If you have an upcoming event or you're just unmotivated at the gym, you need to sign up for P4L. Let me tell you I've tried it all. I've been a loyal member at Barry's, Rumble, and other fitness programs in San Francisco and though production value has always been above average, I never saw real results. I gained a lot of weight during covid. I spent a lot of time at home with little to no movement and ate a lot for 3 years and the weight crept up on me. I did 10 seasons with custom fitness--it was good, but I needed more frequency with a price that made sense. Perform for life offers daily small group classes where the instructors pay close attention to your form + 1 private session w a designated PT once a week (shoutout to Steven--he's the best!!). All the small group instructors are super personable. Love Jeremy, Sarah, Chris. Everyone here is just cool--from the clients to the instructors, it's a solid community. I've lost 16% body fat and 7lbs since coming here for 2 months. I haven't changed my diet, but really just implemented p4l into my daily routine. It's amazing seeing results while staying motivated. Highly recommend!! read more

Hands down, this is the best gym in San Francisco. I've been a member since 2019 and I see no reason why I would ever go anywhere else. Unlimited classes come with your personal training membership, so there's a ton of variety. The quality of the fitness coaches is unparalleled (Jon, Jacob, Sara - I'm looking at you). I guarantee this is not a gym where the trainers will let you have bad form, and that prevents injuries my friends. My fiancee and I are currently doing personal training to get ready for wedding pics, and we're both seeing great results. Check out P4L for excellent fitness training and a fantastic community. read more

I used Perform For Life for about 6 months with the goal of getting my body wedding ready! After a few grueling years of grad school and then the pandemic, I had put in minimal time into taking care of myself, and was very self conscious about my body. I hated gyms because I was overwhelmed by all of the equipment. I'd finally decided to make an investment in myself but was shopping around to find a place that didn't give me anxiety. From my first consultation phone call with Justine Sharifi, I felt so at ease. She was so kind and relatable. I did my initial assessment and subsequently my very first training session with Coach Dan and at no point did I feel awkward -- rather I felt very comfortable and I knew I'd found a home for my fitness journey. I was paired up with Coach Sara for the next 6 months and I could not have been happier. Sara is so talented at her job -- meaning she is professional, encouraging, and has extensive knowledge of the way the body works & how to curate a fitness plan that will challenge (but not overwhelm) you, and pace it so that you can build upon your progress to reach your ultimate goals. I always felt like Sara was fully committed to me during our sessions together. She accommodated my crazy, unpredictable schedule, and was never on her phone or distracted. She paid attention to every rep and would even take notes so that she could update our game plan. On top of being an awesome coach, Sara is a lovely human being -- on days where the wedding planning stress hit hard and I shed a few tears, she showed me a great deal of kindness and I could tell that she is just a genuine person overall. She's definitely someone I felt lucky to have in my corner! Other coaches that I never trained with have also always been extremely friendly and approachable here -- there is an authentic family dynamic as well as true talent at Perform For Life -- you can't go wrong! :) Thank you so much, Sara and P4L!!!! read more

Where do I start, this P4L gym is amazing! I've been to this location a few times and would rate my experience 5 stars each visit. Clean bathrooms, sanitized equipment, and new weights! Awesome energy and knowledgable trainers ~ they are extremely eager to help and will take time to teach you fundamentals if you've never seen the exercise before. They take time to listen and understand what you are striving for ~ WILL help you meet and exceed your goals, while having fun! The classes are the right amount of intensity for everyone, and you'll love the workout supersets. I'll be back again, next time I choose the music! THANK YOU COACH DAN! read more

Perform For Life SF - BIRD DOG ROWS! STABILITY, CORE, BACK WORK! All the fun :) - Trainers Near Me - San Francisco, California

I joined the P4L family about a year ago, when social distancing was in full effect. The gym is extremely clean, well maintained and spacious, so I felt more than comfortable joining. After an intake assessment, I was paired with Jacob. Jacob is not only knowledge about health, fitness, and nutrition but is also clearly passionate about helping those around him achieve their goals and work towards becoming a better version of themselves. Like others in SF, I've been working from home, so I see Jacob twice a week in the middle of the day. Besides helping me shed some COVID lbs, P4L has also helped me keep my sanity by breaking up my day and allowing me to spend time with an encouraging, fun, and supportive community. Additionally, because of our shared interests, I enjoy alllllll the conversations that I have with Jacob, which has the additional benefit of helping me rally through some of the more challenging routines. In short, I would recommend PFL to anyone- of all levels- who is interested in leveling up their health. read more

Was a member of P4L for almost a year and worked with incredible coaches, most notably Coach Jon. Jon was meticulous in crafting my workouts. He is very data oriented and a walking encyclopedia on how to maximize the performance of workouts and diet. Never did it feel like a chore. If you're looking to improve your overall fitness and not quite sure where to start, I highly recommend Jon. read more

I came to P4L for the run lab (Run/gait analysis and VO2 max testing). They have two locations in San Francisco- one in Mission and another at Gough. I went to the one in Gough using Uber because I don't want to look for parking at a busy street, there's plenty of metered parking along the street. As soon as I walked in inside the gym, I was greeted immediately by their staffs. Very nice people!! I met Trevor - (whom I had appointment that day) very pleasant and always had a smile on his face! He definitely made me feel more welcome in their gym. They have two very clean and organize bathroom with showers - so you can shower after a sweaty workout!! (Not all gym have showers, so this is a plus!!) They also have lockers to keep your personal belongings while you work out. I had an amazing experience with Trevor and his team. They were very knowledgeable and gave me so much information to help improve my running. They were very helpful. I learned so much about what I need to work on with my fitness and gait imbalances. I was given corrective exercises to help me improve. Overall a positive and eye opening experience. I wish I had known about them sooner! They also offer 1:1 coaching and strength training. I would definitely need to go back for this. Do I recommend coming here? Absolutely!! Specially if you're a runner like me!! Ask for Trevor! He's amazing! read more

The folks at P4L are THE BEST. I am not exaggerating. They've cultivated an incredible roster of passionate trainers and motion specialists--truly their culture just can't be beat. From their 1:1 sessions to group classes, the workouts are thoughtful, challenging, and damn fun. You won't go back. I had my first intro phone call with Justine half a year ago, and absolutely no regrets since! Coach Jon has made a huge impact on my fitness journey. He listens to what I'm looking for and creates a game plan, always checking in and seeing if we need to reset goals. Super knowledgable, attentive, and encouraging! I cannot recommend him enough. If you're looking for personal training in SF, they are the people to go to. read more

P4L is great! I've been coming here for nearly 3 years now and due to social distancing, I started taking online personal training with Coach Jacob in the lockdown recently transitioned into going into the gym for those sessions and for other classes! After reopening, the classes have been better than before with programs that are followed for the entire month so you can build on what you have learned and make more progress! Coach Jacob is great, he is very understanding, knowledgeable and goal oriented! I'm hesitant to say more good things about him because I'm scared he will become too busy to train me! read more

Even during a pandemic, Randy continues to work hard, making sure his clients get what they need to stay sane during this crazy tough time. Randy listens, trains clients respectfully by conducting virtual workouts using at home equipment. His creativity has brought sweat and smiles. For me, Randy meets me at Kezar. We begin with warmups in the bleachers. He stands a few rows up and shouts orders (like a coach!). I then go on the track and try to hit the times that he has carefully planned by studying my aerobic and anaerobic zones. We leave the track together with workout bands, disinfectant wipes and a feeling of accomplishment. Randy himself has been an inspiration. He continues to challenge himself with time trials and we all came out to support him at his finish line. Beyond Randy, perform for life posts updates for a safe reopening, respecting city guidelines. When I couldn't find weights to buy, Brandon stepped in to lend me a few until the gym reopens. I am thankful for perform for life for keeping the endorphins alive in me during a dark time. read more

P4L is such a great gym, the staff is super polite, friendly and knowledgeable. The equipment is clean and new, the gym floor is clean to throughout the day. I came to this gym feeling intimidating to be trained being a trainer myself, but Melissa Yu made that go away and quickly identified what I needed to work on she gave a detailed program for goals and also a big plus is that she is also a Bodyworker so after our training sessions Melissa stretches me like if I were a professional athlete hitting every muscle group there is. I love when she uses the suction cups and Thera gun on me. I also love to box and she is a great Mitt Master because she trains with on of the best in the sport Jairo Escobar's Look at his IG he's good and she learns from him. Thanks Melissa for helping me reach my goals and more. Thanks P4L for creating a nice community you guys feel like family. read more

After over 20 years of chronic pain, 24/7 pain that made both sleep and work hard, I am thrilled to say I am now pain free most of the time! While I cannot attribute all of this to Jacob Albritton, he deserves the lion's share of the credit. When I began working with Perform For Life, the founder Bryant did an involved initial exploratory where we dug into all of my pain areas, misalignments, muscle weaknesses, and goals. He and Jacob then developed a terrific plan for me. Within a month I noticed a reduction in pain, and now, several months of once-a-week training later, I am significantly stronger, toned, and my core is more balanced and stable. I am SO thrilled with my body, strength to throw my 4-year-old around, and lack of pain. I'm sleeping better, have more energy, and, may I mention again, SO MUCH LESS PAIN. As a side note, we've been doing virtual sessions since shelter-in-place mandate began, and Jacob crushes these sessions. I don't know how he manages to kick my ass so hard each week given that I'm in my living room with very limited equipment, but he manages it beautifully. I cannot recommend PFL more highly, both the gorgeous gym or in the comfort of your own home. read more

This gym has been nothing short of wonderful. The past two months under Zach's care have been hugely impactful, with in person training, personalized workouts, and nutrition assistance. P4L has exceeded my expectations! I did their bootcamp to prep for my wedding and it gave me the results I wanted - that extra push and discipline to build strength and power. I was intimidated going into it, but Melissa is a welcoming and efficient trainer. Each class was customized so it never got boring. We also gradually increased intensity over each week. My biggest results were seen at the mid-point (2 wks in). I feel better than I ever have and could not have made this progress on my own. In my view it all comes down to the person who is training us and Melissa is very talented. Highly recommend P4L. read more

P4L is everything I was looking for, and I'm so glad to be a member there. I hate most gyms in this city, but most importantly, I hate the quality of personal trainers in SF. When I came to P4L, I wasn't looking for a class to or a gym; I was looking for a personal trainer. If you're looking for one, P4L IS THE PLACE if you're into superior quality service, and coaching. I promise you, it's not just words, and you'll know what I mean from the second your first assessment begins. So, I was lucky to have been paired with Anthony, and he has been my trainer for the last few months. We work out nearly three (3) times a week, and it's been phenomenal. I genuinely love working out with him. I'm rusty and totally out of shape, and half of the time want to find excuses why I should not do this or that. Anthony always finds a way to get me back into it and motivates me to push even harder. And I'm so grateful for that. Thank you, Anthony! Again, if you're looking for small studio that offers top quality classes with some badass pros, please come here, and give it a try! It's worth your investment. read more

I joined P4L two months ago and I saw the results very quickly. The workouts are constantly changing, never the same workout. The coaches are great, very experienced and make the classes fun. I take semi private classes with Randy and he is awesome, always ready with weights and equipment before the start of class, on point (focused on each person during class and how we are moving) and really motivates you. He knows when to push you to go faster or add more weight. Also, he always runs the session with a smile on his face, which makes the class more fun and easy going! I do HIIT classes with Melissa and she is great. Very focused (always wary of how you are doing a movement and how to improve), tailors the workout to your needs. Becca is awesome with her bubbly personality, makes the workout so much better with her attitude even though the conditioning class is not easy. Highly recommend this gym and the coaches! read more

I have been going to P4L for many years attending their small group classes. These classes have been the major part of my fitness regime. I really enjoy them especially because of the first rate instructors. However, I decided to elevate my fitness goals and start weekly 1:1 training with Jacob Albritton this past February. It's been an absolute success and as they say the "the proof is in the pudding" ... I have lost over 15 pounds and have also increased my muscle mass, and lowered my % body fat to name just a few successes. This is all due to the personal programs that Jacob has crafted for me. His attention to details is second to none which has helped make these results a reality. Jacob also focuses on the importance of diet, sleep and emotional well being. I'm excited to see all the progress that is yet to come. Thank you, Jacob and the entire P4L family! read more

I joined this gym a few months ago and going there is clearly one of the best parts of my day, almost every day. I have been working out twice a week with Coach Jon for 4 months now. He is demanding, meticulous and careful at the same time, very professional and really nice. Jon is very helpful not only for movement and training but also for nutrition, sleep and overall quality of life. It is a complete mind and body workout. I have had very satisfying results after 4 months of practice with him and the perform for life team. The gym is very nice and the facilities are excellent. It is not too crowded and the emphasis is on individual training. Group classes are usually 3-5 people and are a very effective workout. read more

I've never worked with a personal trainer before I started at P4L a few months ago. If you are on the fence - it's completely worth it to have someone, helping you reach your goals, keeping you accountable, and answering all your questions! Melissa is my trainer and she's getting me in shape by building strength and confidence! She has different workouts every time to work different muscle groups I didn't know I had! She answers all my questions and every session I learn something new. I went from never working out, lower back pain, and lacking the motivation to exercise - to now having lost weight, significantly stronger, feeling great, and my clothes fit me so much better - I even had to go down a pant size! In addition to personal training, there are semi-private classes, and group classes too! I look forward to my next workout because all the coaches and members at P4L are great- and I highly recommend Melissa if you are looking for a Personal Trainer! read more

I would highly recommend this place. I enjoy training with Jacob. He's professional, patient, friendly, and always encouraging. He's very good at helping me find my own workout pace. Our experience was wonderful! My boyfriend and I visited for a run analysis and VO2 Test. Trevor and Pita were patient with our questions and very thorough with everything. They genuinely care about their athletes and want to provide purpose and determination to all. They also offer programs such as training and nutrition where they can work with your schedule. Location Perform 4 Life is located in Hayes Valley 61 Gough Street. It's walking distance from Civic Center Bart Station and right on the corner of Market Street. Plus, there's a bunch of great places to eat and grab coffee nearby for after, since you'll probably be pretty hungry with all the running and testing! If you plan to drive, there's a few garages in Hayes Valley and street parking isn't so bad either. When we walked in, we were greeted immediately by their staff. They have lockers to store your things and two bathrooms. The gym itself is clean and spacious. We started off with an InBody Scan. The results from this scan help you understand where your fat, muscle and body levels are at and act as a guide to help achieve your goals. They also provide a Result Sheet which breaks down your weight, total water weight, muscle weight and total body fat. The Running Analysis They stuck green dots in certain places of our bodies so they can really see how our mechanics were working. Trevor asked what our goal marathon pace is and put us on a treadmill and we were off! They use their iPad to take slow motion videos from all angles. Using these videos, we were able to see how we were landing on our feet and our form which was fun to watch. VO2 Max Testing They strapped on a mask, a heart rate monitor and it was time to work! They put the treadmill on a 15% incline and we walked first then slowly picked up our pace until we couldn't run any longer. It sounds brutal, but when you have an amazing staff and your boyfriend cheering you on, it's great. The staff made sure we were breathing okay and as comfortable as can be. Once the test is over, we reviewed the data. It provided us with information like where our heart rate should be when doing recovery runs, our max heart rate, etc. Overall, we had a great experience. I encourage all runners to check this place out. Their staff is full of knowledge and they are very passionate about helping athletes feel stronger and confident as a runner! read more

This is the place to go if you want to get serious about getting in shape and achieving your fitness goals. While the membership costs can get pricey, think of all the benefits by having an regular intense exercise routine. Get stronger, be more balanced, and finally overcome those chronic knee/ankle injuries. The gym's got a great group of trainers like Melissa, Trevor, and Chloe, and believe me, they won't let you slack off. Prepare to sweat, be sore, and have fun. Everyone is super friendly, knowledgeable, and focused. This is a gym where work gets done and you will see progress if you commit. I've tried out a bunch of gyms in SF, and if you can afford it, this is the place to go. Excellent trainers, a great community, and only the best equipment. If you prefer a less busy gym, try the 7pm classes (though this gym never gets too packed). The Hayes Valley location is a bit newer and bigger but only the bathroom on the right has a hairdryer. And if you're still unsure, just check out their instagram. read more

I'm so grateful to P4L. I've been training at both locations (Mission since January and Hayes since opening). I can't say enough good things about this team or my coach Melissa Yu. If you've been on the fence, make the commitment and love every step of the way with this team. Specifically for the new Hayes Valley location: it is beautiful, well equipped and a fantastic space to workout. The lighting in particular is great for morning sessions. There's a bunch of new gear like the turf + sled that make a nice addition to classes. Semi-private training classes feel very similar to 1:1 training and are an amazing deal for those trying to find a balance between affordability and quality workouts. read more

Perform For Life SF - Before and after shot from my training with P4L. 6 months of 1:1 training with Coach Yu, small group classes and semi-private training. - Trainers Near Me - San Francisco, California

I've jointed P4L almost two and a half years ago. Before adding classes to my weekly routine I've been trained with coach Jacob. These are just some of the results of working 1:1 with Jacob in the last couple of years: I lost fat and built muscles , I got stronger and gained more confidence . A byproduct of my gains is improving my sense of humor:) I became more educated about nutrition and fitness. P4L is a professional place. The coaches are knowledgeable, something that is not a given when it comes to trainers in the industry. Coach Jacob - with whom I've been working 1:1 and in a class setting- is the best trainer I've ever had: he is passionate about his profession, knowledgeable and uses critical thinking, he is detailed oriented and adapts the program to the needs and goals. P4L is a small yet efficient space that doesn't intimidate but welcome people like me who has been serious about health and lifestyle. It is clean, well kept and friendly environment. I am fortunate to have P4L in my life. read more

I've been to P4L for about 8 months and definitely was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I was training by myself for a while but wanted a little push to continue with my fitness journey. I was assigned to coach Tony and I'm very happy with him. I train 2 sessions per week. He's been pushing me to achieve my goals, every 6 weeks he changes my program to keep things interesting and challenging. He definitely knows how much your body can accomplish, pushing me to the next level. He's also an expert when it comes to stretching and recovery. Overall I my strength and physical condition have increased. I definitely recommend coach Tony and all P4L team. read more

I've been going to Perform For Life for a few months now and can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I've made. It all started with a desire to change my physique and get into the best shape of my life. I emailed many personal trainers in SF and P4L literally contacted me the same day. My initial assessment was with Coach Brandon. He patiently and thoughtfully answered all my questions about their services and explained how P4L could be a good fit. He related to my desires to get fit while remaining active with activities I enjoy such as snowboarding, climbing, and volleyball. After some initial scheduling hiccups (totally my fault - they were extremely accommodating to my schedule) I was set up with Coach Randy and honestly I am very happy with him. We meet twice a week and he works me harder than I've ever worked before. He tests my limits but in a safe and controlled way where I don't get injured. I have a unique situation where I have a shoulder tear requiring surgery but he's customized my workout regiment around that. He's also assigned me "homework", recommended nutritional supplements, and gone above and beyond the call of duty in helping me achieve my fitness goals. Due to the progress I've been making, I decided to postpone my surgery in order to keep up the strengthening and work for dem gainzz. Every session consists of a workout plan that he adjusts on the fly depending on how my body feels that day. He focuses a lot on fundamentals to get my form and body prepped for the more difficult exercises. He's always fully engaged during the session, spotting me when I lift heavy. He even whips out the massage gun to loosen my muscles if they're sore. I always enjoy our conversations and he seems to genuinely care about me not just as a client but as a person. I've been to both the Gough Street and Market Street facilities. Both are nice - full gym, shower, toiletries - but the Gough one is slightly larger. Location is pretty convenient, central in SF next to Muni, bus, Ford GoBike stations. The other trainers seem pretty knowledgeable and hold a variety of degrees and certifications among them. They often have team building activities based around athletics so the company definitely practices what they preach. Bryant and Justine (the owners) both went out of their way to introduce themselves to me when they were in the gym, and other trainers I've met say hi when I see them. Overall it seems like a friendly community. Of course, nothing is perfect. Sessions are very expensive, so I've had to sacrifice in other areas to afford them. My credit card was charged once for a package I didn't sign up for, but they quickly reversed the charge after I brought it up. The gym gets quite busy depending on your appointment time but everyone's respectful about sharing space. I have also been taking chiropractic sessions at their affiliate clinic, Ascent Sports Chiropractic. Shoutout to Dr. Krystal, who's extremely knowledgeable and friendly! She also lifts with some of the P4L trainers and it definitely shows with the strength and precision she applies when performing manipulations. I used to do chiropractic sessions in college and feel like going back to them has helped a lot. Would highly recommend her services as well. Overall, very happy to be a part of the P4L family and would encourage others to check it out as well! read more

This was a modern, new facility. We did a workout with kettlebells, weights, other various tools, apparatuses..it was a nice 1 hour workout with Julian. One other person was working out too, but I had no interaction with them. I actually got lost trying to find the spot on Gough towards Market. I think the workout was fine because I liked the facility and it went smoothly. It wasn't too hard at all. I would try it again, but I wonder if the workout would be the same. Did this through ClassPass. read more

What a great experience! As soon as I walked in I was immediately greeted by Coach Pita and told to make myself at home. The gym was very clean with very professional and personable staff. Prior to the appointment they have you fill out some information and it was clear Coach Pita had read it all before my arrival. After chatting for a few minutes we did the InBody scale to look at body fat. From there a foot analysis to determine the proper shoe fitting for your particular feet. After that we did some very helpful PT type exercises to determine different strengths and weakness of the lower body. I found this extremely helpful as they also provided corrective exercises and stretches to help strength those areas. Next came the gait analysis. They put green dots all over you and then have you run on the treadmill at goal race pace while videoing you running. The green dots help them (and you see) your running form. After doing this we watched all the videos to look at overall form and they made some suggestions as to how to improve the form to make you a more efficient runner. Finally came the VO2 max test. They put you back on the treadmill with the mask and heart rate monitor on. The treadmill is at an incline and they start you off slowly and gradually increasing the speed. It is fully up to you as to when the test stops and as soon as I hopped off the treadmill Pita was immediately there to remove the mask. After cooling down to determine your recovery period we looked at all the charts from the test. Finally Coach Pita showed a couple of exercises to focus on to help strength some of my weaker areas. Overall this was an awesome experience. You walk away with a lot of information, pictures and videos! read more

I came into P4L with a similar story to many - chronic knee pain, "runner's knees". I'm your typical active person in their 20's - love to ski, run, play sports on the weekends. All these are taken out of the picture with bad knees. Some questions I came to my 1st consultation with: 1. Is my joint pain due to getting old? 2. Will I ever be able to run again? Can knees really be improved? 3. Can I stay active in the long-term and keep doing the things I love? P4L hooked me up with Randy for 1:1 coaching, who specializes in running & gait analysis. while many of his clients are elite runners who compete and want run analysis to increase speed, I'm just trying to be able to run for fun & general fitness. Regardless, Randy has been amazing at helping me get there. In just a few weeks, I've already learned SO much from him. He takes the time to assess exactly what my individual issues/strengths/weaknesses are, and has a plan of action for every session to get me where I want to be! He is encouraging, professional, patient, positive, and a wealth of knowledge when it comes to strength training. Best of all, Randy has given me hope that the answers to the above questions are "yes". read more

Absolutely LOVE this gym and all of the coaches. I had the pleasure of working with Coach Sara for my 1:1 sessions with a goal to use the off-season to get stronger and improve my stability in order to be prepped to be injury free and a stronger runner/cyclist for the season. I cannot recommend this gym or Sara more highly - I laughed, was encouraged, and most importantly listened to and taught how to properly execute movements safely & effectively. New Review for their NEW location - so excited to support P4L. When they opened their first gym my hubby and I thought we would be supportive and come to a couple of their classes in the beginning. Let me also say that I am a gym rat/triathlete. I swim/bike/run and lift regularly. What started out as being a supportive friend, quickly turned into an addiction. We found ourselves going 2-3 days a week since the beginning, doubling up my workouts on those days just so I can squeeze a P4L class in! Within the first month I felt stronger, faster and more flexible. I have also been trying to drop a couple LBS to get to my "race weight" and P4L seems to be the extra boost I needed. Do yourself a favor, drop in for one class, see what it is all about, fall in love, and be a forever member. Bryant & Justine you guys are doing amazing things! read more

I honestly can't say enough about how well cared for I am by Perform for Life. They have truly changed my life in the best best ways. Recently, I started working with sports chiropractor, Dr. Krystal Drwencke who will be located at this Gough location. I am like...."Dr. Krystal...where have you been all my life!" She is like Yoda, Gandolph and Maz Kanata rolled into one. (hi-five to those who know who the latter is without googling it! heh heh.) I have had lower back pain since I was a child and I've never felt this kind of relief or comfort about what's going on. The fact that P4L has brought Dr. Krystal into the team...well, just once again solidifies why I continue to LOVE Perform for Life. For all the years I've struggled with fitness...Perform for Life is my fitness home where I feel welcome, cared for, challenged, energized and where I get amazing results. It's so great that P4L opened up their 2nd gym! I had a great experience in their mission/Castro location and really enjoyed the training there. The new location is super fun too with new equipment that can meet everybody's fitness needs. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming and they really have a special way of mashing you feel like you are part of the community. Great trainers that are always learning the newest/latest fitness trends makes the gym unique and real. I have loved the personal and shared training and highly recommend you check them out! I can't even begin to describe how amazing the team at P4L is, and I can't recommend them highly enough! I've been getting personal training from Trevor Short for the past 4 months, and I've also attended some of the semi-private group classes with Chloe, Austin, Taylor, and Charles. First a little background: I had no prior experience with any other personal trainers, but I've always had trouble committing to the gym, mostly because I wasn't sure if I was working out safely and in the most efficient way possible. As soon as I walked in to Perform For Life, all of those concerns went away. Even at the fitness/health evaluation, everyone I spoke with was so knowledgeable; they really do mean it when they say all their trainers are certified and specialists, and for me, Trevor was the best possible choice to get me into a healthy lifestyle. From day one, Trevor was able to help me pinpoint what were my weak points to focus on before I tried to jump right in to a crazy workout routine. Right away, he decided to work on improving my form and stability, two areas I definitely needed to improve. He's been amazing at pushing me to give 100% at each training session! He also didn't set any unrealistic expectations and oversell anything, and he's been also helping me keep up with additional cardio and strength workouts at home when I can't come in to the gym. Sure there's perks to the gym as well, such as the amazing facilities and equipment, but the real stars of the show are all of the coaches and staff there, who really try to make sure you get the most out of your time at P4L! read more
