My wife tried to post a review of this company but it never showed up. We have has ENDLESS issues with our internet (cmcast). They have come out and said everyhting is fine several times but our damily is always complaining about the speed. I wont get started on them. We actually hired Amiee to help us with our compyter but she noticed the speed was awful too. She told us that we needed better coverage in our house and got these white things - extenders. AFter she put them in we didn;t have ayn more complaints from our kids over Thanksgicing. My wife really liked her, I liked her no nonsense attitude. She shares our discontent with comcasst. I found Amy through a local newspaper ad and hired her to install a computer/software and transfer files from another computer. She explained everything in a way that I could understand (I have limited technology knowledge), then worked fast and efficiently to complete the work. She also checked the speed of the network and advised me to install an extender in the garage. I asked her to order it and come back to install it, which she did. I also had her negotiate rates with Xfinity and she was phenomenal. I negotiated contracts in a previous life and can vouch for her skills. Impressive. In the past, Amy has done research that made me change my mind about what I wanted to do (she didn't charge me, but her advice was worth an hours charge anyway). Lately she spent a lot of time cleaning up my brothers computer and gathering information to send on to others that was very important to him. This year, I am going to have her come out and clean up my computer. Programs I am using are warning me that they will be changing things. I worked with this company many years ago but due to health reasons, couldn't use a computer. After my stroke I contacted Amy to help me brush up on my computing skills. I basically had to learn everything all over again. She was sooo patient and walked me through everything slowly. She really has a way with seniors. She even emailed me with steps that we had gone over just so I could go back and look. She has been a lifesaver for me and my wife and I can't thank her enough. My computer went haywire the other day so I called PepTech (Amy). I was so fortunate that she happened to have a space open that day. I was surprised at first to see a female computer wizard but she was fantastic. She fixed everything and has been helpful with other tech things we have (our phones, printer). My computer was "Hacked". Lost emails, many files and hard drive crashed. Amy did an excellent job of recovering my files, emails, and data. She also replaced my hard drive which became corrupted. She was polite and clearly explained what went wrong and how to take more preventative measures against "Hackers". I appreciated her explanation even though I don't understand any of it. I saw clever ads in the local paper for this company. I needed help setting up my new laptop. She came to my house and set it up along with my printer and showed me how to use its. Got rid of the stuff I won't use (which is a lot). I also needed Word and Xcel on there so she got that too. Worked quickly, cost me less than $200.
