 4 brakes replaced/resurfaced along with a few other general maintenance services. I called Toyota bountiful and never received a call back from the service department manager. Even though I bought a used vehicle I would assume that the dealership would take care of routine repairs and maintenance prior to selling the car. It's frustrating to spend $30,000 on a car then turn around less then two months later and fork over another $500 for repairs, none of this is covered by the extended warranty I paid extra for. My sales experience was ok, the salesman was nice. While test driving several cars, there were two instances where we were almost hit by lot attendants driving way too fast considering how much snow was on the ground. Overall I would not recommend this dealership, have not been very happy with the service I have received. Am also very irritated that no one bothered to even call back about my brakes! I'll be using a different dealership for future maintenance. read more

Don't buy from here if you may have credit issues! We both have bad credit so we found a cosigner, made an agreement and drove away happy. 2WEEKS later we were informed our loan had not gone through because the cosigner was out of state. They knew that from the beginning and never mentioned that might be an issue, in fact they told us we had been "approved". Mad about that, but what makes me most upset is that they charged us astronomical mileage and $150 for detailing a car that still smelled of "new car." they also tried to charge a $250 "restocking fee". What??? They took that off because my husband was pretty mad I guess. We paid almost $400 to keep a jeep for 2 weeks when the signed, shook upon agreement was $270 a month! Not to mention we are back at square one with a down payment that took a hit. We never would have entered this agreement had we been informed of any chance this might happen. Thanks a lot folks. I bought my 2013 Toyota Corolla from Toyota Bountiful a year and a half ago, and from the time of purchase, to every time I've been in for a service, I've only had horrible experiences. They are condescending, lack any sort of communication skills, and are constantly making excuses. Specific examples of this mistreatment: 1. When buying my car, I was very explicit that I wanted my loan through a specific bank. After a week and a half of not hearing anything, I decided to call the bank, and they let me know they had no record of any loan request. I stopped by the dealership, and the Finance Manager casually told me the name of a different bank that the loan would be going through, and that it wasn't a big deal. His plan was for me to be informed by receiving a letter from the bank in the mail, without so much as a phone call to let me know of this change. 2. The vehicle was purchased after being leased for almost 3 years, so I decided to take care of the 30,000 mile check up at the same time. After waiting almost 4 hours for the service to be done, my check engine light came on 3 days later. I took it back in only for them to ask, "Is it a Toyota Corolla? Oh yeah, they never brought it over for the check up after it was detailed." Obviously mistakes happen, but for them to know of the mistake and not bother to pick up the phone to call me and resolve the issue is completely unacceptable. (Also, I could have detailed it better myself). 3. The most recent experience happened when I took my car in to get the grill on the front replaced, after it flew off on the freeway. After looking at the car they informed me of the 3 parts I needed, let me know it would be a total of $105 to fix it, and gave me a number to call to order the parts. Later that day I called, and they start asking me very detailed questions about which parts I needed. I read to them what was listed on the sheet they gave me, but they still didn't know which parts to order. I asked them what the point was for me to come in earlier that day if they didn't even list the part numbers on the sheet they gave me. At this point I got a jumbled response of condescending excuses. The man said he would figure out which parts I needed and call me later. When he called, he let me know even though they listed all three parts on my invoice, they only included pricing for one of the three, and it would actually be $300. I let them know how frustrated I was, and that I would not be doing business with them anymore. He said they would try to work with the pricing for me, and call me the next day. It's now been four days, and I have yet to hear from them. read more

I would recommend this dealership for a few reasons. One, Brian Whitney. He is in sales, and is the most comfortable salesman I've ever spoken to. He was not pushy by any means, and he let me ask the questions, and he didn't say anything unnecessary about the vehicle. He didn't talk me into anything and actually suggested I take my time and do what I wanted to do when I said "Not today" the first day I was there. He is the main reason I was confident that I was making my own decision when purchasing my truck. Two, Scott Keeler. He is in the Finance Department, he is the one who deals with all the signatures and all the paperwork. When I only approved for crappy APR rates, he found me the best rate possible. Saved me a ton of money. Not to mention the head of sales, (bald guy can't remember his name), helped make sure I got the most for my trade in. 1,000 more than other dealers offered. Absolutely wonderful experience when I expected to go through hell to purchase a truck at a dealer. read more

I moved here from CA 14 months ago, where i had stopped using dealerships for service. I had recall items to be taken care of when I got here so i chose Toyota Bountiful because it was the closest to me. I was treated so well I continued taking my Tacoma there for anything I needed. They don't try telling you there are repairs you need to have done that you really don't. Their waiting room is awesome. A couple of times i didn't have time to wait so they took me home and picked me up when they were done. Every time I use the service department they also wash my vehicle. When i decided to purchase a Rav4 i contacted the Internet department thru their website and was put in contact with Darrell Teel. My purchase experience was awesome. Absolutely no pressure. He took the time to go thru all the details of the vehicle along with walking me thru all of the programming. Even the Finance department was a pleasure to deal with. Our experience with Bountiful Toyota was Excellent! Our saleswoman Kerrie was amazing. She was very knowledgeable, honest, caring and made our buying our new Tacoma such a great experience. She bent over backwards to find exactly what we wanted and never pressured us to add things we didn't want on our truck. She explained everything she was doing and gave us an accurate out the door price. Our truck was in a neighboring state and she went and picked up the truck herself. When we picked the truck up she spent over an hour explaining all the features on our Tacoma and that meant a lot to us since this truck is very high technology to what we have never had before. The parts manager was Awesome looking up accessories prices and emailing them to us, so when we are ready we can add these accessories to our truck. This dealership is honest and straight forward. No smoke and mirrors. We were relaxed and enjoyed this truck buying experience!! You were all Awesome and we will always recommend you to anyone looking for a Toyota! As much as we love Toyota vehicles, we had a bad experience with this dealership. We had to make 3 separate trips (after purchasing our car) from North Ogden to the dealership to resign paperwork that they had made typos in and try to track down the trade in check they hadn't even mailed a month after our purchase. This was a total headache dealing with Toyota Bountiful. After the horrible experience we had, I never even received any type of sincere apology for all of their errors and gas/time they cost us after our purchase was already made. Not very good service. Not very true to their word. Don't really care about what happens after you buy and leave. Leased a car there about 4 months ago. The people are nice and accommodating while you are there but it seemed like it was all so that you would rate them excellent in their survey. They probably reminded 100 times while I was there how important it was that I gave them an excellent rating on their survey that they would call in after you have purchased a car there. Which I guess is fine but I felt like they were more concerned about getting that across to me then actually providing great service. One of the main problems I had and I STILL am having is that I purchased additional protection service with my vehicle. But as soon as I purchased the vehicle and left they seem to care less whether or not I receive such. I have called in many times just to get the same answer that they will call me back and to the same disappointment nothing happens. It has been extremely difficult to track them down. read more

The worst experience I have ever had buying a car! This is not a dealership you go to, to help you find a car that's right for you. Were they nice? Of course but the entire time they were looking to scam us... I'm not sure if the sales person was shady or if it was a result of poor management. Either way it was horrible! Long story short they lied about how much the list price was on the car, so they sold it to me higher then what they listed it for. When I left, things just didn't seem to add up, so I went online and saw that the list price was much lower. We took it in the next day and they did fix it but who knows if it truly was fair. I normally do a lot of research but my husband and I couldn't agree on a car. We thought we could walk into this dealership and have a professional help us decided. Just bought a brand new 2015 Prius from this dealer, and the finance guy showed me the extended service plan for additional 5 year / 55000 mile service for $1382 plus the manufacture 2year/ 2500 miles for a total of 7 years. However I received the service contract today and found out the expiration date for the "plus" service plan expires in 2019. I got a total rip off, that guy lie in front of my 3 friend, and I called the dealer and no one will help me and ask me to wait and call back. I will never buy from this dealer ever again. read more

Toyota Scion Bountiful has got to be the worst costumer service I have ever experienced! I work for a financial institution and I helped one of our members finance a vehicle purchased through your dealership. Every time I called in I got a complete run around! Weston Bird was the "Finance Manager" that helped my member and apparently he is the HARDEST person in the world to get ahold of, and I got told several different times that he was the only person that could help me but if he's unavailable for 4 days straight how in the hell am I supposed to get anything done? The receptionists weren't much help either, several times I was placed on hold and transferred to someone that had no clue how to help and then they would transfer me to a voice mail that wasn't set up... that's helpful. Finally after getting upset at the receptionist, which was the only way I could actually speak to someone, I talked with a Jason and he was finally able to answer my question. Most car salesmen are assholes but you guys have managed to add shitty customer service to that reputation. Great job! I would not recommend this dealership to my worst enemy read more

I went to Toyota Bountiful to look at and eventually purchase a RAV4. I love the car and the deal was good. My problem was with the promise they made to fix some damaged trim that had been noted at the time of delivery. They wrote up a service ticket , and explained that someone would order the new trim, and call us to set up a time to have the damaged piece replaced. No one ever called. After a dozen of calls and messages left, I finally got a hold of parts and service who told me they needed the vehicle for 8 hrs to paint the trim, not replace it as promised by sales and finance. They then offered me a ride, but only for 20 miles, which would not even get me home or to work. When I asked about a loaner vehicle for the day, I was told no. I should have not taken delivery of the vehicle until the fix was made, but I trusted the sales department. It's not major damage. I just wanted them to honor their promise to make it right! I will not service the vehicle there, as there are other dealers close to home I know I can trust. read more

We have a child with special needs that requires the auto access seat offered in the Sienna. We had been researching these vans for quite some time and were waiting on a raise to purchase the van. We saw that Bountiful had lower tax rates and decided to go to Toyota Bountiful for the lower rate -big mistake. Because we had to special order our van, the salespeople used every trick in the book to take advantage of us, all the while saying that this is how they treat their family. I would hate to be their family. In the beginning we were presented with two offers. One with a higher interest rate, and one with a lower interest rate, but with a bunch of useless packages added on. He said he had to add on those things in order to get the rate down -total lie, this is called "dealer reserve" and buying down the interest rate. We figured we'd rather get something out the deal and not throw money away on interest. We later realized that we had many more options because the interest rate is completely dependent on credit score and is not manipulated by packages or price. We had already signed though and got trapped. After giving them a down payment to order our special needs van they did not give us updates or return our calls at all (we have the phone records to prove it). We repeatedly called to check on the status, but never got a straight answer. At one point they told us the van had been built and would be there the next week. When we called back they realized it was going to a different dealer in Indiana. How do they not know where their inventory is coming from? We had better luck directly calling the fleet manager and even found out that the van was there before the salespeople knew. Their lack of communication with us and each other was appalling. When we sat down to negotiate the final price they refused to budge on anything. The tax rate had gone up since they made the first offer so they gladly put that in. We wanted to make sure that the $1000 manufacture rebate was coming from them and was separate from the $1000 Toyota mobility reimbursement. When we mentioned this he said they were the same thing, which we knew was a complete lie because we had agreed at the initial offer that they weren't. My wife started getting emotional and he repeatedly told her to stop crying -which made us way more upset. We held our ground and he totally blew up, jumped up from his chair, yelled at us, and stormed out the door. After a heated conversation on the phone with his manager, he came back and acted like he had done us a favor by separating the two. From that point on he was very short with us and chided us whenever we asked questions to clarify the contract. The only saving grace from this is that we love our van. It works great for us and has not given us any problems. For this reason, we will always buy Toyota vehicles, but we will NEVER buy from Toyota Bountiful again -which is too bad for them because my in-laws recently purchased a Toyota from a different dealer based on our experience. From our experience: salesperson was useless, financial and insurance manager was the sneakiest person there, and the manager was just a smiling face putting on a facade. read more

We purchased a used van from these guys a little while back and the experience could have definitely been better. The original salesman that helped us test drive the van and such was quite pleasant to deal with and we informed him that we liked the van but there were others we wanted to look at before we made any decisions. Toyota Bountiful must have done a credit pull or something, because shortly after we were getting ready to leave, a high pressure sales manager came down to stop us (we have excellent credit and we were not going to finance). At this point in my head I was thinking, Ha!, I think I got a hook in, I wanted to see where it would all go. The sales manager, quickly brought the price down to where I wanted it, he played a little song and dance about getting the price approved and it being a small chance that it would actually happen (of course it did). Now, it all sounds like things went according to my liking, however, here are the things that made the experience less desirable. My wife was not sure about the van as she wanted an 8 passenger not 7, the salesmen did not promise that the van could convert to an 8 passenger however there was some implied notion that it could during the entire negotiations. I chalk this up to some of my fault as I did not do enough research on this, however, you think people who sell Toyota's would know what the vehicles are capable of doing. At some point in time my wife was told that the key was not chipped, later on we found out it was when we went to make a copy. At another point in time we were told that the automatic doors on that model of van, if they happened to break, would disable the functionality of the doors being opened (could not use the sliding doors anymore until fixed). This was no big deal as the van did not have auto sliding doors and I did not really care. Now, these things are not super horrible, but you can see where there is a little bit of misguided information to get us to buy the van. There is an icing on the cake here I have not mentioned. After we paid for the van and I went to take it home, I got in and the thing stunk, they had just vacuumed or steam cleaned it and it stunk like wet dog. I thought that the smell would come out once the van dried or aired out, but in the end it took the hard work and many attempts of my wife to rid the van of the stink. My wife hated the van up until a couple of weeks ago. Some other items I did not appreciate: During negotiations my wife asked to speak with me in private, the high pressure sales manager quickly told her she did not need to talk to me. I should have smacked him up-side his head, but I suppose we live in a civilized world (hence the 2 star rating instead of 3). I went to email the salesman a few days later about the smell and gripe a little about the van not converting from 7 to 8 passenger, but he seemed not as interested in communicating or helping me out at that point. We purchased a 1993 Ford Explorer from Scott Argyle at Toyota Bountiful July 29, 2013. It was listed on multiple internet sites including the information that stated it was 4WD. It's an old car, we did not expect perfect. However, we trusted the salesman and the dealership to be honest. The 4WD switch was still there and still hooked up. The light came on when the "4WD" was turned on. When we got it home and had work done on it the next day we found out that there was no front end differential, no front drive shaft, and no front axles. When I called, Scott was on vacation so I talked to Jason Long, Scott's "Internet Team Manager". After explaining that the car was NOT as described by them in their advertisements we were basically told "you signed---as is". I was hoping this was a simple mistake, but after talking to them they offered NO options to make it right or even fair. They said they had NO responsibility because of all of their jargon loop holes (and because we TRUSTED them when they said it was 4WD) and we signed the "as is warranty". This was not a matter of it being there and it not working, there is nothing there. (I wouldn't expect to turn a freezer on to make sure an automatic ice dispenser, which was listed on the package, was all actually there...) So they will claim that this is unfortunate etc., my point is they live up to the saying "buyer beware" and don't trust what they say or put in writing. read more

I have bought multiple cars from TB and I have never had a issue with them when it comes to that. Great customers services and the salesmen I have worked with was great. My issue is service department. I was being told that I needed to get a part replaced or I would not pass safety. I did my research and I looked into the issue and found out that the part was fine and did not have to be replaced. A month later I passed safely without any issues. I took it to other shop to see what they would say and to get a quote for work. They told me nothing was wrong with it and it did not need to be replaced either. I would still buy a car from them but they will not be working on my car again. read more

Honestly the worst experience I have EVER had buying a vehicle! Breif summary of the situation; My sister and I were looking to purchase a vehicle for my mother who lives in Idaho. We new exactly what we wanted and how much we were willing to spend. When we got to the dealership a salesman by the name of Mitch helped us. After settling on a price papers needed to be sent to my mother in order to finalize the sell. Mitch and some other guy (not sure what he did) promised they would overnight the papers and we would be able to pick up the vehicle in a few days. Keep in mind we put a $1,000 deposit on the vehicle to lock it down. Mitch said it was fully refundable even if we ended up not wanting the vehicle. After a few days had gone by my mother had still not recived any papers. My sister went into the dealership to check on the status and Mitch had never sent the papers. He came up with ever excuse and straight up lied to my sister. We pushed it to the side and just wanted to buy the vehicle. Finally, my mom receives the papers 4 day later. As she is reviewing everything she notices the price had increased an additional $700 from what we agreed on. The price we agreed on was out the door with all dealerships fees included. We called Mitch and he came up with some ignorant excuse claiming it was some fee. At this point we decided we no longer want to do buisness with this dealership and want the deposit back. We kindly tell Mitch that we are no longer buying the vehicle and need the deposit. He then tells us that he never said it was refundable and he doesn't know if getting the money back is possible. Being in complete shock we call a manager and he pretty much says the same thing but asks if we had anything in writing. Looking back we should have written something but we also didn't think in a million year this would happen. After a back an forth battle we finally spoke to a gentalman that was respectful and had morals. He straighted everything out and gave my mother her full deposit back. Lesson learned is that Mitch and some of the sales forces is extremely unprofessional and I wouldn't trust them any farther than I could walk on water. I will say, the guy that straightened everything out seemed like a good guy but his team needs some major improvements. read more

I've bought two cars here and continue to get them serviced here. They are quick, thorough, conscientious and friendly. In the handful of times I've been here I've always had a great experience. They also call afterwards to make sure I was happy with the service. Plus, free car washes whenever I want them. A great example of what a dealership should be. read more

My wife and I will never forget our experience here ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. we never felt like a priority because we waited for hours for someone to help us, lied to us, when the question of our budget was asked we told them, the vehicles there showed us where closer to our MAX, when we went to sign all these added fees and taxes that took us slightly over budget, it was in the agreement that they will paint the crashes on the vehicle, but it has been a full year to get a " professional car painter schedule to fix it" we called multiple times, we come in as if we worked there and same answer the printer is not available, the person to fix is not available or the boss is not in the office, they will call us, which they never did gets worse... The car hadn't been driving for a year due to the damages on the vehicle, we never knew the car they sold to us has 2 Crack SHREDDER tires inside which Noone can see because there are not facing outside, we were told the car passed inspection which we believe it's a BIG LIE. We should has seen through their LIES but we were so excited to get another vehicle and we will definitely taking advantage of, Why should I buy a car which I can't drive??? Never go to TOYOTA BOUNTIFUL its a joke. read more

Absolutely horrible experience! Can't believe open racism exists in 2015. My and I were in the market for a new Camry. We test drove one we liked enough to continue the process and discuss financing and leasing options. The finance manager sits us down in his office and says "I assume you'll be leasing" my response was "possibly, but depending on the variables financing or purchasing outright would also be considered" his response to this was with a chuckle "no problem we'll go over all the scenarios it's just African American people almost always prefer to lease" (My wife and I are black) my response was an incredulous "excuse me?" He assured me he was not racist and that I shouldn't take offense. I politely asked to speak to his manager and incredibly he responded by telling me that wouldn't be necessary because he knew we wouldn't qualify to buy a new car anyways so we were welcome to leave. I'm more saddened than upset that such ignorance exists in this day and age. read more

I usually never write reviews, but the service here, especially by Kahn at the dealership was so deplorable! He seemed nice enough at first, but rather than talking about the car I wanted to buy, kept talking about his baby on the way, and didn't seem very informative of my questions....that should have been my first worry. Anyways I unfortunately bought a car that didn't have ABS brakes from them, which I found out after leaving (Kahn, of course did not inform me of this) the dealership was nice enough to let me bring back the car the next day and get something else. Yet, my story of problems with this dealership and Kahn does not end... Kahn promised me a spare tire with this car (it did not have one in the trunk and is a used car), and 3 weeks later, I'm still waiting. He won't get back to me and I feel like he is not being honest and is jerking me around. As a healthcare professional, I value honesty and professionalism, and have found the professionalism and honesty of this dealership lacking. I do not plan to ever go back there for future business, and definitely when friends, family, or even patients are looking to buy a new car, I would never recommend this place! read more

I was contacted by this dealership to buy my truck that I had listed on KSL. Shortly after I arrived I realized it was just a hoax to get me to trade it in. I was able to get my bare minimum for the vehicle and and they had a car I was interested in. So, we made the deal. After we made the deal and they cleaned the car up I noticed the entire hood was hail damaged and not mentioned. so i refused to buy it as is. After they offered to split the cost of a new one I reluctantly still purchased the car. After I got it back from the body shop (nothing like buying a car and not driving it for 5 days) I inquired to how to turn on the fog lights and to my surprise the car is not equipped with the correct turn signal switch to turn on the fog lights so the are useless. I recommend everyone check there cars thoroughly and not take anything for granted. this car had 24k miles still under factory warranty so I assumed a lot that I now regret. I'm not the type of person to complain or write a negative review but after our experience at toyota bountiful I feel obligated to do so. I will NEVER buy here again. Me and my wife were new and inexperienced at the car buying process and we felt we were taken advantage of for that. I will share one of many things that frustrated me. After picking the suv we wanted (a used one), we spent a lot of time going back and forth on a number (as you always do at dealership like this) and finally I said " if you replace the tires with new ones, we will buy today and you got a deal". The middleman who we were working with after going back and forth between us and the finance manager came back and said "you got a deal, we will throw the tires in if you buy today". Little did me and my wife know he was throwing the tires in alright but he was also adding 960 dollars to my loan and charged me for them. When we went back to sign papers by then we had been there 3 1/2 hours with a hungry baby and so we signed the papers where they pointed and trusted we were getting the deal we agreed upon. And later after getting home and looking closely over the contract I found they had taken an extra grand out on my loan for tires I could have bought for 600 anywhere else. It's so sad because, me and my wife love our car but we could have bought the same one without dealing with the Shadyness we felt we went through to get it. I tried calling and emailing them about the issue in hopes they would put the tires on for free as we were lead to believe or at least put tires on that were worth a grand rather then the non all terrain Junkers we got and all I got was a picture of my signature asking "is this not your signature and what you signed off on". Again, we won't ever be going back. These guys are why car dealers get a bad wrap. read more

About 8 weeks ago I started the process to have the leaf springs replaced on my Tacoma on a recall notice. I contacted the dealership as directed in the notice. I told the girl that I had modified the suspension with a two inch lift and air bags. I asked her if the recall would still be in affected. She put me on hold to ask the service manager. I was told that it wouldn't effect the recall. I was called in for the inspection. At the time of the inspection I asked again if the modifications would effect the work to be done. I was assured it wouldn't. The parts were ordered. I arrived at the dealership to have the recall work done and was informed that I would have to pay for it because I had modified the suspension. I refused because I found it unethical to try to charge someone for nothing. The airbags occupy the space where the bump stops were riveted in place. If anything the job would be easier as the air bags could be unbolted and removed if more room to work was needed. The bump stops took hours with a grinder to remove. This was my third and last vehicle purchased from this dealership. read more

Had a great experience with Bountiful Toyota. Russ and Jerry took care of me traded in my 2008 Prius and left in my new 2013 Prius V. The whole process took just over two hrs. I was treated honestly and respectfully. Scott in finance was on the ball and the paperwork just happened. When I brought my title in the next day. I had noticed a small pen mark on the back of the front passenger seat. I was escorted over to detailing and the guy came out and removed the spot. Russ was there telling me that if he had to he would replace the seat... It was not necessary but I appreciate the sentiment and drive to provide the very best service. Good experience all around and now I can load four sets of golf clubs in my Prius V and 4 bodies as well. I love my Prius both the old one and now the new one. I am sold on the car and feel like the dealership will give me the same service as my car. read more
