It is a tiny place on 9th avenue between 58th and 57th street. And they didn't make a fuss that I had my golden retriever with me. My go-to Perfect Brows for years has always been on First Avenue but now that I live on the UWS I've gone here a number of times. The women are just as competent as the women on the UES. Eyebrow tinting and threading were perfect and full leg waxing was fine. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! NOT LGBTQ+ FRIENDLY, if I could give zero stars I would. This is my fifth time going to this location (I have receipts to prove it) and today I nicely told the girl doing eyebrows that I would have my legs waxed and she said wait, then a few mins later she asked if I was a boy or girl? And I told her does it matter? I'm availing your services and she said because the management said that THEY ONLY DO GIRLS FOR LEGS, boys can only do eyebrows and back. I have been going to this shop for years and usually have the same woman doing my brows. Today, I was greeted by someone new that I've never had. I was born with a unibrow so my eyebrows are naturally full and thick. The woman today not only made my eyebrows super thin, she cut me in multiple places and left my brow bone area bruised and swollen. When I told her my eyebrows were too thin and my eyebrow are was swollen, she said that my hair is too curly and she had to work really hard to get it into the shape she did. How? That literally makes zero sense. I've been threading my eyebrows for 20 years and have never had an issue like this until today. I will never return to this shop again and I highly suggest anyone coming to not come on a Tuesday afternoon. read more

I've been getting waxed for about 10 years, and never once have I had an experience like this. I asked for a Brazilian, the woman who waxed me was so abrasive and rushed. I was looking for a new eyebrow place and was recommended by a few Facebook people to Perfect Brows. They specifically said Sree was great so I went and decided to check her out. SREE IS AMAZING!! Not a great experience. The brow technician I had was kinda hasty and rude. Maybe it's part of them working very fast (and they do- a thread job can be as little as 5min). But when I sat down the woman barely asked what I wanted she just tried to start threading. I had to stop her to specify what I wanted etc. the end result was ok. A lot thinner than what I asked for when I specifically said not too thin since I was given the gift of naturally sparse brows... the arch was good but a little uneven and there is a part of my brow that is balder than the other. It's not terrible but I don't think I'll come back. The threading was pretty rough and I had a lot of red splotches after. Holy cow- literally just walking away from this place and my eyes are still sore. I've been getting eyelash tints for years and never in my life has it been so painful. I came here for a lash and brow tint- never been as I usually go to Benefit Brow Bar but this place is so much closer to my apartment, I thought I would try it. Never again! As soon as the woman applied the lash tint, my eyes started burning. I didn't say anything at first because I wanted to give it a chance- but being that last tint has never burned before, after about 3 mins I had to ask her to remove it. OMG it was so painful and they don't provide any eye wash fluid like Benefit. My eyes are red and I'm hoping it subsides soon. Can't attest to the other services but DO NOT GET YOUR LASHES TINTED HERE. Go to Benefit Brow Bar- it's not supposed to be a painful experience. read more

I got my eyebrows threaded here. I would like to point out that I don't trust anybody with my brows. But being in a new place I had to try it. The lady who did my eyebrows paid attention to everything I asked for. I like my eyebrows thick so we started off bigger and went down from there. I know exactly how I like my eyebrows and she did them to my liking. They loss a star for advertising henna and not having anyone to do it. They directly my friend and I to a place 9 blocks away that we walked to just to get there and have no henna at that place either. Throughout my 7 years in NYC, I have alternated between "Great Threads" and "Perfect Brows" depending on where my apartment was at any given time. I think Perfect Brows is a solid place to get your eyebrows threaded. As with any eyebrow parlor, the person makes a difference. Usually I stick with the same person, but in a pinch I've had others do my eyebrows and usually the difference in quality is minor. I think there are 3 things that make this location stand out vs others on the UES - 1) Feedback - I find that I can be very specific in what I want for my eyebrows and my person is very receptive to adjusting or doing one eyebrow first and letting me check it to make sure its what I want. I know it can be annoying and other places can be less receptive / get mad 2) Cleanliness / Convenience - The parlor is always clean and I never have to wait more than 10 minutes (unless it is really busy) 3) Price - I pay ~$12ish + tip for eyebrows and upper lip, which I think is pretty reasonable, considering the quality and what you would pay around the country Would recommend trying a few different people out and finding who you like! I really hate to write this because I loved this place because of how it's close to my house but the last time I went I was SO DISAPPOINTED and ANGRY leaving! Saturday (6/9) I went in around 1:30pm to get my usual wax (clean up only, no shape) job on my eyebrows. When I get there, I asked for wax, and the women doing them kept telling me "No thread is better" and I'm looking at her as if she's crazy because I get my eyebrows waxed there often and it's no issue ever. She persists to insist I get thread, but my mind is made up because it's what I am used to and my money is paying for it so I say we're going to wax instead. I should have listened to her I guess, maybe she was trying to say that SHE couldn't do the wax. We begin to wax and it was going fine until I realized she was shaping my eyebrows in a curved manner rather than keeping the shape. So I asked, can she clean it more, and she did kinda... on one side only and the tail end of one eyebrow was just thinning. She told me that she would clean the other one, but I was so furious that I said I'll tweeze it myself at home, paid (no tip) and left. Before I left she also wiped my eyebrow with some wet towelette, idk what was on it, but my skin burned. Later that day I tweezed them myself and covered the thinning part with make up. When I went to rinse/wash my face off in the evening I noticed that my eyebrow was beginning to welt up. I washed the spot again and it burned like hell. The next day I noticed scarring. Safe to say, I will not be returning because I didn't pay to have my skin torn up. read more

I love across the street and have been going here on and off...i came in around 7:35 and was hastily rushed in a chair by a women who had her coat on getting ready to leave...she was very aggressive with my eyes brows didn't ask anything about how I wanted them done and then repeated to say we are closing you need to come earlier next time (you close at 8) and said it three times...she didn't even show me my eyebrows after and threw aloe on me then was rude when I paid and didn't even tell me the price. Sometimes you can never trust the reviews. Went here based on Yelp and my lady (Shrery?) was so not friendly. Never smiled. I told her in the beginning that I wanted to keep the arch I had, and have a clean up. She cleaned up and didn't keep my arch so I told her to take off some more by the arch....yeah she took a full line off. She also was rough with cleaning my brows and made me put on my own aloe Vera. That's why I tipped her less and now taking a better look I should never have came here at all. She didn't even say goodbye when I said bye. Terrible service. Stay far away from this place.
