I've gotten pedicures there recently and decided to try their hair stylist. I was given a name Frankie and proceeded to schedule an appointment. Before the appointment, I showed her a photo of my desired style. She looked over it several times and guided me to shampoo station where she pushed my head and hair around way too harshly and without much care as to how it felt. When I said, "hey, slow down", she responded, "we're either a good fit, or not!" Hmm? The cut was exactly the opposite of what I had asked for, after asking to see the photo several times. Now, I will say that it was in no way the cut I requested but the worst part was after going there for a pedicure and mentioning my displeasure to my pedi person about the haircut and she agreed there was no similarity between the photo and my hair. No problem. It's not the first haircut that I got where I wasn't satisfied. And because of Frankie's (Trish?) attitude at the appointment, I didn't dare go back and complain. All that being said, I attempted to make another Pedi appointment and was told they were not accepting appointments for me. No explanation, nothing, just no appointment for me! So, hopefully, the owner,Melinda is reading this and will explain where their professionalism came from. Thanks for listening. I just received a response from Melinda on my post. None of what she said was in any way accurate. The desk person stated that all she knew was that she was not allowed to schedule me AND at the time I was getting the cut, there were a total of one other client and Liz in the entire salon when I was there and the only person who said anything negative was the stylist. I was too shocked to speak. I in no way complained about the cut to her, but it was mentioned to Liz who had referred me to the stylist, when I was there a week later.

My first trip there consisted of simple, standard offerings from a sweet older couple. The salon has changed drastically! They offer just about anything you want! I got a long, wonderful massage and a paraffin dip for my feet. Honestly the softest my feet have ever been post pedicure. I also got a set of crystal nails. The tips themselves have glitter and stars. I love them! The best part is, it didn't take forever, the nail salon I was going to would have taken 3 hours for a pedi and nails. This was just over an hour. I was thrilled with the results, too. Best part? They offer customer loyalty cards, so many punches and you get a free service. Awesome, right? Then, the wedding party was an hour late to the wedding because Moxie only accepts Venmo, cash or check, but 3 out of 4 people couldn't get Venmo to work, even though we were all able to transfer with Venmo between us. They were supposed to have a card reader with them, but they "forgot". They need more experienced stylists to charge that much and update their technology to improve convenience of paying.

This office is actually very close to where I am residing but a lot of my commute is on one lane roads. I was about 5 minutes late. The initial check in person gave me the "talk" about being late. Intentionally trying to make me feel bad. Someone else heard the conversation and came over and said she would go back to see how things were and let me know. Turns out they could see "get me in". I was very grateful and completely do understand the need for these policies. But I also feel that any organization should account for things like this happening everyday. Or maybe have a small fee if we are late past so many minutes. But the initial reaction by that one receptionist really does need to change. Just rude and totally unnecessary.
