There was a gentleman here that did my nails and though he was polite, did not do a good job at all. I asked for a simple fill with regular polish. I get to the register and they asked for $43. I've been charged $23 for a fill before so I was very confused as to why I was being charged $43. The lady offered excuses that did not make sense. After paying, I looked at my nails and it already looked like I needed another fill. I went back in saying that the price didn't seem right, and the nails did not look right at all. She agreed that my nails were not fully painted and sent me back to get them fixed. When the SAME MAN was done finishing, they barely lookedany different and he left polish all over my fingers. Beyond that, the lady said that was all she would do for me. My friend and sister saw my nails and they were customers as well. They agreed that either they needed to be fixed or I should ask for a refund. I'm not as confrontational so I debated going back, but my nails really did look bad. They were rude and the lady said my nails looked fine to her. She refused to do anything further for me. My husband purchased a gift card from Villa Spa Nails for my recent birthday. He was given the card along with the receipt. I tried to use it for my services and was told it had a $0 balance. I showed them the receipt along with the charge on my credit card statement. They insisted the card was used a year ago, even though it was just issued less than a month ago. There was no responsibility taken for an error that was completely made on their part. Fortunately, I'm able to dispute the charge but I would caution anyone from buying gift cards from this establishment. Wow! This HAS to be one of the best nail salons in Lakeland! As soon as I walked in someone came to help me, and when I told the guy doing my nails I wanted a full set he was so happy to help. He asked if I wanted a design (I came around Dec.17, 2020) and even if I wanted Christmas themed nails. I showed him the picture I had on my phone and he had no hesitation in getting them to look exactly how I wanted, I was just so impressed with his eagerness. When he began putting the acrylics on he was constantly asking what length I wanted them and double-checking that they were how I preferred, it was so great. Not to mention he was also super friendly and making jokes the whole time, and it helped me to feel a lot more comfortable. And just look at how they turned out!!! They get you in the door, then have all kinds of add-Ons, and didn't really get what I came for. My first time at Villa Spa Nails, a young man, can't remember his name did a dip powder/SNS on my nails. It was very difficult to take them off. My natural nails after the SNS are in terrible condition. I have a "ring of fire" on nearly every nail. A deep grove indentation. My nails were thin so I had to cut all my length off. I have been a patron of this business for the past 1-2 years when Vincent was the owner not Sea. Vincent was the bomb! The quality was great, he was fast, did exactly what you needed and always had a happy to help attitude. I miss Vincent. Ever since Sea took over, this shop has been going downhill! I came in today to get a special set, showed Sea the picture and he said he can do it. As you look at my nails you can see the design lines are crooked and he used paint when I requested acrylic. He attempted the design 2-3x and after being unsatisfied I asked him to try another design or remove the nails. I had been at the shop for 2 hours! Sea stated "If I take off, pay me for my time." I think thats highly unfair as I'm paying for a service not your time, if so that should be an additional fee. I declined and asked him to attempt ombre, he stated it would take 2 more hours. I cannot spend 4 hours in a nail salon for something soo simple. I didn't want the rhinestones or anything else just a french tip on my nails as shown on the pointer finger in the picture. Sea sat back on his phone and refused to do any other design, refused to take my nails off. I told him he could either fix my nails or take the nails off, he said no to both. I told him call the police as this was a civil matter and I wanted to leave. He said "you call the police!" I told him I would even come back for him to finish my nails as I am a loyal client spending $100+ every-time I come. He told me he is not doing anything to my nails nor removing them and to never come back. I told him that was okay with me, I will never revisit and warn everyone not to visit. He said "I don't care, tell everyone." So here is my warning, STAY FAR AWAY. These people do not give a damn about you, they treat you so nasty but want to tax you on services.
