I had the HydroFacial combined with dermaplaning and red light therapy, and I can honestly say it was the best facial I've ever experienced. From start to finish, it felt luxurious, personalized, and incredibly effective. Mary Hannah is a total gem--gentle, knowledgeable, and so thorough. She explained everything she was doing, made me feel completely at ease, and left my skin smoother, brighter, and more radiant than ever. Self Skin Studio is also the best if you're looking for Botox, Filler, or Microneedling in Wilmington, NC! If you've been thinking about treating yourself, this is your sign. Abby sweetly walked downstairs to greet me after my call requesting directions once I entered the building (it's upstairs by the way lol) The moment I walked into the practice , I was stunned by the simple and modern elegant decor. First treat of my day was the dermaplane facial, and it was truly amazing. Not only was it incredibly relaxing, but my skin felt rejuvenated afterward....for days! That was shocking because my skin is crazy dehydrated!! The esthetician, Mary Hannah was professional and extremely knowledgeable. She took the time to assess my skin, listen to my goals/wants for my skin and provided her expert suggestions while addressing my biggest concerns. I felt genuinely heard, and Mary Hannah easily earned my trust!! The next was a biggie for me. Originally I was nervous about fillers in general. I learned the importance of trusting your practitioner/injector. I opted to have Sculptra filler treatment done by Katie, and I couldn't be happier with my decision!! Katie took the time to listen to my desires and hopes for my skin, and she provided her professional expertise while focusing on my specific concerns. Her attention to detail and dedication to achieving the best outcome for me was truly impressive. I love that the company name, Self Skin Studio, aligns perfectly with their philosophy. Katie and Mary-Hannah designed a treatment regimen that focused on nurturing and enhancing my own skin, and I couldn't be more grateful!! If you haven't had the pleasure of experiencing the expertise of Katie and Mary-Hannah, I highly recommend booking an appointment today. Not only are they incredibly professional and knowledgeable, but they are also beautiful people inside and out. I am eagerly looking forward to seeing the end results after my additional Sculptra treatments. I know it will be worth the wait, and I just need to remind myself to practice patience. Trish, the owner is absolutely lovely! Her presence and leadership have set the tone of the entire practice. It is evident there is a strong sense camaraderie and genuine care among the staff. The energy is more of a family rather than co-workers which creates and positive and uplifting energy! Overall, my experience at Self Skin Studio was exceptional. The spa itself exudes a classy and modern ambiance, and the staff goes above and beyond to ensure you feel welcomed. I highly recommend this medical spa to anyone looking for top-notch skincare treatments and a truly personalized experience! Looking forward to seeing these lovelies again soon! Thank you for being so wonderful!!!!

Dr. Smaldone took the time to truly listen to how I was feeling and my struggles. She asked insightful questions and talked with me for an hour before coming up with a plan to get me healthy and thriving again. She was extremely patient with me and explained everything clearly. It's rare to find a physician who combines such a high level of professionalism with warmth and compassion, but she manages to do it effortlessly. For the first time in a long time, I feel heard, supported, and confident in my care. My entire experience from the front desk to the consultation room has exceeded every expectation. I highly recommend La Vie Aesthetics & Wellness Clinic.

Two days later, I received a text from practice manager, Nicole, who told me she was canceling my appointment because "they couldn't offer me anything in their tool box," based on a photo I had sent the first person I spoke with. It was so incredibly rude and unprofessional the way this was handled. They should have kept the consult appointment and made a decision in person because no photo shows everything especially when it comes to skin. I do not recommend this practice at all--mostly because the practice manager is a ***** and clearly doesn't know anything about customer service!

Aleta took the time to listen to my goals, answer all my questions thoroughly, and design a personalized and realistic treatment plan tailored specifically to me. Aleta's knowledge and skill are unmatched. I've had multiple treatments now, and every single one has exceeded my expectations - not only in terms of results but also the comfort and confidence I felt throughout the process. Being over 65, I'm not new to lasers, neurotoxins, or filler and I know the difference that United Medical and Aesthetics provides it "patients." The results? Absolutely phenomenal. Natural, refined, and exactly what I was hoping for - just a more refreshed and confident version of myself. Friends and family have noticed, not because anything looks "done" but because I simply look great. That's a testament to Aleta's skill and artistry (yes artistry) and her deep understanding of facial aesthetics. If you are considering any kind of aesthetic treatment, I can't recommend the United Medical and Aesthetics Team enough. Aleta has not only enhanced my appearance but have truly transformed the way I feel about myself. I trust Aleta completely and will never go anywhere else.

What I didn't anticipate is the level of professionalism I would receive in this clinic. Before I could even make an appointment, the owner spoke with me via telephone answering any questions I might have. A medical history questionnaire was sent to me and was reviewed by the owner, PA Sean Hensler. I actually kept a copy as it was the most extensive, thorough form I ever filled out from any medical professional. When I showed up to the clinic, Sean spent even more time with me, explaining the benefits of this therapy and again, answering any questions I might have had. The package I purchased consisted of 4 appointments that would boost my immune system, detoxify my liver and purify my blood with a perk of anti-aging benefits. A Vitamin C IV drip afterwards was a great enhancement of the benefits from the IV protocol. I don't know of anyone today who isn't concerned about keeping their immune systems strong and staying well in today's world. If you share this view, you will not be disappointed with the wide variety of treatments available to meet any health issues. They truly care about your needs so don't hesitate to try them. If you don't have your health, you really don't have anything!!!! Trish Roman
