A very friendly and knowledgeable gentleman helped us with a cigar and my boyfriend liked the cigar. The cashier thanked us for coming and said he hoped we'd come back. There were multiple seating areas, lots of black and brown leather chairs and we are on a leather couch. TVs were on the Twins game. The air filtration system was doing a mighty fine job. There were bowls of chocolates, Tom Clancy and John Sanford novels to borrow, Cigar Snob magazine to read. And they are open until 9 pm weekdays and 11 pm Friday and Saturday. We'll done! read more

My curiosity made me check this place out and I figured I could probably pickup a cigar as a special little gift for somebody. This place is cool. The have a bar area you can sit up and smoke at and they do have a license that allows you to BYOB. The humidor room is full of a ton of different prices and types of cigars. The gentleman that works there is very helpful and friendly. I decided on a cigar as a gift and also purchased one for myself to smoke that evening. I enjoyed it so much. Not being a regular cigar smoker, I was pleasantly surprised by how helpful (Darn it! Again I forgot the name) the fellow at Perfect Ash was. He set me with up with a wonderful cigar for the untrained palat cognizant that I didn't want to pay a ton of money for something I quite possibly wasn't going to dig. Well done! We visited Perfect Ash while in Minneapolis but I did not see this place as the others did. We decided not to pay the 10 dollars to get into social club, we just sat in the main store area to smoke our cigars. The people were all very friendly and helpful however I felt the cigars were overpriced. I have been in a good number of cigar bars around the country and was not overly impressed with this place. If you need a good cigar and a decent place to smoke it, this place will do. If you are looking for a true cigar bar, this place is not it. Maybe we should have gone into the social club. read more

I've been here once, guy behind the counter was very friendly, answered all my questions. I came for the pipe tobacco. They have a good selection of bulk, they also carry a full line of Dunhill tins as well which is pretty rare. They had some other tins too. After I made my purchase of 1 oz of 3 different stokkebye flakes, I was invited to hang out and enjoy a smoke. Great hours too, open until midnight on Friday and Saturday. Went a couple weeks back, was supposed to go with some friends and my sister, wound up taking my sisters and my cousin. Me and the ladies had a great time, the lounge part was cool and so was the guy working, the was really nice (sucks that I forget his name), but the social club part next door was AMAZING. We had so much fun in there with the members and we really dug the vibe: perfectly chill and laid back, and ideal to smoke and drink in. The members were so welcoming, it makes me consider joining. But, it is so cool that you can pay $10.00 to enter the social club portion and bring a bottle in. I will definitely be back to Perfect Ash! read more

This is my main cigar shop whenever I am in town. Now only do they have an excellent selection, but there always seem to be friendly souls at the bar. You can smoke inside or at some nice tables/benches outside. The "bar" portion does not serve drinks, but it is a great place to belly up for a smoke. read more

My wife and I recently moved to St Paul from Minneapolis and I was looking for a good place to smoke cigars during the cold MN winters. I had heard about Perfect Ash's cigar lounge from a buddy and decided to check it out. Walking into the shop I was greeted by a pleasant crowd of happy customers. I was toured through the large humidor by Jason who was knowledgeable and helpful with choosing some new sticks to try. The selection here is great; lots of Fuente, Padron, Illusione, Tatuaje and Viaje among others. I bought a few cigars and have been back every day since. This place is great, lots of flat screen TVs, wifi and big leather chairs to sit in with great views of the river bank. The staff is absolutely wonderful and hospitable. I was in need of a new pipe tool and pipe cleaners, so a quick Yelp search brought me to Perfect Ash. Shop isn't huge, but it's very clean and appears to be well organized. Since I was only in need of pipe accessories, I didn't check out the cigar humidor, but it did look nice. They have a nice little section of pipe accessories and tinned tobacco. They also have a lot of pipe tobacco jars behind the counter to choose from. The guy working that night told me that if you bring your pipe you can actually sample the tobaccos before making your decision. Guess I should've brought my pipe! I ended up getting the pipe tool and cleaners I was looking for, as well as 2 oz of English Accent tobacco (which is very good). Overall, a very nice experience. Adjacent to the tobacco shop is a private smoking club with a bottle license so no only can you smoke but also enjoy an adult beverage if desired. Visiting MN for the first time, My friend and I stumbled on this place looking for a cheap place to buy cigarettes. Our initial intentions were in and out and off to the bars. We ended up loving the atmosphere so much in this place. We spent a good couple hours just chatting to the gentleman behind the bar (Chad, I believe his name was) and the other locals in there. Picked up some fantastic rolling tobacco as well. The gentleman behind the bar was very knowledgeable and super friendly as was every one else in the establishment.
