He recently installed a wood stove for me. He said, after cleaning the clogged chimney cap, that my whole chimney pipe was clogged and needed cleaning. There was very, very little that came out in the cleaning. He or his helper broke the lock on the door. I noticed the break after he had left. I told him and he refused to admit it, and tried to gaslight me. I hung up on him. He then texted me and offered to pay for the cheap part, but did not offer to repair it for me. I still haven't been able to get it fixed. The $400- $500 estimate came out to well over $600.
