Todd Wilkowski and Mike Beecher are simply the most superior physical therapists one can find in Connecticut. I know this because my top knee surgeon at HSS told me as much and, in addition, I have worked with their whole team for the past four months 2-3x per week (over 40 sessions!). The top surgeons frequently interface with them to track about one's progress and they are in constant communication. Independently, the back door chatter I always hear on their precision and performance metrics is extremely good. As an aside, Todd and Mike also have past experience is in A-caliber nationwide organizations. They are very familiar with how their care can add value versus other approaches. Pros: - Superior scientific/ literature based knowledge that translates into top 1% care each visit - Incredible 25+ experience which has led to a very focused fast pace program that pushes the body at all the right times - Incredibly nice support staff that who really take their careers seriously - There has never been a question asked that doesn't come back in a convincing / complete fashion - I have never been stronger and I owe all my confidence and recovery to this team - They work really hard to fit to your schedule and take true ownership of your progress - Very caring and attentive to patient needs. Perfect "touch" service in all instances of care. - 6 out of 5 stars if I could give it Cons: - Nothing. read more

I went to performance optimal health for PT a total of seven times and immediately after I said that was enough I got a series of charges on my credit card totally over $2500. They had not previously disclosed the extraordinary cost (the therapist juggles multiple clients at one time and they bill each client $360/hr) or the fact that insurance would cover none of this expense - zero dollars. Their billing practices are borderline criminal. read more

Physical therapy just doesn't get any better! They have an incredible, and unusual, overall approach to treatment. Madde is a great therapist and all PT aides are knowledgeable and personable. This is now the only place for me. read more

I graduated today! Pain-free due to outstanding care from Maddy, Mike and Lucas. Maddy did a thorough evaluation at the start, and knew just what to do. At-home exercises were gradual, doable and available on a handy app. Everyone at Performance - from reception to providers - is top notch! read more

I go to them for Schroth therapy for scoliosis. It's excellent. Staff could not be nicer, more professional or accommodating. They are extremely knowledgeable about my condition and have educated me along the way. read more

I recently attended a Wellness Open House at Performance Physical Therapy in Greenwich. The Sleep and Rest topic interested me greatly. Two renowned professionals, Dr. Gelb and Dr. Fitz, led the discussion with a Q and A segment. Detailed handouts were supplied and I came away with valuable knowledge that I can use in my own life. Besides this, we were given a tour of the facility which was beautiful and spacious. Also, explanations of the various therapies offered at Greenwich were offered in detail. Also met with many of the highly experienced and friendly staff. I have had some physical therapy at another location of Performance and highly recommend a visit here to guide your recovery read more

I've been to many PT places as a result of multiple knee surgeries and the people at Performance have stood out to me as being incredibly professional and knowledgeable. PT can be extremely redundant and boring but kevin Cota works hard to keep patients engaged and working hard. Every workout has been tailored to my specific needs and the atmosphere always lifts my spirits. Bravo to Performance PT for helping this former Olympian come back to form. read more

They employ enablers of domestic violence and will create a chart that damns you. I had a semi-decent practitioner but they changed her to one who shouldn't have a license to heal after me giving them good business for more than a year. He gave me bad advice; didn't tell me how to do the exercises correctly--aids often corrected him. When I reported the problem managment actually made the problem worse. They have a nice facility but it's absolutely not recommended. read more

This place rocks! Or as they say in Chinese 这个地方非常棒！Truly, Kevin, Mike, and Roberto are fantastic. I'll say up front that they weren't able to fix me perfectly, but... they did work tirelessly over many months to find a solution (dry needling) that does indeed reduce my symptoms tremendously. I honestly think the best part of the treatment is their amazingly fun, funny, and upbeat personalities. Laughter indeed is the best medicine and I got many doses of it there, joking back and forth with them all the time, which was crucial during the months when I felt like I'd never improve at all. Honestly, I always looked forward to going there because I knew I'd laugh and feel great afterwards. Best therapy ever--mental therapy that is haha! Warning: if you go in November you may be forced to suffer the Movember mustache sported by Mike. Be prepared. :D In any case, I'd recommend this place highly. I also note that I don't have insurance and the team worked with me graciously to help ensure I received the treatment I needed without fear of going into debt. Will I go back again? Absolutely. In fact, I return every few months for more dry needling because it's the only treatment that provides any relief and very few places offer it. I'm grateful to Kevin and Mike for bringing that relief to me when no doctors could. Hey Kevin: I'm wearing the ink stained pants just for you. Francis: Have fun teaching! Glad I inspired you! Mike: 自行车！ (Zih Shing Chuh). Yes, that means bicycle. Here's a new one: 下次见！ (shyah tsuh Jyen) (See you soon). Thanks for all the help guys. And yes, I'm still furious with Taylor Swift. If I ever see her, I'm gonna have some words with her! read more

I don't have a basis to evaluate properly on the treatment aspect of this business as I never got that far. Unfortunately, I was told that they accept my insurance and after spending much time with them providing my details and going through effort of driving out to them, i find out that they are out of network for United Health Care which means that it would be hundreds of dollars of expenses for me to use this establishment for physical therapy. I feel it's their prerogative to not accept any insurance they chose, but they should be much clearer about it so as to not waste the time of their customers. They did offer a reduced rate to me but that would amount to hundreds of dollars out of pocket which is the sad reality of medical insurance these days. I'm dissatisfied with the way this establishment conducted themselves as i clearly asked the right question and was told incorrect information. Place seems like a factory of multiple locations and insurance being handled from a central office somewhere outside of the local establishment and questions around accountability when a place becomes a business of multiple establishments. I mentioned to the insurance handler that they can expect negative feedback from me based on my experience and she was fine with it and hence my accurate post describing my experience. I would never use them again. read more

I must admit that I normally do not take the time to write a review however, I had such a great experience at Performance Physical Therapy in Cos Cob that I had to!!! I have been to several different PT places in the area between my children and myself and the quality, care and most of all knowledge that I received at Performance could not even compare!!! On my first visit Michael took over an hour evaluating my pain and explained what was the cause of it and how we would go about fixing it. He did not speak in terms that I would not understand, was very patient and made sure I knew exactly what he was talking about. The weeks that followed were just as good. Scheduling was not an issue at all as they have hours to fit anyone's needs and I was sent emails with exercise videos to help me do my at home work. I would and have recommended Performance Physical Therapy to everyone! Thanks for a wonderful experience! read more
