Before the appointment, I showed her a photo of my desired style. When I said, "hey, slow down", she responded, "we're either a good fit, or not!" Hmm? The cut was exactly the opposite of what I had asked for, after asking to see the photo several times. Now, I will say that it was in no way the cut I requested but the worst part was after going there for a pedicure and mentioning my displeasure to my pedi person about the haircut and she agreed there was no similarity between the photo and my hair. No problem. It's not the first haircut that I got where I wasn't satisfied. And because of Frankie's (Trish?) attitude at the appointment, I didn't dare go back and complain. All that being said, I attempted to make another Pedi appointment and was told they were not accepting appointments for me. No explanation, nothing, just no appointment for me! None of what she said was in any way accurate. The desk person stated that all she knew was that she was not allowed to schedule me AND at the time I was getting the cut, there were a total of one other client and Liz in the entire salon when I was there and the only person who said anything negative was the stylist. I arrived a few minutes early and immediately sensed tension from the staff member at the front desk. Although she offered me water, her tone carried an attitude that caught me off guard. While waiting, I also witnessed personal conversations and what appeared to be free services being provided to friends or family members. The staff member even felt the need to explain that the young girls going to the back were related to an employee and receiving underarm treatments. This was unnecessary and unprofessional to share with a client. When I was finally brought into her office, I explained that I was interested in lower leg treatment. She went over the process, and when she began showing pricing on the screen, I let her know I couldn't see it clearly due to recently needing glasses. I apologized and asked her to continue verbally. As she explained the pricing, I asked a few clarifying questions--such as the "up to 70% off" advertised on their website and why she kept repeating "minus $20" after each number. Instead of simply answering, she abruptly told me that she had "respected me and expected the same respect," implying that I had been disrespectful for asking questions or interjecting when I didn't understand something. This was shocking and completely inappropriate. I paused the conversation to clarify what she meant and asked directly if she felt I had disrespected her. She said yes, claiming I had "cut her off multiple times." At that point, it was clear the interaction had gone in a direction no professional consultation should ever go. I expressed that her behavior felt personal and biased, and her response was to mention that she has a mixed child--an irrelevant and dismissive comment often used to deflect accountability rather than address the issue. I left without completing the consultation. The entire experience was uncomfortable, unwelcoming, and handled with a lack of professionalism and emotional intelligence. I cannot recommend this location based on how I was treated, and I hope the company addresses the customer service issues occurring here.
