Great bar! Happy hour every day all day!!!!The best drinks are "Crushes" with fresh grapefruit or oranges. Hand pressed for each drink. It's dog friendly and the bar tender Richard is the best ever. Great conversations with this guy. Must visit!

Went to the Malort party at Pepps, I had never been to Pepps but we had just returned from Chicago and wanted to join in on the Malort fun. A good neighborhood bar especially if you are a cubs fan.

Definitely a yuppy bar. It's a extremely dog friendly bar. So much so it feels like the dogs are bringing their owners here. When we arrived there was a huge part sectioned off for a dog having a birthday party. Total barf. If that's your thing then sure -- if not don't bother coming. Weirdly, the bartender was extremely funny while the rest of the crowd was cold. I guess because we didn't have a dog? It's an OK bar, I'm not the clientele but I can appreciate what they're doing. They do a cute thing when you order a shot of Malort. They take your polaroid while you're shooting it back and caption it with your first impression. Then they paste your photo on the wall. Very cute. If you're in the area pop by, if not -- I wouldn't go out of my way unless maybe you had a dog birthday coming up.

A variety of beers and liquor, which I like. They even had tvs on with the NBA playoffs on (major plus to me). Anywho, my Sunday funday was here with nice staff and good beer. And some cute furry friends (dogs lol) as well

This little local pub has recently become one of our favs to belly up and hang. Friendly people, lots of dogs, food popups, good bartenders.

Great beer selection, helpful bartenders, and we enjoyed sitting on the patio watching the pups come and go since dogs are welcome.

Yet, it seems quite popular with locals and was fairly full for a Tuesday Trivia Night. I ordered a Pimm's cup since Pimm's was on the shelf - the bartender looked confused and told me they don't have any of the ingredients to make one. I changed my order to a flavored vodka - they don't stock any. I ended up ordering a Vodka & 7, but received a Vodka Soda. Were the drinks cheap? Not so much. Was the service friendly? Not so much. I ordered food hoping this was the redeeming feature of the bar. I ordered a steak sandwich at $18 - the service time was quick but the sandwich didn't have much flavor - it was a dry, difficult to bite through thin steak with not much flavor to speak of. The tater tots were crispy and hot and I loved the Brussel Sprouts; they were doused excessively in the dressing but I liked it. There is a nice patio out back - they had fans in this area which is always appreciated. This bar just didn't have the stock and amenities that many other bars in the area do have . Walk to magazine street for better options.

Cajun Mikes is locate on the south side of Baronne Street just west of Canal Street…read more I won't go into why and how I ended up going here tonight, but wow, am I glad I did. When you enter Cajun Mike's, it screams right into your face "Dive Bar!" From the tin ceiling to the well weathered bar top, fancy is not on the menu here. I came here because I heard their food was top notch, and I was hungry and grabbing food to go, so less walking to the hotel was the strategy so the food wouldn't be freezing when I got it back to the room. I perused the menu and decided on a few red beans and rice, a gator sausage po boy, a shrimp po boy and a roast beef po boy. I figured I may as well bring back a good sampling for both of us to try. I placed my order with the female bartender and then ordered a can of beer, no taps in this swanky joint. While I waited for my food to come out, I drank my beer and listened to the regulars and the bartender talk about various topics. My food was delivered pretty quickly, I then embarked on my walk back to the hotel. Once I arrived, we heated up the red beans and rice as it was not warm, but once it was, it was delicious. The big chunks of sausage really made it good and it had just the right amount of spice. All three of the po boy sandwiches were delicious in their own way: the shrimp was crispy and tender and full of flavor. The roast beef was full of flavor and absolutely delicious and the hair sausage was moist and flavorful as well. Each one was great in their own way. While o cannot speak much to the actual bar, since I spent limited time there, I can say the food here is outstanding. My beer was cold which is all I can ask for from a bar really. If you're hungry and don't want to venture down bourbon street, this place has great food that is reasonably priced.
