If you are looking for a dance school teaching classical ballet, look no further. Likewise, if you are interested in tap dance, jazz, and hip hop classes, they are also offered here. The instructors are classically trained and the owner, who is an instructor herself, has even taught students who are now professional ballerinas. I have a 5 year old daughter and I was looking for a school that had a good balance of technique and fun. Other studios that I had looked into were too strict, others were too casual. Perfect pointe is just right. The studio has 2 rooms with big windows so that parents can take a peak at the action without disrupting the class. The waiting area is also quite comfy with a couple couches, coffee maker, and a play area for the siblings who are dragged along. The price is very reasonable and the payment process is very easy and online. We are also connected on the glassboard app making it easy to stay up to date of any changes in the schedule or upcoming events. I'm a huge fan and I am so glad that I found a dance school that my daughter loves, that I love, and where we will watch her grow. *Yelp 100 Challenge: Review 78/100*

My daughter Sofia started at the end of March 2018. She has a lot of energy and she started with Angelina Ballerina. She loves her ballet teacher Ms. Michelle. Such a sweet person! I love to see my daughter so happy and I really appreciate how respect and discipline matters at her school. She participated in her first recital a few weeks back and has been asking to go back on stage ever since. We are trying jazz now too. She has a lot to learn of course, but she is so happy with her new class. She loves her jazz teacher as well. She's a lot of fun. Ms. Katherine keeps them laughing. Parents are so friendly. Overall it is a great place for our babies to learn dance and appreciate it.

By far the best dance studio around!! We just had our 4th recital and it was amazing!!! The teachers are amazing and passionate!! They keep our girls/boys on pointe ;) and excited! My daughter has been in dance since she was 3yrs old and now almost 7 and loves it! Mrs Belle is seriously amazing and cares so much about all of her students and teachers!! This is not just a place to teach our kids to dance.. It's a place where our kids also learn structure and respect and share that same passion of doing what they love! I as a parent appreciate that and couldn't be happier! To see your child happy makes you happy!

I have been here for over two years now Mrs Belle is a great teacher and very patient with the class! There are different grades and classes that you can take. My daughter is 6 and loves to go to class. Recitals are awesome too!!! This studio also has a very well organized staff she also does nice incentives for the girls to get them more motivated to learn and get there techniques on point. The girls adore her as a teacher and look up to her. We have never had any issues with the studio or any of the other teachers, she has plenty of other teachers working. I'm so pleased with this studio and recommend it as well to everyone.

Overall, it's an uncomfortable environment where the owners are always yelling/arguing with each other right in front of the parents/kids. I also find it unacceptable the constant yelling that occurs between the owners towards the other teachers. My "1" star rating is based on the following: 1) Unprofessional behavior (yelling/arguing) between the owners. 2) Dirty Bathrooms with no paper towels. Cloth towels are provided, but the same towel is used daily by everyone. Surfaces are never disinfected such as benches, doorknobs, and handrails. 3) Chaos in every recital. Constant changes are rarely communicated. 4) Love the recital but tired of seeing the owner (Geoff) in every other number. I come to see the kids perform, not a 60-year-old man performing with teenage girls. 5) Covid-19 Epidemic: As all the schools, universities, gyms, bars, movie theaters and restaurants closed, owners choose to keep dance studio open putting our kid's safety at risk. When the city placed restrictions, the owner stated they were staying open and simply setting their own guidelines (not adhering to the CDC guidelines) to keep students safe. When the entire state shuts down, how can Dancemaker be the only exception?

One of the most valuable skills developed is to overcome stage fright. Ms Lulu encourages students to do self-introductions, modelling/cat-walk, sing, dance, and build overall stage presence. This may sound simple but can actually be quite challenging. Being able to confidently acquire this skill takes a dash of grit and more importantly - the opportunities to practice! Ms Lulu works hard to consistently create these opportunities for students in a wide variety of settings! From one-on-one voice lessons, to formal recitals, to community venues, to municipal events, to modelling at fashion shows, to filming music videos, to singing national anthems and performances at crowded sports stadiums, to highly advertised music events in crowded college campuses. Our daughter even got to experience singing in professional grade music recording studios! The value of these experiences in building a child's confidence is absolutely incredible! If your child is considering playing an instrument, sing, dance, or doing any sort of performing arts - This IS hands down the BEST studio! I highly recommend giving them a chance to help nurture and showcase your child's talents!

You can tell they love what they do and are good at doing it. With that being said, it is sad that there is -NO consistency- when it comes to the teacher's scheduling. I had my daughter enrolled and she loved it so much and had so fun, but her teacher was supposed to be Ms. Brianna and literally it was sub after sub after sub every week! I swear my daughter only had Ms. Brianna present 3 classes out of the 2.5 months my daughter was enrolled. I was super sad as Ms. Brianna really knows how to control a class give our kiddos the structure and focus they need. One time even the business owner's minor daughter had to teach the class due to scheduling issues with the teacher. Really? I just don't understand how this place is ran. The business owner just hopes and prays the teacher shows up? The business owner is never here. It's only ever a teacher and unknowing, yet trusting parents and their kiddos, which in hindsight now makes me uneasy. Another sub that showed up to teach my daughter's class seemed new and didn't know what the heck she was doing. She had no routine ready to go or nothing. I didn't even care to catch her name because I knew it was going to be the last class my daughter was at. I even emailed weeks ago to see if there could be an alternative class my daughter could be placed in with a consistent teacher, and I got NO RESPONSE to this day. Following that, I withdrew my daughter. Broke my heart, but I had to. Enrollment is $90 a month for inconsistent teachers and inconsistent routines. So all this to say, if you're looking for structure for your kiddo, this is NOT the place, I am sorry to say. Do better, or sell your business. I hope Ms. Brianna, Rhegan and Melanie all take their talents elsewhere.

I couldn't wait to leave my thoughts. In the past 5/6 months with Encore, we have been welcomed in by every single person at the studio. Bonnie and Wendy, and all of the instructors/personnel have been so incredibly kind, informative and supportive of all the kids! Every detail of their policies and procedures have been well communicated, trust me I have a million emails to prove it! Haha. I knew what to expect the whole time with costume fees, fundraising, and most importantly what to expect of my time. As a single mom, working her way through nursing school, struggling to keep the bills paid...I know that every bit of my sleepless nights to work overtime in order to pay for my daughters way has been worth every bit of it. I would gladly pour into my daughter's passion for dance at this studio. Ms. Mikayla was so patient and supportive of the combo class kids and challenged them to never give up. Her coreo was amazing, along with all of the other instructors and their routines. The amount of friends we have made at the studio has made the experience so enjoyable. This past weekend was tough, because that's the nature of performance but it was worth all of the hard work everyone put into it. When my little girl (7 years) stopped to take everything in on the stage after performances and broke down in tears to thank me for bringing her to Encore, it made me feel like all of the hardships her and I have endured couldn't touch us. I think that says something about a studio. They aren't an institution that steal money and couldn't care less about the families who attend. They make you their family. As cliche and cheesy as that sounds, it is true to the core. I am looking forward to all the many more sleepless nights to keep my baby happy in a place that she finds purpose. I can not thank Encore enough for the joy they have offered us.

We are fortunate to have a place like Top Billing Entertainment (TBE), where children can learn,…read moreperform, and be part of a community centered around the arts. My child genuinely enjoys the classes, and I have seen regular improvements in her movement, confidence, and performance. I am giving TBE a 3-star rating because I believe there are two significant areas for improvement. 1. Organization and Communication TBE has an opportunity to become much more organized. On numerous occasions, classes have started late or instructors have arrived after the scheduled start time. There have also been times when instructors have needed to stop class to remember routines or choreography before continuing. While understandable from time to time, it happens often enough that it reduces the amount of instructional time the children receive. Communication is another area that could be improved. Most information is shared through the Band app, but it is cluttered and difficult to navigate. When parents ask questions, they are often directed back to the app instead of receiving a direct answer. I would much rather receive emails, similar to the clear communication TBE sends for summer camp. A portion of classes is also spent reviewing upcoming shows, participation requirements, deadlines, and other announcements. While these updates are important, much of this information is repeated week after week and could easily be communicated by email instead, allowing children to spend more time learning and practicing. The website could also be maintained better. Show tickets are sold online, but the website is not consistently updated, making it difficult to know when tickets are available. On several occasions, email links have directed parents to outdated or expired pages. Scheduling can be frustrating. Parents commit to a class schedule and plan around those times, only to have classes combined with another class, resulting in schedule changes. I understand that adjustments are sometimes necessary, but greater consistency and planning would be appreciated. Classroom capacity is another concern. Depending on what else is happening, too many children are sometimes placed into the smaller classroom, which has poor ventilation. It becomes crowded enough that children are unable to practice effectively, and even instructors have commented during class about how crowded the room is while asking students to simply do their best. 2. Pricing and Value I also believe TBE should reconsider parts of its pricing model. Parents already pay monthly tuition, purchase costumes, and buy tickets to attend performances. In addition, children are sometimes required to pay participation fees to perform in the shows themselves. As a nonprofit organization, I worry that these additional fees may unintentionally price some lower-income families out of participating. Ticket prices can also become expensive, especially after online service fees are added. Two tickets can easily cost between $50 and $90 depending on seating. Since many performances are held at the school, more family-friendly pricing would be appreciated. There are also occasions when students are required to wear a TBE shirt for an event. If a family doesn't already own one, they must purchase another item simply for their child to participate. One small thing that stood out to me is that if a child forgets to bring a water bottle, parents are required to purchase a $2 cup so their child can drink water. While the cost itself is minor, it feels like a missed opportunity to extend a simple courtesy. Considering the various fees families already pay, providing a complimentary cup would be a small gesture that demonstrates care and appreciation for the families who support the program. Despite these concerns, I remain grateful that a place like TBE exists. My child enjoys being part of the program, and I appreciate the opportunities it provides for children to grow through the performing arts. I am sharing these observations because I genuinely want to see TBE continue to grow and succeed. I hope this feedback encourages continued improvement and also helps parents who are considering the program better understand what to expect.

They have an amazing staff, who truly care about each and every student and are amazing teachers who teach many genres: Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, and Hip Hop; along with singing and acting. Crescendo's annual showcase is the main event of the year. The showcase is very professional and includes professional lighting, sound, and tech. It is amazing to showcase the work done by the students in a performance that is well organized and ran like a professional show! Along with the showcase, the studio holds auditions for summer musicals. We have kids and adults from all areas come out to be apart of an amazing production. I am blessed to say I have been apart of every single production for over 10 years with Crescendo Theatrical Productions, including our last production of Little Mermaid where we sold out the last weekend of shows. If you are into theatre, come join us on our next adventure! Crescendo also has a singing group called the Berrytones ran by the owner and director of the studio, Tracy Berry, and a dance group called Chrysalis ran by Annie Jovellanos. They are the the living example of the studio's motto "Developing God-Given Talents". The studio is a non-profit studio, and these groups perform at many non-profit events like cancer walks, senior citizen homes, and various churches. They encompass the meaning of what it is to be apart of Crescendo by being a family performing in His name. What makes this studio so different from other studios is the atmosphere. We truly are a big loving family, who honor God through singing, theatre, and dancing. Crescendo is my second home, and the friendships and lifelong memories is worth every moment I have spent at this studio. This studio is my family and I thank my parents for putting me into classes at such a young age. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else except for Crescendo.
