Incredible experience, super happy! I was looking for a caterer for a private party at our house and read the reviews online for Perfect Pear Catering and liked what I saw. They have a terrific online menu that's easy to follow and request a proposal. The following day I was contacted by Kayla and finalized menu items and discussed the staffing required. They also handle the bartender but you have to provide your own alcohol. After our phone conversation Kayla followed up with an online proposal that you can electronically sign and finalize. The day before the event I called to verify everything was on track and to get the specifics like arrival time for setup, etc. at that time she provided the Chef's name and contact info and confirmed on server and a bartender. The day of our event, our chef Arturo arrived on time along with Porsha the server. Both young, friendly and energetic they spent the next hour getting to know each other while prepping and setting up. They decorated the food tables with accent lights and artificial plant sprigs along with various height trays and chafing dishes. The food was all fantastic. Our menu consisted of a stationary Slider Station, your choice to select 3 of the 4 meat options. We went short ribs with apple horseradish slaw, Ginger chicken w guacamole, lettuce, tomato and onion and pulled pork w pickled vegetables and spicy mayo. Additionally we chose a variety of stationary and passed Hors D'oeuvres. We had Garden Fresh Crudités, Classic Bruschetta, Cajun Ranch Dip w black bean hummus and grilled pita bread. We also had an import and domestic cheese board which included seasonal fruits and crackers. All amazing! For passed Hors D'oeuvres we had bacon wrapped shrimp, spinach and artichoke stuffed mushrooms, chicken and cream cheese wontons w sweet plum sauce drizzled on top (my personal fav), chicken empanadas and balsamic steak skewers with white cheddar fondue sauce. Chef Arturo did not disappoint. Everyone raved about the food and flavors. This young man has a bright future. Porsha provided amazing service with a smile all night and our guests loved it all. Sarah our amazing bartender was such a sweetheart and complete professional. She came prepared and mixed up delicious cocktails all evening long. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them! Thank you Perfect Paer Catering for a "Perfect" event! read more

Perfect Pear = perfect party Let's be honest, 10-years is a respectable amount of time to be in business, so with my company celebrating this landmark anniversary we decided a throw an Open House party for our Vendors, Clients, Business Partners, Industry Friends and prospective Clients. What do you do when you want to both feed AND impress an office full of corporate and NE Florida big players? We threw around a few ideas and someone remembered attending a wedding where the catering was fantastic, and after a phone call to a slightly bemused newlywed Wife, we learned the caterers name and reached out to Perfect Pear Catering. Great pricing, fantastic menu options and friendly and professional throughout. The staff arrived early and were dressed immaculately, they brought everything that they needed and set up in record time, their presentation was stunning and their food was outstanding. The savoury options were Baby Back Ribs, the Perfect Salmon Roll, Chicken Satay w/ peanut sauce and Teriyaki Beef Skewers. Their staff also discreetly circled the room with seemingly endless trays of coconut shrimp and crab cakes. The dessert options were mini Key Lime Pie, Chocolate Brownies and mini Pineapple Upside Down Cake and as I felt it was my duty to sample each one in the interests of writing an accurate review, I can reliably say that all were gorgeous. They cleaned up after themselves and left no trace behind, we received numerous compliments on our catering choice and their food quality and I can only hope that they received more business as a result of their fabulous support of our Open House party. They definitely were a factor in our event being such a success and I cannot recommend them enough. read more

I can't say enough about the great experience we had with the Leni Rose and her crew at the Perfect Pear. The food was exceptionally good as well as the presentation and the service. The Grazing board was an exceptional sight and the children and adults who attend loved the chocolate fountains. On top of it they cleaned up and made our day much easier. Thank you for a great day! Just Perfect!!! We decided to have our daughter's baby shower catered. After searching online and looking at multiple catering companies in the area, we decided to get a quote from Perfect Pear. Even though we had never tasted any of their food we really liked their menu choices and the excellent reviews. We chose items from 2 menus (Station menu and Lunch menu); Signature salad, 3 types of sliders, seasonal orzo pasta salad, kettle chips with french onion dip, smoked gouda mac-n-cheese, grilled vegetables with balsamic drizzle, tiramisu shooters. The whole experience was smooth from contract to execution. Everything was absolutely delicious!!!!! All items were perfectly seasoned and made you want to go back for seconds and thirds. We could not have been more pleased and would highly recommend Perfect Pear Catering to anyone. They will be our first choice to contact for our next catered event. read more

Perfect pear gave us the perfect party & food that our guest enjoyed! I worked with Kirsten with the event planning and she was professional and helpful from start to end. We used Perfect Pear for my son's 1st birthday back in 2015 feeding approx. 45 people. I wanted something unique for catering services and explained to Kirsten that with typical filipino-american families we do not just serve finger foods but go the whole nine yards when it comes to parties and that I also didn't want the typical filipino menu. She was helpful in providing options and menu items that complimented each other. The day of the party, Perfect Pear team (including Kirsten) were on time, set up the food and candy station so beautifully, and even came back for breakdown. I could not have been anymore happier with the service and the flavorful food. The food was so good, my family and guests still compliment us on the food selection! My daughter's 1st birthday is in August so I know who I will be reaching out to for the party's catering needs! Thank you Perfect Pear! read more

I haven't used Perfect Pear in a while, but I definitely remember their food. They catered our wedding and everyone raved about the food. I think the most mentions definitely went to the mashed potato bar. We did a buffet style, but it felt more like a holiday gathering as we were married in a house rather than a big venue. The table was immaculate with the prime rib, mashed potatoes and other options. The passed appetizers in the cocktail hour offered a nice variety of seafood & meat options. Everything was piping hot and disappeared quickly. They were a pleasure to work with and were always available when needed. And at the wedding while they were constantly circulating to make sure everything was ok, they weren't hovering or in the way at all. You honestly would have never known they were there as they left the kitchen spotless at the end of the night. If I was ever in need of a caterer for another event, Perfect Pear would be on my call sheet for sure. read more

Wow! We had their catering (as a guest) at a holiday party this week. The food was PHENOMENAL! The choices we tried were the bacon wrapped shrimp, gouda mac and cheese balls, mini cuban sandwiches, and french onion, buffalo chicken, and spinach dips. I couldn't stop eating - especially the mac and cheese balls. Everyone loved the food - it was a great creative flair on yummy appetizers. Not sure what the cost was, but as a guest, it was delicious! read more

Excellent service, food and presentation from beginning to end! We hosted a holiday party for 50 guests in a very small cottage in Old St. Augustine. From the first phone call, to the day of the event, Leni and her staff handled it with ease and expertise. Our guests were blown away with the food and the service and kept asking for their business cards. If you are planning a holiday party, wedding, birthday or anniversary don't hesitate to use Perfect Pear. They also recommended a fantastic bar tending company. Truly the most relaxed event I've ever hosted. Thank you Perfect Pear for making us look so good! Mylene & Jack Martin read more

The presentation of the food at the cocktail hour and the reception was lovely! Plating the salad worked really well, since it took some time for the last guests to get through the buffet line...there was a little something to snack on in the mean time. All of my guests loved their meals, especially the chimichurri flank steak! I would have given 5 stars if they had not forgotten my vegetarian meal and two vegan meals for the wedding party. They seemed to have whipped something up quickly at the last minute. Other than that, I would just recommend to be VERY decisive and clear when it comes to meal restrictions. Add photos read more

The service was impeccable from the start of our inquiry to the last dish being put away. The food was phenomenal and the wait staff did an excellent job! We will definitely be using The Perfect Pair again and highly recommend them! read more

The Perfect Pear catered our daughter's wedding this morning at The Barn at Cottonwood Ranch. I couldn't have been more happy with them. The Staff was so very nice, accommodating, and helpful. The food was delicious (they did a custom chicken and waffles bar brunch for us) but the kindness and enthusiasm they brought to their jobs was no less than "perfect!" It was very touching and appreciated. Thank you Perfect Pear for making such a wonderful contribution to our beautiful daughter and new son-in-law's wonderful day! read more

No words to describe how happy I am with this caterer! I work for a production company and we had a photoshoot in Jacksonville in early October. From the get go, Verousce and her team took great care of me and made me feel very safe in regards to trying a new caterer in a new city (we are from LA). The food was amazing as well as the presentation. This is one caterer you must try and trust, they know what they are doing! Too bad we can't fly this guys to Los Angeles all the time because their food was much better than many pricey options on the West coast. Thank you so much again and I can't wait till we are on that side of the country to work with you guys! xoxo read more

I work for an organization in Jacksonville, FL and we have just recently, in the past year, started using Perfect Pear Catering for almost everything! They do a wonderful job with everything from small business meetings to large corporate events. I have personally worked with them on two very different events. The most recent event was a reception for 350 guests. I didn't really know what type of food I wanted to offer to our guests. I just knew I wanted to offer something unique. Rachel did a phenomenal job when selecting the menu.. I didn't change a thing! Rachel and Anne were also very flexible and easy to work with during the planning stages of the event. We had to make some changes last minute because of the weather and number of guests. They were very understanding and accommodating. On the night of the event, their staff was extremely professional. They were all dressed great and ready to work! Every staff member I came across was happy to help with anything I needed. Now for the important part.. the food. Our guests have not stopped complimenting the sushi, the grits station, the kabobs, everything! Everything was fresh, delicious and HOT! From the market display to the mini desserts, everything was beautifully displayed. The Perfect Pear Catering does great work at a great price. You get a lot for your money. I would recommend this company to anyone! read more

I used Perfect Pair catering for my son's graduation party. All the food tasted good but the service is a different story. From the beginning I was worried by the lack of professionalism but I kept hoping for the best. Then came the day of the party. They showed up 30 min past the time I was told they'd be there. I called their cell number repeatedly and never received a reply. When they did show up I was assured they would be set up in time for our guests' arrival. That did not happen. 20 min after my guests arrived is when they finished setting-up. It was a very stressful experience on my part! The gentleman they sent to set-up and attend my party was a nice young man but not very organized. I kept asking for the chaos of all the boxes, gloves, towels and so forth to be removed from sight. That was a process in and of itself and it never reached the level of cleanliness and professionalism it should have. He kept the food for the guests stocked but he never left the food stations to pick up plates and cups left behind. I did the cleanup in those areas. One of my guests offered to take out the trash when they saw that it was full. This was one of many parties I've hosted where I've used a caterer and I've never had this situation happen. I still have not heard from the person I worked with in the beginning (after calling her cell phone repeatedly on the day of the party). There has been no follow-up on their part since. read more

Amazing from start to finish! I heard about Perfect Pear from my best friend who used their catering services for her wedding. I used Perfect Pear for a Couple's Shower and it could not have been more perfect. Jennifer was a delight to work with from creating a menu to suit our budget to making recommendations on food that would travel well and what would keep for the time period of the event. Everything was top notch! We also had a newly engaged couple as guests of the shower who are definitely eyeing Perfect Pear for their wedding. Thank you for helping us create a memorable event for our friends. Looking forward to working with you guys again! read more

I reached out to the Perfect Pear from my desk in Boston. I was planning dinner for a group of producers, a director and clients. Needless to say I was nervous, but Verousce from Perfect Pear Catering made everything go smoothly. She responded promptly and was patient when I didn't have the answers. Will definitely book again whenever we have a crew in the Jacksonville Beach area. Thanks again for the peace of mind! read more

I am a big foodie and quite particular in my tastes, so when arranging my wedding one of the must haves for me was to have fresh, high quality, healthy and of course mouth watering, delicious food. I had previously attended a small party catered by The Perfect Pear and I really liked their food and service, and after doing a LOT of research on what was available in Jacksonville, I decided to go with them. I was not disappointed. I think nearly half of my guests commented to me that evening that it was the best food that they've ever had at a wedding, and I totally agree. Win! Not only was the food great, the staff were very professional and friendly to all of my guests, they even brought some hors d'oeuvres down to the beach while we were getting photos taken and also put some aside for my husband and myself. They were very detail oriented and the market and dessert displays looked beautiful. They also cleaned up everything so well that it looked almost as if no one had been in the kitchen. Having a tasting was great, and it gave us a lot of confidence that we made the right choice. They were very flexible with the menu and also very affordable. I can honestly say if you are having a party, wedding, whatever, and you want to have amazing food while impressing your guests without breaking the bank, you should look no further than The Perfect Pair. Thanks to the Perfect Pair for adding to our perfect wedding! Kaz & Dave read more

We booked a private, family dinner to celebrate my parents' 65th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, the event had to be cancelled, due to the evacuation a couple days beforehand, for Hurricane Matthew. While we have, therefore, not yet had the opportunity to enjoy the service and cooking of The Perfect Pear, they were a pleasure to deal with in preparing for the event. What's more, Verousce and her team were most accommodating when we had to change our plans. Even though the weather, by the planned date had turned beautiful in Jacksonville, flight cancellations had made it impossible for most of us to arrive in time. Verousce was completely understanding and, in the circumstances, was quick to offer a refund. We look forward to our next opportunity to gather in town and hire The Perfect Pear! read more

Catered my daughter's wedding in October. Everyone raved about the food. The steak was tender and flavorful as was the chicken bruschetta. The servers did an excellent job, The cheese and fruit display was wonderful. The signature salad was probably one of the best I've ever eaten. The pears in it were ....perfect! although I don't drink coffee those who did wanted the name of the coffee company so they could buy it for themselves read more

Perfect Pear always impresses me!!! Their staff is always professional and their food is always great. I work at an art gallery and we hired Perfect Pear to cater an event - they had very little space to work with and tons of people were in their way, due to sharing a space at the bar. Never once did their employees complain or get frustrated. They were extremely professional and efficient. PP also catered my sister's wedding - and I can't say enough good things about the staff. Incredible! read more

I was really disappointed in the customer service with this caterer. I had an appointment scheduled for a cake tasting. Their cakes look absolutely amazing, and I was really looking forward to seeing what they had to offer. On the day of my appointment, she sent an email to me telling me she needed to cancel. I thought it was a little tasteless to email rather than call me, especially given the short notice of the cancellation. I understand that things arise and appointments need to be canceled, however, this is not from where my disappointment stems. She told me that she would contact me to reschedule. Next week will be one month and I have not heard from her or anyone at Perfect Pear. I could reach out, but it's clear to me that they are not interested in my business. Extremely disappointed, especially considering all the good reviews I've read. I would not use this caterer, nor will I contact them again. read more
