When planning my first trip to Pensacola I knew that I would have to give Perfect Plain a try and it did not disappoint. We actually ended up visiting three times! Street parking is available and we never had a problem finding somewhere to park. Hands down my favorite beer I tried was Fine Flowers. It is very floral and super delicious! We were there during the first Pensacola Beer Week which released a new small batch beer each day. On Sunday the special beer was Smoked Lemon Oyster Saison which was absolutely amazing! If they ever have it again please give it a try. I recommend giving this place a try! read more

It is rare to come to a brewery and enjoy every. single. beer. that you sample. That's the case for us at Perfect Plain. The Raspberry Buzzer Beater and Pick a Pop Party (mango) sours were our favorites. But the Carrot Ginger Saison, Coco Gnar Coconut Stout and Holiday Rambler Barleywine were also exceptional. Favorite hangout spot. Bartenders are all friendly and awesome. Beer is always delicious and constantly changing. They always have some sort of event going on whether it be a puppy social or trivia. A food truck is almost always outside and they have a smattering cards board games and games like giant jenga to play. I really enjoyed the atmosphere at this place. We went on a Friday and again on a Saturday night. On Saturday night, there is a live band, which made things more enjoyable, as Friday night, there was just very loud music playing over the speakers. I tried a couple of the dark beers--the Hairy Man Imperial and the Coco Gnar. Both were really good. I especially liked the Coco Gnar. They description for the beer says it tastes like Samoa girl scout cookies, which it really does. If you like coconut, this beer is for you. They have seating outside, so if the weather's nice, which it was on our visit, it's nice to sit outside and people watch. read more

Great upstart! The English Coffee Mild is by far the greatest thing on tap. Hairy Man Stout has great mouth feel. Note: this is a brewery only, not a brew pub. They often have food trucks though. The beer, I hear is good. I'm a wine drinker and they do offer a small selection of wine and bubbly which is great but highly overpriced and very small pours. I've been twice, ambiance on par with a typical brewery in the Pensacola area, albeit a little on the stuffier side. Definitely a younger business "downtown" crowd. Decent beer but the service definitely left a lot to be desired. Apparently the bar tenders can only serve specific people. I was at the bar for a few hours and was only able to drink 2 beers even though the glass stayed empty for a long time. Other bar tenders would look at the empty glasses and then walk away. If you want a relaxed environment and quality beers, Perfect Plain is just for you. The flights are nice, but what really brings me back is the Fine Flowers, and not the garden that is out in the back, but the malty sweet Belgian Tripel they got right out the tap. Not sure when they are bringing this beauty back, but it should just be right around the corner. read more

A solid local brew that puts love into their beer. The bar has a great feel and the beer goes down smooth. Their crisp and refreshing holy spin citrus IPA is a perfect pairing to Pensacola's old school feel and southern charm, A great drink on a hot day. .... any day really. The brewmaster and Bryant the manager were committed to their patrons, take pride in their city and product..... and obviously love what they do given their chill nature and genuine attitude.
