I've been here several times now and everyone has always been so nice and friendly. I've never run into any trouble having to schedule/reschedule my appointments. There's little to no wait time once you arrive and they inform you of what they'll be doing. I came from another dental place nearby where I was really unhappy on their service. Wife went in for a consultation because she wanted veneers. After everything, they told her that she doesnt need veneers but they can refer her to someone in NM that would do it for her cosmetically. She was billed over $70 to just be told they won't do it which is my reason for the low rating. The only reason I added a second star was for their honesty about her not needing them but even then she made it clear it was for cosmetic purposes from the beginning. I recently had a root canal back in August 2024 with Dr. Tran, and he and his staff were amazing. They understand people are scared to get root canals so they make sure you are extremely relaxed throughout the whole process. I think they mainly focus on these types of procedures so they are doing root canals all day. I had a crown made by my current dentist who used a temporary cement. Dr. Tran was able to remove it and perform the root canal. They put the crown back on with temporary cement. I followed the procedures (no eating for xx amount of hours and took the prescribed medication). Went back to my dentist the next day for the permanent crown, and everything has been great so far. Honestly, it wasn't too bad. Obviously, I never want to come back here, lol, but if I had to get a root canal again, I would come here. They also accepted both my insurances so I didn't have to pay anything out of pocket. read more

I was a patient here with a dentist I am not sure is still employed with Powers Dental Group. His name was Dr. Tasik (I am not sure I spelt that right). However, when I was a patient, I had been scheduled two separate times to come in for a routine cavity removal. Both times, my nerves became extremely inflamed and I had to have root canals afterwards (this was after a week of extreme pain both times - 2 weeks in total). Not only was I charged for the cavity removal, but I was then forced to go to an endodontist and was charged for the root canal and the cap for my teeth. I could have understood if this happened one time, however, this happened BOTH times I went to this dental office. One of the times I went to the endodontist for a root canal, the doctor had even commented that Dr. Tasik should have never attempted to remove a cavity that close to my nerves. It was extremely painful and expensive, and I cannot help but to feel as if this was part of some bigger scam to take money from patients. I would not recommend that anyone receive dental care from this location. read more

I do have extreme anxiety when it comes to dentist already and I told everyone there this. Their equipment/X-rays are completely out dated and the hygienist was beyond unfriendly. I was looking for a new dentist after a couple of poor/shady experiences at my last one. I'm thankful to find Powers Dental Group. Super friendly crew here, from the front desk folks to hygienists and doctors. Comfortable waiting area. Always been able to get my next appointment scheduled by the time I walk out. Only thing that is a ding on PDG is they have waaay too many appointment notifications. I always get a slew of calls, texts and emails leading up to my appointment. BEWARE!!!!!! there was dried blood on the suction in the operating room. DISGUSTING and completely not OSHA compliant in any way. Appointment was rushed and it seemed like the employees were too busy gossiping to pay attention to me. My crown hurt for months and then cracked in half less than a year later. Very poor quality and terrible workmanship. I went to a different dentist to have it fixed and checked out, I was told they left a bunch of decay under my fillings as well. This outfit writes "service" you don't need just to make money. I went in for a cleaning. I brush twice daily, floss every morning and after meals too. My gums don't bleed or anything and they said I needed a deep cleaning to the tune of $857. There like auto care centers writing service you don't need. read more

I absolutely love Dr Elmer and his staff. They have so much patience and show so much care when dealing with my forever needing work teeth!!! Long story short, I went in for a crown but once he got all the cavity out, there was not enough tooth left to finish. He had to pull my tooth :( I could tell he genuinely felt bad it didn't go as planned. Well a few days later, i was still experiencing extreme pain. He looked at my xrays that were transferred from another office and found another tooth was so infected it also needed pulled. It has been 5 days since my teeth were pulled and I no longer have pain. The staff was so helpful with all the questions I have/had. I appreciate that so much! I can not recommend this office enough! read more

They helped me by getting me in to identify the infection in my route quickly. But there after things fell apart. I asked for a doctors note due to the extreme pain. The dentist said no he would not write a doctor doctors note. I asked for a copy of my medical record and the visit notes to provide to my management. They made a copy of the note and wrote in big letters across the whole note patient cleared for work. They did everything they could to not help me in my pain. In my book that does not make for a quality dentist. I explained that I work in the emergency room of the biggest hospital in the state and that people that come in with dental issues to get doctors notes. They then told me to go to the emergency room and get a doctors note from them. read more

Although the staff is very friendly overall, I would not recommend them for service. In August of 2021 I went in for a routine cleaning/checkup. They told me one of my crowns was cracked and recommended that I get it replaced. Since I knew I was only going to have insurance for a short time longer, I opted to have it done. This one was fine. They then recommended a second replacement. I went ahead and had that one done. I have had nothing but problems ever since. It didn't sit well when the assistant put it on and tried to floss. But, she said it would be fine. I went on a two-week trip shortly thereafter and was in horrible pain for most of the trip. I came back and asked to have them check it. They charged me $185 for the follow up for their screw up and told me everything was fine. If I continued to have pain, I would likely need a root canal. Mind you, I had zero problems prior to this replacement. It is now nearly May 2022 and I continually go through periods of excruciating pain and have no insurance and no longer live in Colorado Springs. I can usually tone it down again with some rigorous daily rinsing with the generic version of the brown mouthwash. I should not have to be doing this and I should not have listened to them about the replacement. AND I should have insisted on a replacement crown. My mistake. Don't make a mistake and go to them for ANYTHING! Oh, and I forgot that the person taking my initial x-rays said my mouth was too small and that's why I was having problems with them. I'm several decades old and have never had anyone blame their poor job on my mouth. read more

I had to drop my rating of PDG by one star due to my temporary crown falling out within 24 hours of application! Ugh! Not cool. There aren't many things more unpleasant than a gaping hole in your mouth, especially when it occurs barely a day after it was fixed. To be fair, it WAS a temporary crown, not meant to stay in forever. That said, I was disappointed. For the record, they recommend Chap-stick to reapply the temp crown and hold it in place. Sticky enough to do the job and safe enough to put in your mouth. You learn something new every day, right? read more

I was a patient of Dr Crysler for 8 long years. The only reason why I'm not anymore is due to my move to Florida. Even thought I'm not very proud to say that I had lots of dental work done during that time, I feel it gives me lot more reasons to praise Dr Crysler and the whole stuff of PDG. First of all non of the stuff members ever made me feel bad about my poor dental health and they only cared about making it all better. Dr Crysler literally changed my smile. He is very professional and very much perfectionist in what he does. If he was not happy with for example a crown that was sent from the lab, he would make them redo it. He not only understands that dental care is expensive, he works with you and lets you know what your options are. He truly takes pride in what he does. Procedures were always explained to me and if there was a problem, it was fixed right away. If I had bigger things done, I would get a next day call from the office asking if everything was OK. Lady bellow me mentioned the temp crown falling out. Yes it had happened to me before as well. They put as little compound as possible to keep the temp crown in. You are advised to be very careful and not bite on that side till the regular crown is in. I believe I bit into something and that's why my temp fell out....BUT when it does happen, you can pretty much walk in to the office and have it reattached, of course with no cost to you. I could never say a bad word about this place, will always recommend Dr Crysler and the wonderful stuff of PDG. read more

I was a patient at Powers Dental for the better portion of my childhood and early adult life. I received all my dental care (which included an obscene number of fillings), orthodontia and even wisdom teeth removal through PDG. My husband and I moved to another state less than a year ago and after a very painful emergency cracked molar, I learned today that the dentists at PDG did some incredibly shotty work on my fillings, even filling between teeth to the point of me being unable to floss. As luck would have it, they messed up this broken molar so terribly and did not even remove the original cavity, so now I am scheduling surgery to extract one molar and praying my new dentist can save the one next to it so I don't need implants at the OLD AGE OF 27!! Further, my husband went to PDG for a basic cleaning prior to leaving the state and was conned into a root canal and crown that still causes him pain a year later. Our new dentist's diagnosis? Yet another less-than-acceptable job by Powers Dental Group leaving him with a serious infection that now requires ANOTHER root canal!! You better believe I am filing a report with the BBB as well. For the amount of money PDG received for our dental care over the years, I expected so much better. read more

The whole staff is caring and committed to making your experience as pleasant as possible. We have since PCS'd to our next duty station, and leaving this practice was what we were most sad about. I wish I'd read other reviews before coming here. 1. My first appt, I was told to come in early to fill out paperwork, then was kept waiting an additional 30 minutes before being seen. When I asked about the delay, I was told we schedule in a 1/2 hr for paperwork. Why did I come in early then? 2. I specifically requested an appointment with the hygienist who cleaned my teeth for my husband. They gave him someone else with no explanation. 3. They performed services not covered on my insurance, even AFTER I explained I could not afford any additional charges. When I inquired, I was rudely told it was my responsibility to know if a procedure was covered or not and I was still responsible for the bill. I found out later, another family member had the same billing problem with unauthorized procedures with no resolution. I will gladly take my family's dental business somewhere else and let everyone know how shoddy this practice is. read more

I got all four wisdom teeth extracted here in the end of August. While I found the actual dental work up to par (healed fine, not too much pain during procedure), I found the before and after care quite terrible. The procedure wasn't even explained to me. It was scheduled and any questions I had were as far as any details went. There were no aftercare instructions explained aside from the VERY brief written instructions. The dental assistant was not empathetic to my nervousness and was rather cold instead of warm and assuring. I really needed the extractions done fairly quickly or I would have went somewhere else. read more
