All I wanted was a basic pedicure with simple nail polish. I simply can't do a good job on my toenails anymore. And what I got was exactly what I had hoped for. I think that some nail technicians/salons treat those of us who want 'basic' as an inconvenience, almost as if to infer, "Let's get this over with so I can move on to higher paying clients who want real nail art." This being my first time to Perfect Nails Spa, I was curious as to how I would be treated. First of all, I booked with Mali because others had specifically named her in their good review. And Mali did not disappoint. She was fun, polite and really sweet and acted like she cared. Plus she did a wonderful job on my basic pedicure. I booked an appointment expecting to wait 15 minutes but instead I ended up waiting an hour for service to which they told me to leave then come back and I still had to wait an additional 30 minutes and I had to cancel due to other appointments. Turns out they overbooked and didn't tell us... I am not the only one that had to wait everyone who had an appointment had to wait. Me and my sister booked an appt for thing in the morning. Who we booked with wasn't available, no problem. Showed nail tech what i wanted and they helped figure out what to do and how much and explained to me. A nail tech came in and i showed what i wanted she said she couldn't do it but did my sister's and they look flawless! I appreciate the honesty. She started my nails and a man continued to work on the nails and art. He put my base color and it looked good at that point. I want sent to another tech who did my french tip and it was pretty good. The man was worried about another customer that came in and wanted to start her nails. He came back to me to finish my design that i got on 2 nails. My nails were a bit chunky and the products weren't blended around the cuticle. Lost a thumb nail before i even hit a week. So disappointed and have had it with scheduling appointments here and showing up to wait 20 minutes or more. Today I was expected to wait over 40 minutes for my previously scheduled appointment without the courtesy of a phone call to warn me they were running behind. My time is just as important as theirs is, especially when I schedule an appointment and leave work to fit into one of their openings. I tried to make this place my regular spot, but I just never felt comfortable here. While the nail techs do a great job, the entire visit takes exponentially longer than any other salon I've been to, primarily because more time is spent gossiping with each other and answering their personal cell phone calls than on actually getting the job done for the customer. Not to mention that each time I go there, they're always eating at their work stations which just turns me off. I've since found another place that I'll be patronizing more often. read more

I walk in to get my nails done and when I tell this man what I want he pushes my hands sand says OH i don't do that (White tips is what I wanted) and he tells me to call for this woman outside who was talking on the phone. Will never go back here! Charged an additional $5 that was never discussed for regular pedicure and the girl left old polish bits on two toes! I called and made appointment for 2 regular pedicures. Came in for appointment. I was told the pedicures are $20 however our total was $50.. I asked how is it $50 not $40? The girl told me that they trimmed the nails and used lotion so that's $5 more... This was never explained to me and I've never in my life had a pedicure that didn't include this. One of the girls complained the entire time that she hates being there and watches the clock all day to see how much longer until she gets off. This place is beautiful inside but they care less about the customer. My search will continue to find a decent nail salon in Lakeland. read more

This place was so good!! they totally fixed my nails from Lee Spa, i will be going to them every time!! the man who manages the shop did such an amazing job in a good amount of time and he fixed my nails completely which were totally misshapen. this place is relaxing and i will leave lee spa to come here every time, i suggest everyone else do the same! the quality of work here is excellent. i wish they had more gel color to choose from but their options are actually very good and my nails have never looked better. thank you! read more
