Good little cigar shop in Minneapolis area. The humidor selection was smaller compared wo what Im used to, but it was a good size. I understand not everyone is Total Wine and can carry 5-6 versions of every brand out there because they get everything in bulk. You can find 2-3 versions of the Cohiba, Monte, Mac and Arturo etc, and a bunch of brand names I hadn't heard of before, but I am only about a year into cigars and started out with the traditional brands first. Since tobacco taxes vary by state, I paid more for the three cigars that I purchased than if I were to buy them from a local brick & mortar and certainly more than those from online stores. Everything was probably about $5 more than I would pay for them in Texas, but it's important to support the lounge you visit. Upside was the coke machine they had everything was $1 in it. :) I found a house roll and it was very nice and had a really good draw and amount of smoke from it. Priced at $7 it was almost embarrassingly cheap compared to the others in the humidor and I felt like a cheapo in comparison. My only issue was with the stale smoke lingering in the air and in the furniture. They have huge intake and exhaust vents, but when the place gets busy its lingering. After 2 leisurely hours there my eyes about had enough.

Anthony's provides the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a cigar or three on any given Saturday. I was greeted with great hospitality; and was able to enjoy a few hours of comfort and warmth out of the cold. Uptown Minneapolis is super cool and Anthony's makes it cooler. It's a great lounge for what I deem as "real cigar smokers." On my visit, there was a steady flow of customers, some merely bought cigars and left, while others lounged. There were folks reading, some working on their computers, while others watched the football games on the televisions. The humidor boasted of most of the popular cigar brands as well as many that I'm not familiar with. There is a cooler for soft drinks. The furnishing were comfortable and well-worn. The sofas told the story of many a great smoke sesh. But it's important to support the lounge you visit. My only issue was with the stale smoke lingering in the air and in the furniture. The smell was very offensive to anyone that I encountered after leaving there. Even after a wash, my clothes reeked of stale smoke. The place could use a good deep cleaning because the airflow seemed fine. I would go back despite of this, however.

Nice selection ... good prices and relaxed vibe. Popped into the shop on a Fridsy evening to just capture the scene. The ahop closed exactly as posted but chair was comfortable and was able to enjoy my stick. I should have tried some of the restaurants nearby ... next trip.

My husband and I decided to checkout this cigar lounge....Anthony's Pipe and Cigar Lounge in Minneapolis. We had a long day of shopping, and we decided to go out for the evening. We got takeout, and then decided to go to this Cigar lounge. Man, were We shocked!! When we walked in, it seemed like there wasn't much to it, but as you keep walking, to the left through this single door, there was a huge Cigar collection! There were some lounge seats around, and the further that you walk into the place, the bigger the lounge area gets. It was a pretty decent sized lounge, with nice big screen tv's!! The guy who greeted us was pretty nice. He recommended a Cigar to us and it was amazing! We sat in the back of the lounge and to the side and sat on these bar stools. The decor was pretty laid back and classy. We got there an hour before close, and by the time we paid and chose our cigars, we only had 50 minutes to smoke them, and for the sized cigars that we got, that was hardly any time at all, which was frustrating because the cigar was SO GOOD!! We were only disappointed in one thing from this place, and that is not having enough time to smoke our entire cigars. We only were able to get through half of them! If you like cigars, and love a nice cigar lounge. Go to Anthony's Pipe and Cigar Lounge!! You will be VERY pleased you did!!

I'm a big cigar enthusiast and look for Cigar Lounge is anywhere I travel. I like the atmosphere at Anthony's tobacco and cigar lounge. The air was a little stuffy so perhaps it was time to change their filters? Nonetheless enjoyed the chill atmosphere.

Haven't been here since they relocated from Hennepin. Very nice space and a full humidor with lots of options. Pricing seems a bit higher than Tobacco Grove, but I assume that is Minneapolis taxation. Parking is tough, but welcome to Uptown!

If you like to smoke and enjoy good company here is the spot! #cigar #cigaraficionado

Prices per cigar were slightly high, however I thought they were in line with any other cigar lounge I have been to.

However, the products are damaged by the lack of humidity control inside of the humidor. They were selling wet, sometimes even moldy, cigars that were too far gone to be smokeable. I could hardly walk around the humidor without slipping or getting my shoes wet. There were literal puddles of water inside of the room that contains some of their most expensive product...It's a shame that they let all of their cigars sit in such horrible conditions.

Stopped in for a grinder for my wife for...ahem...dry herbs…read more The employee who greeted me at the door - a young woman, probably a college student, with a pierced septum - followed me in a slightly sinister way, making it quite clear that she was suspicious of my presence in the store. I feel kind of bad for her actually, this job must be a real drag and it seems she was pressed into doing this by the even more sketchy manager/owner - a lanky gentleman with sunken cheeks and empty eyes. She should really get the hell out of there - I mean, I can't imagine the pay is that great and having "Smokedale" on your resume will probably only lead to further jobs in sh!!tty tobacco shops or maybe the odd adult film store. Maybe she enjoys the employee discount or the health care plan? As I made my way to the grinders I asked her a few questions as I looked at them. She replied that she didn't know anything about them. I asked if anyone in the store knew anything about these devices and she very sharply responded "no." I then asked to look at a larger grinder on the top shelf to which she immediately responded "that one is fifty dollars" and I had to ask again if I could see it. I could tell from her tone that she doubted I could afford such a princely sum, so that felt good. She let me see it and I fumbled with it as I tried to open it until she took it back and explained how it worked. So, she does know something about these devices, after all. That's odd. I selected one of the grinders and as I was about to purchase it I asked the lanky gentlemen whether the store had an exchange policy for products that don't work. His eyes showed a hint of outrage and then he looked away and said firmly "no." I turned around and walked out without buying the grinder. A very strange way to run a business, but I guess they make most of their money selling cancer to kids. Those enjoying healthier natural delights should opt for the Electric Fetus or Know Name Records for knowledgeable and more sympathetic service. This place is just depressing.
