I was in the area and noticed pepper place and had to stop, great selection of hot sauce and so cool that you can sample them right there, I picked up 4 hot sauces and my favorite is the ghost pepper with garlic but unfortunately I picked up one of the extreme ones and for some reason it's not very hot at all like I tried in store, shook it up and everything and a large amount on my tacos was not hot. Hot sauce and spices GALORE! Greeted as soon as we walked in. The store was not busy at all. Fun to browse all the fun names of the sauces. You can even sample while you browse and before you buy which is nice. They also had jerky towards the back of the store. My wife and I were on vacation in Holmes Beach and took a trip to St. Armand's Circle and we had a coupon for a free bottle of hot sauce if you bought something else. I LOVE hot sauce and this place was my Mecca. Unbelievable. Hot sauces, BBQ, rubs, everything! They have samplers of everything so I tried a ghost pepper salsa. Amazing, but HOT! I bout a habanero rub for my seafood during the week at our time share and it was awesome! Even though we didn't get a sauce, they have us a free bottle of their hot sauce for the 10 dollar rub we got. the worker guys were super cool and encouraged sampling and seemed to genuinely appreciate people coming in their establishment. Sooooooo, here's the deal. My husband is a hot sauce and salsa junkie as is my bff. Every single year we spend a small fortune in this shop taking home stuff for us and as gifts. And please understand we are not cheap! Spending a $100 here is easy. Until this year that is. First of all, the guy with the long hair and dark glasses on is rather condescending and rather rude. Perhaps you should be a little nicer to your customers that are actually placing product on the counter and going back for more. Don't let the fact that my husband sounds southern and you think he's nice. His wife is a Yankee Texan and you pissed us off! You lost a nice sale today guys! My husband simply asked if he had two of the bottles out to sample. He replied with "no, I can't have them all out". My husband just asked because he would have tried it before buying it. He would have bought it since they didn't have a sample, but that was the wrong answer and attitude! Very cool shop for a heat addict. I love that you can taste test so many different salsas, hot sauces, jellies, and dips. Some sauces are obviously more for shock value than anything else, but there are a few 10-rated sauces that actually had really great flavor to go with the capsaicin. Oh oh found my palace! *:)~ This palace is quite the same like any other pepper spicy store. They store a huge selection of "kill me now" spice and sauce so that they leave the store feeling so much on fire! I went into one spicy pepper hot place store before in a town called "New Hope" so this is not new to me. They have everything hot and spicy sauce from almost every country and city yes every except I can't find one from the country of my origin. So ok, it's time for me to promote some spice from Malaysia and I hope everyone would really be on fire! I bought a bottle of "black rose" hot sauce to try it with my home made chicken wings. I haven't made one but I'll broil the chicken with this black rose. The bottle's label is absolutely scary, it's a skeleton, so I'm sure whoever tries my chicken wings will get a heart attack or close to death. Our salesperson was a young girl who's super glad to let me try everything, They sample the sauce from 1 being the least hot/spicy and 10 being the most and dangerous hot/spicy. We enjoyed being able to sample all of the sauces, glazes, and dips. The set-up is great for this little niche shop. The hot sauces are organized by intensity and then you have barbecue sauces, glazes, salsas, dips, and mixes. We did not try the hottest sauce (you have to sign a waiver and I'm a wimp) The gentleman working this evening was friendly and gave us great tips as well as answering any of our questions. read more

Horrible service. I came with my aunts this past weekend. We all love hot sauce and planned on buying whatever we can to bring or ship home. As soon as we head in, my aunt opens the door to take pictures because we're tourists. The guy at the counter yells at us to close the door I said "okay, they're just taking a picture and then coming right in". For some reason his dog was in the shop?! So the dog starts heading towards the open door. And he yells again "Close the door! I don't know how many times I have to say it!" First off, so rude. I'm all about dogs, I have 3! BUT why have your dog roaming around the store if there's a chance of him running out the shop. THEN yelling at new incoming customers. Bad impression :/ read more

Me and a buddy stopped in here today. (May 15th,2020) We were just hanging out on the circle and decided we wanted to step in and buy the hottest hot sauce they have. We were only planning on buying 1 thing. The store was super clean and sanitized. The worker ( i forget his name) was super awesome and showed us all the cool stuff they had. Me and my buddy ended up spending over $200! We had such a great time. The guy gave us some sampling spoons and talked to us about all the products they have. We literally were only going to spend $20 at most but we were loving the dude working and loving all the different products! I highly recommend the place. We asked him his name but i totally forget what it was. He definitely needs a raise though! Love the store and love the products!!! We arrived right at closing time and said we'd just come back the next day. The wonderful BRITTANY (sp?) insisted that we come on in. Generally you receive subpar service from most staff at closing time, but not BRITTANY! She was very friendly, knowledgeable and eager to introduce us to their new hot sellers. (No pun intended). They had such an excellent variety of sauces, salsas and rubs. You can try all of them too. Not all are super hot with as I am a weenie! 4 is my max on the heat, but they range from 0--10. Well this place is a no-go. Ordered abt $50 worth of hot sauce for shipment to my son in MA and it never arrived!!! Called and was assured of a call back. No call back!!! Guess an employee just took the order home. First thought was well that's embarrassing. Second thought was what a bunch of jerks!!!! Oh well. This place is awesome. Being a huge fan of hot sauces and spices, it is difficult to find an actual store that carries a bunch. This place is the best Ive been to. They literally have just about everything you are looking for from mild to super hot. The service is great. They will come over and tell you about any sauce you may have a question about. They have samples of just about every sauce they have labled with the heat rating. 10 being the hottest. They also had some crock pots with sausage that had been marinated in some spices tontry as well. I will definitely be back to this location to stock up on my sauces soon! read more

The selection and originality of the sauces is very impressive. They have many different types of sauces (bbq, hotsauces, salsas) and they are very good. You can sample everything which makes choosing exciting and delicious. I haven't tasted one that wasn't good. The customer service was good except for one little thing i wanted to test out since the opportunity came along. The mat on the counter stated that if you didn't receive a receipt you got a free bottle of sauce. When the clerk rang up my transaction his computer froze and he couldn't give me a receipt. He kind of looked at me looking at the mat and then looked at me but never mentioned it. I walked away and was never told about that store policy by the clerk. I like to test store honesty and respect of their own policies, this was not respected. It's the only reason for the 4 and not 5 star. Overall, good store to buy your hot products from. read more
