My daughter took the 3-4 year old ballet class with Ms. Natalie, and she was absolutely wonderful. So patient, so sweet, and clearly amazing with tiny humans who may or may not follow directions The only reason we stopped is because my daughter decided ballet wasn't really her thing at the moment. While the class was working on pointing their feet, she preferred to "swim" across the floor and occasionally pull her tutu up to her chest. I think she might've just been a little too young to fully grasp ballet structure. But when she's ready to keep her tutu where it belongs and follow the steps, we will definitely be back. My daughter Sofia started at the end of March 2018. She has a lot of energy and she started with Angelina Ballerina. She loves her ballet teacher Ms. Michelle. Such a sweet person! I love to see my daughter so happy and I really appreciate how respect and discipline matters at her school. This studios is the real deal. I am a professional performer and I teach performing arts (not dance), and I studied dance for many years. I can tell you the instructors are top notch, the studio is always clean and tidy (Covina and La Verne) and the students are always put first. The staffs are friendly but they need someone who knows how to run their business. We dip in both La Verne and Covina schools. They are both clean. This review is mainly about the Covina school. Covina school place is not well organized. It takes days for them to reply to your emails. If it's a case sensitive matter, that time would pass and your questions would not be answered. Like when classes are going to start but they don't have your kid's ordered clothes yet for the first day of class. They have posted rules about students being late but not enforced whatsoever. It's unfair to students who are on time and will be disrupted due to these late kids. It's unfair to parents who are always on time that theirs' and kids' time are waisted. They also should enforced no eating in the waiting room. This is NOT a restaurant where people would bring food and STINK up the whole ENTIRE room! It's soooooo disgusting. Prior to their recital night, we were told that they would order pizza for the kids on recital night... which they didn't. So if your kids didn't bring food, they will be hungry or thirsty. My child asked 2 adults for water on recital night and no one helped her because I was informed that everyone was busy taking care of smaller kids. During a break we went by the backstage to see our kids to check up on them, the employee/volunteer said that they were taking care of. We didn't get to see our children. So we took what the person said and left. But I had to go back again and insisted to see my kids after 2 hours of not seeing them to make sure they were ok and that was when I was told about the water and pizza incident. Recital night were chaotic. If it's going to be your first time, I don't think the management care what you should know and not know as a parent. They are NOT very specific on things. YOU as a parent MUST ask A LOT of question on how they operate on recital days. Your kids will be backstage the whole time. They need a better system also on checking out your kids. They should at least announce to form a line outside so it won't be chaos... because we know how people are, if there are no instructions, like forming a simple line, these uncivilized people will just walk through and pass you to get in infront of the door to get their kids. They just need more organizational skills, I think. read more

I have been here for over two years now Mrs Belle is a great teacher and very patient with the class! There are different grades and classes that you can take. My daughter is 6 and loves to go to class. Recitals are awesome too!!! This studio also has a very well organized staff she also does nice incentives for the girls to get them more motivated to learn and get there techniques on point. The girls adore her as a teacher and look up to her. We have never had any issues with the studio or any of the other teachers, she has plenty of other teachers working. My 3 year old absolutely LOVES going to her Baby Ballerina class. All week she asks me when we're going to ballet. The instructor makes the class FUN for the girls by pretending they're fairies and playing age-appropriate music, all while teaching technique. I've been hesitant to write this review. I knew that I would have a lot to say. This review is for the Covina location only. We never attended La Verne. My daughter is a former dancer for one of the classes offered there. We attended for 8 months. I will start with the Pros: -The lady at the front desk was always nice & as helpful as possible. I believe her name is Denise (but not positive). -The instructors & parents attending there are mostly nice. -The facility itself was pretty clean & items were organized. Cons: -Over the 8 months we attended there the area & parking lot in general went downhill. I had numerous people come up to my daughter & I while I was loading her in/out of the car & ask me for money. It was scary & uncomfortable for me at times. There were a lot of people hanging out in the back lot & graffiti going on. One parents car window was broken into. I was relieved when the time changed for daylight again. -Although the instructors were nice things seemed disorganized at times. My daughters instructor was changed halfway though the course with no notice. The new one was very nice but often times running late. Our class was cancelled at one time because they didn't have an instructor to fill in. -The recital fees were way more expensive than I anticipated. Not including pics & additional tickets. My daughter was in dance for 2 years at another place & it was literally half the cost (I would still be there but we moved & live much closer to this one). -Some of the girls that attend here have super attitudes & run their mouths to other students in the waiting area making them feel bad or not as good as them. Also, some parents don't watch their other kids that are just there waiting for the sibling to finish class. When we decided to leave there I received an email bill. I just stopped going once our month finished that was paid off. Apparently I forgot that you have to give 2 weeks of formal notice. I do take some responsibility for that. But the bill via email said I owed them for the current month & if not paid ASAP there's a $15 late fee & my daughter is still considered as enrolled. This made me very upset. They had been closed for a week for spring break (a break that was changed via email the week prior). I made it a point to address to them via email that I was unhappy with the entire situation. I felt like why should I have to pay for the full month of dance when they weren't even open the first week of the month, they cancelled my daughters class once due to teacher shortage & they had a teacher change. My daughter was not there taking up space in their facility. Nor was she taking up an open spot because there were only 2-4 kids in class at times. Anyways, I was mad but I paid them their $50 tuition for the month my daughter wasn't there. I'm disappointed but also relieved that I'm done with that place. I'm over the disorganization, transients & I wouldn't want to have to pay for my window to get fixed or car broken into by staying there. read more

My little girl dreams of becoming a ballerina someday but is shy and has trouble staying focused sometimes. We started at Perfect Pointe School of Dance in January 2013 when she was 5, and I think Ms Belle and ballet have helped coax her out of her shell. She has never asked to skip a class because she loves it. The rates are affordable. The studio is clean and bright. We lost the play area (and jeep) and my toddler son is crushed, but there's still plenty of comfortable seating for parents and siblings even though it gets crowded sometimes. All the teachers including Ms. Belle, Ms Chloe, Ms Anna, are always very nice. She has since performed at 2 recitals and we look forward to helping her fulfill her dream with Perfect Pointe's help. read more

We have been with Ms. Belle for 2.5 yrs now. My twin now 5 yr olds love her, that's why I'm surprised to hear parents call her mean. Ms. Belle has high (but not unrealistic) expectations for her ballerinas, which includes the little ones. I for one love this! I have heard from other parents how the ballet classes their children are run and frankly I've been applauded! Unorganized and children misbehaving, that is not conducive to learning and having fun! There is a uniform at this studio so don't go and buy stuff prior to enrolling. The uniform is contingent on your child's age/level. Good news is Ms. Belle sells everything there! With work and the commute I don't have time for shopping all over town for ballet attire, plus there are no longer any dance stores in the vicinity of Covina. Ballet attire can be pricey but for the quality Ms. Belle's wares are no more expensive than what I've seen online. I have to admit I winced at $7 tights but the reality is if you take care of them they last forever! My girls have out grown them before they ever got a snag or hole. So in conclusion if you are looking for a well organized studio with high expectations for your child this is the studio for you! Oh and I almost forgot... Miss Belle is a great teacher and very patient. My granddaughter has been taking classes since she turned three so about a year and a half and she loves it and she loves Miss Belle. My granddaughter would love it if I would let her come multiple times a week, she counts down the days till ballet. I enrolled her because she does not go to pre school and she is an only child, I watch her during the day for her parents and I thought this would be good exposure to kids that are not family. It has been an excellent experience, in the beginning she was very shy and Miss Belle was very patient and kind to her making sure to keep her close to her and include her and over a year and a half I have seen her do this with many new children. It took about two or three weeks but my granddaughter was dancing and prancing in no time. Miss Belle's own children are very sweet and well behaved. I have complemented Miss Belle and her daughter many times on her daughters behavior and she is very kind to my granddaughter and all the other children. this place is great if you want to bring your little one, i brought my 4year old, who is still really shy and doesn't like to be far from her mom, so we enrolled her in mommy and me classes, i really appreciated the time that the teacher took with my daughter and didnt want to push her when she didn't want to dance, after about 2 wks my daughter was used to it and she actually started to love this class and slowly she started to be more independent, i do have to thank this class because my shy little girl is now a social butterfly and she discovered her love of dance, and she loves all the teachers and students here, so thank you! read more

I was quite impressed. Not all ballet schools are created equal. The owner, "Mrs. Belle" is a classy kinda person. Her passion for helping kids isn't limited to her extraordinary ballet skills. Her and her staff take a lot of extra time in actually "mentoring" the kids in many life lessons.
