Can't give less than one star, or I would! They told me my teeth required a treatment to avoid enamel loss and that my insurance would cover 85%. Turns out the "required" treatment is considered experimental and therefore my insurance covered 0%! Received an unexpected bill of $1300 with no payment options. Misinformation/deceptive business practices. The S. 8th Street office overcharged me for a procedure in Sept. 2024, but didn't advise me of this until a regular cleaning scheduled six months later, when I received a partial credit. I scheduled another procedure and asked for the cost of that and was given a printout with the cost. I was told what the final bill would be after the office applied the remaining balance to my account. When that second procedure was completed two weeks later, I was advised that I was given an old cost sheet from 2023 and prices had increased since then. I said that the office gave me inaccurate information on the cost and therefore should not literally make the patient pay for that mistake. Office manager and dentist replied that only "corporate" could change billing. I received a bill a few weeks later, called the 8th Street office and was advised that they could not provide me with contact information from "Corporate," only Anna the office manager had that information and she could not share it(?) I discovered that "Corporate" is Sonrava Health. I sent Anna an email to her office at the staff's recommendation so that she could forward it to "Corporate." Haven't heard anything from this Perfect Teeth office, but am receiving voice mails from a company (that are difficult to understand other than that they are Perfect Teeth.) I tried calling that company back at an 800 number, the recording said it is "Western Dental," re: debt collection! The woman at the counter could not Evan manage a smile upon arrival and informed me I was noted for initial visit instead of what I had asked the appointment for an emergency visit to put a crown back on. After asking if I had any other kind of insurance than the one I had she said there would be a copay without telling me the amount. The amount was insignificant when I asked but it felt like I had entered a pawn shop instead of a dentist office and there was no way no how I would trust the only tooth I was given to these people. Has I know I was going to Pefect Teeth I would have not even bothered given their poor track record of many years. I had 3 dental implants done by Pefect Teeth & was fairly satisfied. Each implants was approximately $5,500.00. My primary dentist was Dr. Guerra on Unitah. She was thorough as well as her hygienists. Since this address has closed, I was transferred to their Union office. On a few occasions either they called to cancel my appointment less than an hour before my visit or were closed when I arrived. I was then transferred to their Powers office & this had closed shortly after I started seeing the hygienists there. I then went to their 8th street office & since that time, my cleanings have lasted approximately 20 minutes. My teeth don't feel clean afterwards & the dentist who supervised the hygienists continually wanted to add more procedures than what I thought were necessary. I've gotten to the point that I don't trust what the dentist tells me & my appointments seem to be getting shorter & shorter. I have finally decided I had enough with this company. They have dishonest billing practices. They said our insurance was paying a certain amount and then gave us our portion to pay, before they received the insurance payment. Insurance went on to pay their amount and also told us what our portion was to be after the dentist made the adjustment to the contracted price. The dentist office did not make the adjustment to the contracted price and sent us an additional bill for several hundred dollars. This was an on going practice for many, many visits for both my husband and I . We did not realize what they were doing until, they made us pay 1120.00 for our portion of a crown. The insurance company paid their portion and told us ours was the same amount, which totaled together did not equal what they made us pay. They made us pay, collected from the insurance company and said we still owed them money. Evidently it is a standard practice for them to not give the patients the adjustment from the insurance. You need to be very diligent in what you pay them and what the insurance company pays them and make sure you get the contracted price. They are crooks and do not recommend anyone doing business with them. I have all the paper work proving how they overcharged us. I think this may qualify as insurance fraud and am going to follow this up with a complaint to the Dental board. I sent all this information to my insurance company who investigated and sent a letter to Perfect Teeth telling them not only did I not owe them anything more but they owed my several hundred dollars they overcharged us. There response was to sent me another bill for over 800.00. I would hate for anyone else to be cheated like we were, though I think that is just the way they do business. You should ask for an itemized copy of all the billing and compare that to what your insurance says. read more

My issue with perfect teeth did not start until Covid shut down the Colorado Springs, 8th street location. I have been and still currently a patient for 10+ years. I HAVE N E V E R!!! Ever had any issues! Till 8th street closed down. I was then forced to go to academy and union location...THATS when the problems started!!! This has to be thee most unprofessional place of business I have ever seen! Chairs are covered in some kind of pet hair, good luck finding a decent chair to sit in. The staff is extremely rude. I was in the middle of speaking to a representative-face to face. She RUDELY blew me off to "check in other patients." Then proceeded to answer a call. To avoid me, when another receptionist was sitting adjacent on her cellphone. I am seriously afraid of this location as some of the people whom are employed there are ghetto! I do not feel safe!! knowing these people are handling my health teeth mouth and financial at this establishment? Here's the best part! When we had no alternative but to be transferred here, my child was in the middle of treatment for orthodontics/braces. I started receiving unexplained bills for $156.00 here, $90.00 there. I called COUNTLESS times to have someone please explain this to me. To NO AVAIL! You're better off winning the powerball jackpot, then to have some one actually answer a phone at this academy and union location! Mind you, I was initially set up on automatic payment deductions every month so there is never a need to send me bills for my child's braces. I was and currently am in a battle with this location as my child's treatment has been completed. I had to escalate this payment with my dental insurance. I'm the most easiest person in the world! I by no means want to file a lawsuit, But this place is a rip off. They double bill and double charge. Upon deep investigation there are numerous "E.O.B" and the bills they were sending me, I provided them with the account number POSTED ON MY STATEMENTS: account number never matched to my child's dental account. They made an attempt to cover it up by explaining orthodontics and general dentist have different accounts. It's insurance fraud and my dental insurance is currently doing an in-depth investigation on billing coding payments and claims. This could have all been avoided had 8th street remained open. As of today I am pleased to report, I am an exclusive patron of perfect Teeth on 8th street. PLEASE 8th street!! Don't EVER close. BEST PLACE in town. After my initial new patient appt here I had two cleanings scheduled. Showed up for the first one (a Wednesday at 11am) and literally no one was there. Door locked, lights out. No one called me to say they'd be closed or to reschedule-so wild. Then I had an appt scheduled to get my wisdom teeth out at the Union location-I show up and a guy takes me back to the room and asks what I'm there for. I was shocked lol, you'd hope people would know if they're gonna perform a surgery on you. Turns out no one there was actually certified to perform the surgery and had to recommend me to another dentist office that actually had an oral surgeon. And to top it off, the room they brought me to was pretty gross for a dentist and things were just open and in disarray. All around, not the business to go to. read more

My wife and daughter verified that they took our insurance and made appointments for a teeth cleaning and examination after a couple years of no dental attention due to covid. When they showed up on time for the appointment they were told the office did not have time to clean their teeth. They took x-rays but they were blurry and my wife had to hold the x-ray machine to her mouth because it would not stay in position. My daughter's mouth was cut up by the film roughly placed. Both my daughter and my wife were told they each had one cavity. They went to another dentist to have their teeth cleaned and re-examined. The x-rays from perfect teeth were useless so they had to get new x-rays. The second dentist could find no cavities at all! About 6 months later we get billed for the perfect teeth visit. The bill was over $300 per person and not itemized. Obviously they didn't bill the insurance company. We are never going back there! read more

I had 3 appointments last year with them. For the first they didn't see me until an hour after my appointment time, for the second it was 45 minutes after my appointment time, for the third it was 30 to 40 minutes. For all three appointments I paid what they said was not covered by insurance at the time of service. For my third appointment I got a few fillings, during the process I was choked with water and was in pain and the pain was so bad after my fillings I missed 2 days of work. I was scheduled for a fourth appointment that I cancelled after this experience. In December I received a bill, and because I paid at time of service I wasn't sure why so I tried to call. I called and got the contact center, who cannot access billing information to answer my questions. So I called the office about 10 more times to try and reach them with no answer. I tried a few more days after that with no answer. Yesterday I received notice that my bill is past due, but I do not want to pay without explanation so I tried again. I customer service line reached out to them for me a few time and then sent an email. They said if I didn't hear back by 2 to try again. At 2:20 I called again, with the same attempt and response from customer service. They sent another email and I verified the direct line. After that from 2:40 to 4:45 pm I called the office over 50 times and still have received no answer for my calls or call back from what customer service has sent. I would have preferred to discuss this all with them, but they are impossible to reach. I'd suggest you chose another location or a different dentist altogether if you value your time and would like a dentist you are able to reach if you have questions or need help. I'm going to keep trying to contact them, but will be switching dentists because of their disrespect of my time, the pain I was in, and their inability to be reached. read more

This is my first time there and the staff was in a HURRAY. Most of my time wasted with the staff figuring out my insurance information since Its under an active duty military. The South 8th street office put me on hold for the longest time then they hang up. The union & academy office who answered the phone was unprofessional. Communication is of utmost importance if you plan on having a business that is successful. This establishment has absolutely none of that. They just changed staff again in the last 6 months since my wife and I were there for a cleaning. Then we arrive after being told our "out of pocket expense" for this cleaning was going to total over $500.00 verses the $79.00 for my wife and I, per person. They seem to prey on cash paying individuals, since we don't carry dental insurance. We both had had full dental x-rays within one year. Although there is no law requiring X-rays for patients seeking a dental cleaning, a state regulation requires a dentist to conduct an oral exam before a cleaning. The exam must occur at least once every 13 months, and professional standards of dentistry include X-rays as part of the exam. In other words, they wasted our time and theirs with an inability to communicate properly in advance. I would never recommend this establishment for your dental needs. Please check someplace else. So I had dentures done a couple ago here they did great job to begin with. I chipped 1 of my front teeth so I made an appointment for today took the day off work to get it done dropped them off at 8 am and get a call at noon that the lab that was going to fix it there drivers car broke down so they couldn't fix them today so I asked them if the lab was here in town? They said yes it is! So I will not do business here again because any business would have had courier come get them but they never offered that or run them there themselves I could see if it was in Denver or something therefore I think there customer service is not up to par. When I first moved to the city I came here in a dental emergency and then my annual and they were super attentive and friendly! The cleaning itself took about 45 minutes and was super detailed and I left feeling super awesome! I went in for my next cleaning around 8 months later and I was literally in and out within 20 minutes! Sounds like there's been a lot of staffing changes and I'm not sure if it's under new management but I will not return to perfect teeth! This office used to be good but the hygienist left and then the Dentist. On my last visit, ever, Dr. Lee recommended a deep cleaning because of "the horrible condition my teeth were in". Ever feel like you were being robbed? I did, so I got a second opinion. Turns out the only problem I have is the horrible filling they had done two years ago. By the way, I had gone in twice previously asking for that problem to be fixed and was assured nothing was wrong. I went to Perfect Teeth for wisdom tooth extraction on a Friday. The procedure itself went ok, although I was unable to use sedation because I drank a water 4 hours prior while at the gym, I wasn't happy about this but decided to just do local anesthetic and get it over with. The procedure itself went as well as expected and I was sent on my way. The following Monday I was in an unbearable amount of pain, the narcotic that I was prescribed wasn't helping and I knew something was wrong. I called and scheduled an appointment for the following day. While at my follow-up appointment I was told "Everything is fine, we had to cut the muscle so this is normal, the third day is your peak of pain, take your narcotic and you will be fine..." This was all from the surgeon assistant, I didn't see or speak to Dr. Peterson at all. I thought it was odd but I didn't push it. So I went home and told myself to stop being a wimp. After another day I was in so much pain that it was difficult to do anything. I began researching and found that it was NOT normal to be in such pain. I went to an emergency dentist on Thursday (6 days after my extraction, 3 days of extreme pain) where I was treated for dry socket... Hours after being treated my pain was gone! The emergency dentist said that I probably had the dry socket the entire time. While there I mentioned the "muscle was cut" comment and the dentist was very confused, as this isn't something that is normally done. He inspected and found that the muscle was, in fact, fine and uncut. This emergency dental office was very frustrated at my situation with Perfect Teeth. The assistant even called Perfect Teeth to let them know what was going on and how poorly I was treated (or not treated.) I will not be visiting this office again. read more

Dr. Fuhs and his staff are just the greatest! I had terrible tooth pain and they were able to get me in 45 minutes after I called which is almost unheard of. It turned out I needed a root canal and he did the procedure in record time (I've had several in the past) and it was almost totally pain free! His assistants and office staff were so professional, yet kind and thoughtful.....as was Dr. Fuhs! I've never felt so comfortable in a dental office before and was very impressed with how clean the entire office was, from the reception to the exam rooms. Horrible service, I do not recommend this place. I was billed twice for a procedure I got done, let alone the procedure failed & lots of money wasted. the lady who helped me was Dawn I guess she was the manager and she was very unprofessional she had no idea what she was talking about. I don't know the dress code there but her and the other girls up front dress like they are going clubbing. Tight revealing clothing and cleavage showing. The office was filthy I don't think it ever gets cleaned. Unfortunately my insurance is crap so I have to go to perfect teeth, its one of the lower end places.
