Friendly staff & overall wonderful experience Would recommend this day spa 10/10!!! I called to schedule a service recently, and after being a customer here for years I know how busy their schedules can be, and they were able to fit me in that same day due to a cancellation. Love love love Nicole & Anna Brooks. read more

I struggled with "love handles" for about 15 years now, and with knowing how great Glo MedSpa is with other services in the past, I figured I'd try CoolSculpting for this trouble area of mine. This was back in spring... 4 months later, the results were incredible! I have virtually zero bulge around this previous trouble area, it's amazing. I cannot thank Kristin C. enough for her great work! She made it so easy, is friendly, professional, and fun. Men want to keep ourselves looking good too, and this place has not disappointed in all the years I've been going! read more

had an appointment scheduled on Saturday 11/4 for a facial with Amy. reveived confirmation text the day before and the morning of to confirm the appointment. Arrived for appointment and was told that there was no record of my appointment and they did not know who Amy was. I was told I would have to reschedule with someone else for another day. Never actually had my appointment, not sure if I will want to reschedule it. read more

I would recommend Glo Medspa to the British Royals. Jess is outstanding. Jacqueline is also. I am 61 and will always go to Jess! I also feel like she is a good friend. I will always defend her honesty and openness and kind heart. The front desk ladies are so kind and helpful. Love this place!! Love the ladies!! Adore Jess! read more

Very nice staff! My appointment was on time. Took the time to talk about my treatments!

I have given Glo many opportunities and a few years. After one massive cyst after Botox they recommended I call my dermatologist. Glo said they did t know what happened. I went back 3 times and 3 different professionals said they didn't know either. I went back a year later and after more Botox my right eyebrow was significantly higher than the other. No worries it could be "fixed." Well it couldn't and she suggested more Botox in the already raised eyebrow. I suggested more in the other less raised brow and she said "oh yeah your right." The front desk ladies are always very nice, but the actual injection professionals are very rushed. I have found better Botox/dysport places who actually listen and take their time. read more

I live in NYC but always return to the Wilmington area for an annual vacation. I always enjoy getting a facial these trips. I selected GloMed Spa because of the stellar reviews, and bc the aesthetician I usually go to at another salon no longer resides in the Wilmington area. So this review is about the management and April. When I had originally called they asked me if I had a preference, and I didn't. Now I wish I had asked for someone who was mentioned positively on Yelp.... My aesthetician April (who did not have any reviews) was very rough when exfoliating my skin. I asked her to lighten her touch. She did so but as the facial continued on she reverted back to her heavy handed technique. She told me I had many blackheads she needed to extract. She showed me on the cotton which she was doing the extractions a lot of blood but she said it was mostly dirt. Something just did not feel right on my face.... knowing that facials can initially cause irritation before clearing skin up I ignored it. But later in the day it was evident she has peeled a couple layers of my face. hI had an open area of skin by my left eyebrow. I had a 1-2 cm open area of skin healing above my left brow, which is a healing scab. First she made me feel like I had the most disgusting skin she has seen but second she literally tore my face up. My skin may not be perfect but I have had many ppl compliment me on it. This was also not a relaxing experience. It made me feel so awkward. I didn't realize the complete damage that had been done until later in the day. I called the spa the day after to notify you all of this and you apologized but did not offer my money back, or another free service. You said you would let April know and hoped I would be back for business in the future. I will be posting a photo of my face on Yelp as to show what has been done. I am giving it 2 stars bc of the cleanliness but other than that would definitely deter someone from coming here. Update: It has been 1 month since my facial and the mark above my eyebrow is still there. No one from the spa has reached out to apologize. Horrible service. read more

I recently moved to this area from Los Angeles and one of the first things I thought to myself was where am I going to find a MedSpa like the one I go to at home? After a lot of research, I came to find Glo MedSpa. This place is absolutely wonderful - and they offer so many different services. The staff is so inviting and friendly and the spa is incredibly clean. Brandy has twice been my esthetician here and she is AMAZING. She is so informative and does such an amazing job with my skin. I honestly found my skin fairy. If you are looking for the perfect MedSpa look NO further. read more

The staff are friendly and very professional. However, I didn't get the whole service I paid for. I was expecting to get 1hour with the facial service I paid but only get less that 30 min. Did not get the facial mask, neck, shoulder and hand massage supposed to be included on the service. read more

A consultation is to be able to address skin concerns with the person whom suppose to be the subject matter "expert" and gather some education along the way. Not , to only be asked if I want products or a treatment plan an get bothered or annoyed if I am asking questions . Or feel rushed out of there. Y'all can keep it and shove it. read more

I can't say enough about April and Kristen. April gives an amazing combination of hydra facial and dermaplaning skin care regime. She is very thorough, gentle, professional and caring esthetician/massage therapist! I have had over half a dozen different facials and have always been happy during after my sessions. I also, have had a wonderful massage by her. I would recommend her for both skin care and therapeutic massage. Kristen has been doing my Botox/Filler injections since I moved to Wilmington 2 1/2 hrs ago. She always makes sure that I am comfortable by not feeling any pain. I get very faint when getting filler so she takes the time to numb me, turn on some good music and talks with me to calm my nervousness. She is amazing at what she does! She is not only professional but very down to earth and out going with a bubbly personality that makes you feel at ease. Thanks to both of them making me feel good and look good at the same time!! read more

I live in Raleigh, but came to Wilmington to go to Glo Med Spa. My sister told me about the excellent service she receives from Kristin. The staff at Glo Medspa puts the customer first and they work as one team. I was impressed by everyone I interacted with at Glo Medspa. Also, the work I got done by Kristen was outstanding, and I will travel from Raleigh to work with Kristin. read more

Megan V is the best! She takes the time to assess your skin and explain what's going on thru every step of the process. I was recommended by a friend to this place. I have been to other places in California, so this was my first time getting treatment in NC and WOW if I could rate Kristen the nurse over 5 stars I would!! I got fillers and Botox and I felt like she turned the clock back at least 5 years!! It was worth the 2 hour drive to get there!! Kristen listens to what u are looking for and perfects it!!! It took a while to see her but she was definitely worth the wait!! AND to finish up Nan the in the front desk was like the cherry on top!! She helped me sign up for discounts and was patient, professional and polite!!! AND even as busy as she was she still had a smile on her face while she helped me! This place is truly lucky to have to these two girls!! I will definitely recommend this place to any of my friends and family read more

If I could rate this over five stars I would. This place is absolutely AMAZING! I had never received a facial before (skeptical if it was worth the money or not) and I am 100000% upset that I waited this long to get one. Upon arriving (I got lost before and had a difficult time finding the building but called them and they helped me find it), they were all so welcoming, the atmosphere was very clean and relaxing (It looked like I wanted a spa to look like). I might be a bit bias because I have never gotten a facial before but this was ONE OF THE BEST EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE. The lady who gave me the facial (I believe her name was Nanci) was incredible, very friendly and welcoming. She answered all of my questions that I had both before and during the facial as I was really interested in all of the products and techniques she was doing and why. My skin has never felt/looked this good and clean. Essentially I would recommend this place to anyone if they had any skin care issues or simply just wanted to Treat Yo Self. read more

Very happy with the results. Still have a few lines and some movement but overall an excellent experience

I've been a client For over five years @ GLO . I had to take a few moments to mention how wonderful this spa is! First: it is fresh, clean and beautifully decorated ! Every private room is comfortable and spacious. Next, the professional quality of care is five star. The staff is not only kind & sincere but very intelligent ! Their degrees are stellar. Their Knowledge is priceless. When it comes to "YOU" and your skin care, best products for your skin type, botox, facial treatments ;etc. Please do not settle for less . They have helped me so much with my skin problems and facial issues ,I'd give them six stars if able. My entire family and I believe In them! There's a reason that GLO MED SPA has been in business For ten years @Mayfaire, Quality -Great Attitude-Affordable -and most of all The STAFF REALLY TRULY CARES ABOUT YOU AND WHAT'S BEST FOR YOU!! I went here to get a brazillian wax after reading on their website that they offered hard wax. When I called to book my appointment I asked the lady about the hard wax and she said that the esthetician would decide once I arrived if my skin type needed hard wax (apparently they only offer it to people with sensitive skin). I thought for sure they would let me have the hard wax if I requested it once I arrived. Not the case. I asked the esthetician about the hard wax and she said she didn't use it. I even mentioned that they say on their site that they offer it, but she was adamant that she had to use soft wax for me. I was very disappointed. Then it took her quite a while to wax me and then tweeze a bit. I thought this would be the best wax job ever since she was so thorough. No, it was one of the worst I've had. Once I was home I noticed she completely missed an entire line of hair, so noticeable that later I tweezed it myself. This was also the priciest brazillian wax I've ever had. I paid over $60. Because of the lack of hard wax, poor wax job, and high price I won't be returning. read more

I went here back in Sept of 2010 and wasn't impressed that time with the service I had, so I was really hesitant to go again, but I thought I'd give them a second chance. I am SO glad that I did. I scheduled a facial with Rebecca and she was amazing. The bed/chair that you lay in during the procedure is hands down the most comfortable thing I've ever laid on during a facial. And I've had LOTS of facials over the course of my life. Even the most expensive and fanciest salons in NYC do not have beds that comfortable. After a few min Rebecca came in and started asking me about my concerns or what I would like from my facial. She then did an evaluation of my skin and came up with a customized treatment for me. It was heaven. She recommended products for me to use, but didn't seem pushy AT ALL. It was a mere suggestion and if I wanted to buy it, then it was a good investment because it was the best product for my skin. I really liked that because there is nothing that can irk me more than paying for a service and then being up sold during the whole thing. She was very very fun to talk to, and made me very comfortable. It was like getting a facial from someone you've known forever. The time seemed to pass buy quickly and I was done. I took a quick look in the mirror as I was getting dressed and my skin already looked amazing. I ended up purchasing several of the products she used on my skin and even booked my next appt to see her. She's THAT wonderful. I would recommend Glo Medspa for any thing you need done. Super happy I went back. read more

Staff is pleasant and knowledgeable however I had cool sculpting mini done at a cost of $900 with the result being a deformed asymmetrical neck with minimal fat loss forcing me to keep a beard ever since. They offered to attempt to correct the issue with kybella which would have cost me even more. I wish I had never done this and would discourage anyone considering cool sculpting mini. Fortunately I am a man and can hide the deformity. Females beware. read more

I get facials here with Nancy and absolutely love this spa! I have been going to Glo for years for botox with Casey who gives me wonderful results but haven't needed any other services until now. After three laser treatments spread out over three months I can attest to the fact that Jacqueline at Glo is an IPL super star ! I had IPL about 12 years ago in Los Angeles and was Not Impressed with my results. Annoyed with persistent broken capillaries popping up and some brown spots on my nose and one larger brown spot on one of my cheeks becoming seemingly much darker overnight, I decided to give it another try. About a week after my first session, I was very impressed with the results. The brown spot on my cheek that I'd had little hope for was faded at least 50 % and ALL of the broken capillaries near my nose were gone and much of the redness from my chest was gone. I have had two follow up sessions with Jacqueline and now the spot on my cheek has all but completly vanished - This was a very brown shot about the size of two pencil erasers. Jacqueline is a very sweet, friendly, outgoing woman with an Excellent bedside manner, she warned me before anything especially painful was coming and kept checking in with me the whole session : "How are you feeling?" "Is this burning?" "Does this area hurt too much?". She switched off between the vascular laser for the redness and the other laser for the brown spots to give my skin little breaks from too much pain in any one area for too long. What I especially appreciated was how darned determined she was to get every last spot or broken capillary. She really, really cared about giving me the best result possible. It was like she was working on herself - she was that focused on perfection ! Since summer is coming and I garden a lot and will be exposed to more sun - even with sunscreen - I decided to knock off the IPL till fall..... but I will be back to Jacqueline in the fall. She made a believer out of me and gave me amazing results I hadn't even hoped for. read more
