I contacted this dentist because my initial research pointed to their "compassionate" manner. I was disappointed by some of the answers to my questions, so I recognize it was not an easy call for her - but it was her use of the word "honey", and it's accompanied tone of voice, that lost my business. I am finding every option to leave reviews so the dental practice management can address this. Had this not occurred, I would have made an appointment after grumbling a little about redoing x-rays and other administrative items - and I have at least $5-$10k of dental work that needs to be performed, along with my husband's dental care. I had X-rays done here with no protective collar--I didn't even know I was supposed to have one until I looked it up online. That's unacceptable and unsafe. If they're cutting corners on basic protection, imagine what else they're skipping behind the scenes. I was highly disappointed in the services I received from this dentist. They advertise themselves like some high-end office, but it's nothing more than a money trap. They don't actually take discount insurance--you have to pay in full and "hope" they bill it correctly later. Once they've got your money, good luck seeing it again. The staff even complained about insurance and discount plans right in front of me, basically blaming patients for not being able to afford their inflated prices. $2,100 for one crown, $282 for a cleaning, $350 for two small fillings--outrageous. And no in-house financing, either. I came in with a chipped tooth and asked if they could fill it for now since I couldn't afford a crown. The dentist refused, calling it "unethical." What's really unethical is refusing to help someone in pain unless they pay top dollar. The whole experience was miserable. The X-rays were rushed and painful, one of the instruments smelled awful (which made me question their sanitation), and the assistant acted like she couldn't care less. I've also had a bad experience here before with a wisdom tooth extraction--it was terrible compared to Dr. Burns, who actually knows what he's doing. This place hides behind a fancy building and inflated prices while draining patients dry. If you value your safety, money, and basic respect, avoid this office at all cost.

I needed a crown reaffixed, Dr Prill told me I needed a new one. At the time I didn't know that she…read morewas motivated by greed and not customer care. So without a second opinion I agreed to a new crown. Her dental assistant talked me into a mouthguard which was ineffective for its purpose. Moreover, it caused damage to my existing dental work. The mouthguard was made of hard ridged material which is not recommended for people who have restorative dental work aka crowns and fillings. The pressure causes the bonding and cement to weaken and crack. Hence, I lost a crown and a filling. Dr. Prill refused to take responsibility for the damage caused by her inappropriate night guard, nor would she replace the night guard which did not fulfill its intended purpose. I am now facing thousands of dollars more of dental work discomfort, and time consuming appointments. When it comes to dental ethics, there is a term called malfeasance. This is when a doctor does more harm than good. I intend to file a complaint with the FLORIDA board of Dentistry. Here are some complaints made be other patients of Dr. Prill's. Care quality - A crown broke after only having it for 5 months. They refuse to stand by their work…read more Another crown has decay under it after only 3 years. I have crowns that were placed in my mouth 20 years ago and they are still good. This dentist office is a chain and they do not care if their work fails. After spending thousands of $'s in their office, I have changed dentist offices for all of my family. I can't spend $2000 or $3000 out of pocket every couple of months or years because my dental insurance won't pay for repeat bad care that often. They will only replace a crown every 7 years. The office staff was very rude to me and I have asked them to give me my dental records multiple times and they always say, "We will email them to you," then they don't. They will play around with your mouth and tell you work needs to be done that doesn't. They gave my husband a huge treatment plan that doesn't need to be done according to another dentist. Don't trust them.
