Hung out here with a couple of friends to enjoy a stogie and watch the NBA Championship game. The humidor has a wide variety of premium brand cigars at great prices. There are several flatscreens throughout. There are 2 main seating areas. Soft drinks available for purchase and all the accessories you need for your cigar experience. Great selection of cigars. Staff was very friendly and knowledgable. The lounge is nice and I was able to work in the afternoon from their space with baseball spring training on the TV. Prices per cigar were slightly high, however I thought they were in line with any other cigar lounge I have been to. Will return! read more

Good little cigar shop in Minneapolis area. The humidor selection was smaller compared wo what Im used to, but it was a good size. I understand not everyone is Total Wine and can carry 5-6 versions of every brand out there because they get everything in bulk. You can find 2-3 versions of the Cohiba, Monte, Mac and Arturo etc, and a bunch of brand names I hadn't heard of before, but I am only about a year into cigars and started out with the traditional brands first. Since tobacco taxes vary by state, I paid more for the three cigars that I purchased than if I were to buy them from a local brick & mortar and certainly more than those from online stores. Everything was probably about $5 more than I would pay for them in Texas, but it's important to support the lounge you visit. Upside was the coke machine they had everything was $1 in it. :) I found a house roll and it was very nice and had a really good draw and amount of smoke from it. Priced at $7 it was almost embarrassingly cheap compared to the others in the humidor and I felt like a cheapo in comparison. My only issue was with the stale smoke lingering in the air and in the furniture. They have huge intake and exhaust vents, but when the place gets busy its lingering. After 2 leisurely hours there my eyes about had enough. read more

Anthony's provides the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a cigar or three on any given Saturday. I was greeted with great hospitality; and was able to enjoy a few hours of comfort and warmth out of the cold. Uptown Minneapolis is super cool and Anthony's makes it cooler. It's a great lounge for what I deem as "real cigar smokers." On my visit, there was a steady flow of customers, some merely bought cigars and left, while others lounged. There were folks reading, some working on their computers, while others watched the football games on the televisions. The humidor boasted of most of the popular cigar brands as well as many that I'm not familiar with. There is a cooler for soft drinks. The furnishing were comfortable and well-worn. The sofas told the story of many a great smoke sesh. Since tobacco taxes vary by state, I paid more for the three cigars that I purchased than if I were to buy them from a local brick & mortar and certainly more than those from online stores. But it's important to support the lounge you visit. My only issue was with the stale smoke lingering in the air and in the furniture. My husband and I decided to checkout this cigar lounge....Anthony's Pipe and Cigar Lounge in Minneapolis. We had a long day of shopping, and we decided to go out for the evening. We got takeout, and then decided to go to this Cigar lounge. Man, were We shocked!! When we walked in, it seemed like there wasn't much to it, but as you keep walking, to the left through this single door, there was a huge Cigar collection! There were some lounge seats around, and the further that you walk into the place, the bigger the lounge area gets. It was a pretty decent sized lounge, with nice big screen tv's!! The guy who greeted us was pretty nice. He recommended a Cigar to us and it was amazing! We sat in the back of the lounge and to the side and sat on these bar stools. The decor was pretty laid back and classy. We got there an hour before close, and by the time we paid and chose our cigars, we only had 50 minutes to smoke them, and for the sized cigars that we got, that was hardly any time at all, which was frustrating because the cigar was SO GOOD!! We were only disappointed in one thing from this place, and that is not having enough time to smoke our entire cigars. We only were able to get through half of them! Haven't been here since they relocated from Hennepin. Very nice space and a full humidor with lots of options. Pricing seems a bit higher than Tobacco Grove, but I assume that is Minneapolis taxation. Parking is tough, but welcome to Uptown! read more

The old time atmosphere is amazing at Anthony's. The dimmer lighting makes for a great relaxing cigar smoke experience. the staff is friendly and always happy to help. I was there yesterday with an old friend and smoked an Asylum Insidious Robusto that was out of this world (highly recommend). Yes the prices are high but that's what it cost to do business these days. in order all my cigars online and smoke at home in my garage 95% of the time, but it's such a great experience being in a warm relaxed environment like Anthony's to puff away a great cigar. Also, I believe the only actual Cigar lounge in MPLS proper. A must for any cigar smoker! read more

I was visiting from Los Angeles and stopped by to have a cigar and get some to go. A very nice wide variety of cigars and other types of tobacco. Very mellow atmosphere and the gentleman that helped me out was very nice and respectful. All the other people smoking there were also in good spirits and attitude. I have stopped in here once to refill my humidor and get some variety going and i was very impressed with the humidor and the place. I been walking by more frequently and the place always has people in it.. the staff was very helpful and made sure i was well taken care of. The clientel was a mix of all sorts of people. Terrorless customer service. The owner was in a foul mood, approached me in front of my friends and customers with a bad attitude and mistaken me for someone who he claimed was drinking alcohol in there a few days earlier. After I told him I was a regular and he had the wrong person, I asked him to ask one of his employees who knew I was a regular and he berated him in front of us as well. After he realized I wasnt the guy and instead of apologizing he started on me that I didnt buy a cigar when I walked in. I explained to him that I bought 3 that last time I was in and I was smoking on one of them. He was very disrespectful for no reason. It was about 10'of my friends with me whom are regular customers buying cigars and none of us will ever return and telling everyone we know about my unfortunate experience. I was in the twin cities about a month ago. I was in town to guest on a podcast and was staying right in downtown. As an avid cigar fan I looked for the closest lounge since my home doesn't have cigar lounges. It brought me to Anthony's which was no more than 10 minutes from downtown Minneapolis! Super convenient! Also, the humidor was awesome! Far bigger selection than any of the brick and mortars I'm used to back home! I was able to score a few rare and hard to find sticks I had been on the lookout for for a long while! Picked up a few great sticks and decided to smoke a nice Liga Privada T-52 there. The clerk cut my cigar absolutely perfectly. I don't think I've ever had such a precise guillotine cut myself! The atmosphere in the shop is perfect for cigar and pipe lovers. Plenty of seating space along with TV's and much more. I hadn't sat down for more than 5 minutes before I was in conversation with some other gentleman. I will be back everytime I am in the cities! Don't pass up a trip to Anthony's and if you get the chance! Sit and smoke in the lounge! You won't regret it!! read more
