I have been seeing the therapists at the Watchung facility for a few years, and they are the reason I'm pain free and walking today! Performance Ortho just called me sucking up about a check I sent for payment saying they never received it, it was received and deposited, never ever deal with this facility!!!! This entire facility needs improvement, right hand does not know what the right hand is doing. People need not work from hone take your ass back into the office!!!! I had horrible back pain and put my trust in their process. IT WORKED!! Best PT/OT around. When you walk in you are greeted by the front desk. They are super friendly and professional. I absolutely love coming in and being welcomed by their friendly faces. The wait isn't long to see your providers. And let me say, EVERYONE IN THE BACK is incredible in their own way. They motivate you to put the work in, but make sure you're comfortable. The conversation during your treatment reminds me of meeting up with an old friend. The techs really do care about you healing. Most important to them: Insurance provider and money. Urgent, urgent, urgent notification if you do not have their precise insurance. They do not tell you ahead of time. Super-friendly when "Urgent!" "Urgent!" treatment not for you. My husband went there quite a few years ago. Wonderful at that time. Dr. Frank, Chiropractor, was there. He had been our Chiropractor for years. Wonderful doctor and person. He left. Patient more important than money to him. Not so there now. Disappointing. It had been a great place. Probably still so if you have the correct insurance. I have mixed feeling about Performance Rehab. The front desk staff is awesome. Im not a young person and I always got the feeling its a training ground for kids coming out of school. I been in rehab a few times in my life so I have some experience. I feel like they try to strong arm you into trying BMAC. It is out of pocket, and when I hesitated putting myself in debt for it....I was told, I was not taking their recommendations and there was little they could probably do for me. I told them steroid injections would not work. Their recommendation. ( It didnt.) They were not very pleased when I downgraded my sessions for 3x a week to two. On my last visit something called the MILD procedure was recommended...Since it was not very invasive procedure I asked to be scheduled. Why wasnt it brought up before hmmm. It was recommended I see a neurosurgeon which I did . They dont have one in the area......Please let us know how it goes. After my consult I called and left a message. No one ever responded that was weeks ago. The procedure was never scheduled, Most disingenuous. No bell ringing for me LOL. If minor rehab is what you need great the therapists are sweethearts but I'm sure they would be reprimanded if they didnt smile sweetly daily. read more

I just rang the bell!!! Thanks to the entire Performance Rehabilitation staff for helping me feel better and improve my quality of life. I came to the office with a terrible pain in my lower back in early Dec 2021. It's March 8, 2022 and I feel amazing. After some testing I was diagnosed with an SI joint issue. It was preventing me from getting a good night's sleep and overall affecting my quality of life. I can now sleep soundly and change sleeping positions without pain. The front desk, physicians, technicians and everyone in between are amazing, friendly, and supportive. It's like Cheers, where everybody knows your name.....and they really do! I hope I don't miss too many people but I have to give a special shout out to Dr Mendelblatt, Alanna, Mike, Maricel, Hardh, Joel, Austin, Victor, Kiera, Jada, Shanice, Helen, Kathleen, Linda and everyone at the Watchung Performance Rehab facility!!! It is an u believable place!!! State of the art equipment, doctors are all amazing and have great bedside manners. The clinical director is especially wonderful directing you to your proper care and treatment! Hope your not in any pain but if you are this is the place to get fixed!!!! read more

I had a major car accident and caused spine damages. I went to this office for no surgical treatment recommend by my spine Dr. I had bad experience at drs offices many times and I was not expecting much , but first time appointment, my husband I were so impressed how they take their time to explain everything. All the employees are very nice and friendly as well. Before my dr saw me, I had an assistant guy came in the room, asking about my accident, my symptoms every details. Then , My dr came , explained my MRI results, why I am having these symptoms, how it's affecting my spines, how I should treat, handle the pain etc, my dr answered Every single questions I had. I was very pleased and I still am . I am so grateful that i met Dr Mejia. I would recommend him to anyone who seek for no surgical treatment for back, spine problems. read more
