Our particular favorite out of them all was their White Pizza but we also enjoyed the Meat Lovers and Supreme pizzas as well. The whole beach house was glad we gave them a try! The Deets: In a continuing search for a good pizza delivery meal this beach trip after our first try this trip did not pan out perfectly, we chose to try out a new place for us in Patronies Pizza. They do not deliver themselves but are available through DoorDash, they informed us. We chose to get all 14" pizzas, one of them their White Pizza, one of them their Supreme Pizza, and another one of Meat Lovers Pizza. Adding on some cheesy bread and mini cannolis, we locked it in. Our DoorDasher had to wait a good while for our order to get completed per app, but when it arrived we were pleased. Their pizzas have plenty of toppings per pizza, satisfying and sturdy crust (I could stand it a bit thinner/cripsier but that's just me), and each different variety tasting so good! The biggest hit of the beach house was their White Pizza, I would definitely recommend trying this one out here. The other pizzas were satisfying and tasty as well, and I enjoyed their cheesy bread. Top it off with a bit of dessert from their mini cannolis and you've got one heck of a good delivery meal for our beach trip. If they had been a bit snappier time wise in getting the order ready, these guys would be near five star territory. I'm a fan!

Bottom line: In comparison to where we usually get our Saturday arrival day pizza, the delivery…read morepizzas from Sorella yielded an OK meal at best. A very long wait for delivery (may be due to Saturday arrivals/multiple delivery orders) but the pizzas were not hot and not what we expected when delivered. Adequate tasting pizza. The Deets: We usually get pizza our first night arriving in Holden Beach and this time was not different. However, this time we decided to go with trying some place new in Sorella Pizza & Pasta (I would have preferred a pasta/meal from here but house ruled pizza, I go with the flow). Choices were made with the Hawaiian Punch 16" pizza (ham, pineapple, bacon, shredded mozzarella, tomato sauce from online menu) and the Holden Beach Hammer 16" pizza (online menu described as their "everything" with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, peppers, onions, black olives, tomato sauce). I can understand that Saturday arrival can be a busy day for restaurants doing delivery and it was explained that it would take a long while. But it was at least an hour and half or more, and the house was getting restless. The delivery person apologized for the long wait time and we appreciated that. When we opened up the two pizzas, first of all noticed they were not hot. Again, there were a lot of deliveries I am guessing but it definitely was not hot and with it being just down the road a bit, a bit disappointing. The Hawaiian Punch pizza was the one that did not really meet everyone's expectations. The crust, while thin, seemed to be a bit underdone. If I get a thin crust pizza, I do expect it to be crispy as well. Also the toppings were a bit underwhelming as well but I found the taste adequate for being hungry, I had a couple of slices. The Holden Beach Hammer pizza was more of a rectangular pizza in appearance and the crust was significantly thicker and more doughy (personally, not my favorite type of pizza crust). The toppings seemed OK but not over generous for what was described, however tasted adequate again. It may be chalked up to a very busy Saturday arrival day time, but I feel this delivery pizza experience was more around an "OK" one if anything. I am hoping to try Sorella in the future where I can get one of the Italian pasta or meal menu selections to see how they do with those.

We tried Sebby's after seeing the good reviews and ordered the $27 Grandma's pizza. Unfortunately,…read moreit was disappointing. The crust tasted like a premade frozen base, the mozzarella tasted low-quality, and the pizza was far too salty. The cheese and sauce were unevenly distributed--covering some sections while leaving others bare--and the toppings slid off the crust. For $27, I expected better. The staff were friendly, and the restaurant looks inviting from the outside. If we're back in the Oak Island area, we'd give Sebby's another try and order a regular thin-crust pepperoni pizza. This particular pizza missed the mark for us.

Roomy and not crowded table arrangements. Server was very pleasant and helpful in making choices. We skipped appetizers as we know Italian food servings are typically abundant. We ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana and the night's seafood special which had shrimp, scallops and lobster with prosciutto filled pasta in a creamy tomato brandy sauce. The food was delicious. The eggplant thinly sliced was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Served over linguine and marinara sauce. My seafood special was amazing. The shrimp were huge, plentiful amount of lobster and the prosciutto filled pasta was very good. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I'm taking a point off only because for $14 the wine pour was very light. Also, the bread which was very fresh only had 3 pieces and the dipping oil was about 2 tablespoons at best.(I know we could have probably asked for more) Solid choice for Italian food.
