I tried several salons locally and was disappointed--until I found Zapians. From the moment I walked in, Norman, the owner, and his staff made me feel comfortable and welcomed. Norman took his time, truly listened, and was refreshingly honest. He clearly understood both what I was looking for in a salon and the cut and care my hair needed. The result was exactly what I had been hoping for. Beyond his talent, Norman is one of the kindest and most professional hairdressers--and business owners--I've met since moving here. That combination is rare. I will absolutely be recommending Zapians to everyone I know.

They said to avoid a fee it had to be 48 hours before appointment. Doctor offices will take a 24 hour cancellation, I think this is outrageous. I can understand that cancellations will affect your whole day but things do come up before a 48 hour lead time

My daughter goes to school in town and instead of traveling home to see our hairdresser. I…read morerecommend that she find one closer since she will be there for a while. I am writing this regarding my daughter's recent color service. She requested lighter blonde pieces to frame her face; however, the result was noticeably orange and brassy. When she contacted Courtney to discuss a correction, she was informed that her previously colored hair prevented the desired lighter blonde outcome. While we understand that prior color can affect results, her primary request at that point was simply to have the tone adjusted to reduce the brassiness. Given my own extensive experience with blonde color services over the years, I have never had it turn that color. We were also disappointed to learn that she was offered a corrective appointment at an additional charge to address an issue that resulted from the initial service. I would have hoped that they would stand behind their mistake and make things right. However, that was not the case.

And her knowledge of what blond hair should look like doesn't exist. I showed her a picture of my blond hair on top, on highlights and rest of long hair and I got the brown root color and what looks like low lights of faded blonde nd and not the bright blond. A terrible job was done.

It keeps me from buying something over the counter that may not work and then I'm stuck with it. I book three to six appointments out in advance and sometimes the full year. The result is a flat, dull, mousy brown with none of the brightness or dimension I wanted. When I told him I was unhappy, he was dismissive and rude. He insisted his judgment was right, told me the lighter blonde made me look "washed out," and said I was "too old" to be blonde? The attitude was very much his way or the highway. His opinion seemed to matter more than what I, the paying client, actually wanted. I found the interaction condescending, egotistical, and unprofessional. I was so upset by both the result and the way I was treated that I cried all the way home.
