We are suing them and pressing criminal charges for fraud and malicious intent. What else needs to be said to run away from this company as fast as possible? I have never seen incompetence at a level of this magnitude. Not only does this company employee a store manager and mechanics that are so inept and that have so little pride in what they do that they literally do not care if they maim or kill someone by sending out a vehicle (twice) that was unsafe, but they also commit fraud. You'd think it would end there but no, then someone at the corporate level aided and abetted the fraud trying to cover it up. You'd think it would end there and someone, anyone at the corporate level would actually read our formal company complaint and take some responsibility, but nope. I went there to get an alignment early in the morning as I was told previously the day before I could go and walk in. I went there and they took the car in right away and waited around an hour and a half just to tell me the alignment machine is not working. I was so mad my time was wasted. read more

The staff is friendly but should have read reviews that they will replace things without asking. I dropped my car off for brakes and an oil change. They called to let me know my car did need new brakes, rotors, oil change and filters. I said yes, please take care of. I returned to pay and noticed it was more than quoted. I ask the staff member to walk through the receipt with me. She did and at the bottom was $400 for a new battery. I wasn't aware I needed a new battery as mine wasn't that old and it was never mentioned but it was added. They did a great job but there are hidden cost worked in. read more

The waiting area seems clean and freak free. Free WiFi is a real plus, if you're going to be waiting for the repair to be completed. The folks have always treated me respectfully, and I don't feel gouged by their costs. It's usually also my first choice for little car goodies I suddenly discover I can't live without. read more

So I took my truck to Clayton for service at the Alafaya Trail, Waterford Lakes Location. He promised me that he would not recommend anything for my truck that he would not do on his truck. It turns out the mechanic did not listen and did a bunch of extra stuff that was expensive and not truly needed. When I when to pick it up Clayton went home. I needed my truck so I paid the bill. The next day I needed to go back because my wife's car had a screw and needed a replacement. Clayton was there. I explained my issue with the truck. Anyway, when I when to pick up the car, Mr. Clayton tossed me the keys and said have a good day. Clayton gave me a $150 tire for free. I will never take my vehicles for service anywhere else. I will call ahead and make sure my man Clayton is there before going. YOU CAN TRUST CLAYTON. HE WILL DO YOU RIGHT! read more

Made appointment online for oil change same day, as there was an appointment available, had time to wait so went to pep boys on OBT about 15 min early. Went inside, no one around. Waited about 5-10 min when JP was called from the sales side. He asked what I needed, informed him of my appointment, he said I must have just made it, no sir made it earlier this morning. He said he could not do the oil change and he would have to call and get it approved(fleet vehicle, brought fleet card and already had the approval) told me it would be a while and to wait an hour. Told him no thank you and I would find someone who wanted the work. Really felt like he just didn't want to do the job, if too much work then block off the appointments. Way overpriced. I had to wait five hours just to get a motor for the window replaced, and they ended up charging me $450. They also didn't seem very interested in the job all together and weren't very enthusiastic. They give off the impression they're just there to make money, not because they genuinely enjoy the job and being helpful. What am I supposed to do for five hours? Twiddle my thumbs? One lady actually ordered an Uber Eats while I was sitting there because she had been there even longer. read more

It's finally over as of today so I'm ready to YELP on this experience. Got the so long over due refund check in the mail. Right, one star because there is no lower level to select. Here is my "Beef" let's see if you'll gag on this serving too. Had replacement work done on my vehicle. Been hearing a noise every time the front wheels go in a low spot in the road. I replace the struts and all the shocks. At 100K, was time anyway. Only real issue I had with the work portion of this service was upon driving out, to my frustration, I still had the noise. I open the hood before leaving the parking lot for general frustrated purpose, just to inspect for the new parts. Yes, the parts were replaced and all reassembled. Well, all but one support bracket bolt. Apparently this 5/16 x 1" washer bolt had been left on the mechanics counter, assumed, because as soon as I returned and showed him the hole, he went right to his bench, grabbed the bolt and completed the job. Honest error - no problem. Hey, I have extra chit left over too some times - but that is why I hire this stuff out. But this is in no way why I'm so happy to have PeP Boys out of my life. Upon paying for this work I am asked if I would like to purchase their PEPGUARD LIMITED EXTENDED WARRANTY coverage. Humm, I ask: "How long is your (Pep Boys) work guaranteed w/o the coverage?" I'm told for 90 days. In spite of the confidence killer ex-tree parts epp e sode, I deduct and tell the Asst. Manager: " No thanks. If something done here today is going to fail, it will happen within the 90 days I'm pretty certain. Thanks, but nah, I don't want it." Wow, no rebounding "sales pressure" from the "No thanks doesn't really mean NO!" sales thinking screwl. Thank goodness! Asst Mang. rings me up. Now I've actually measured this 18" long receipt that has all kinds of breakdown printed on it. So, the asst. manager rips this mummy wrap of a receipt from the machine and he does me the favor of folding it up and stows it in their nifty "receipt envelope" provided along with all this other receipt fodder from the sale. I personally am the type that will actually watch what is being rung up -well, when the establishment provides a monitor screen for the customer to "monitor" Well, not the case at the service department registers at this PEP BOYS. I get back to the my office and next possible moment I unravel this proclamation just to vet the items line by line - as I (later learned) should have before leaving. Guess something was bothering me? Well no wonder I was not harassed for saying No Thanks! He put the PEPGUARD LIMITED EXTENDED WARRANTY coverage @ $38.99 charge on the bill ANYWAY! Wow what a set of stones this guy has?! Now I have to wait for 5:01 pm. I show up and ma-man's gone home for the day. Oh well, then the Manager gets to do the undo refund. WRONG! I'm told PEP BOYS can not refund that charge. That I have to complete a form and submit for a cancellation of the policy- He says he hates the policy, but that is Corporate Rules. I've written enough here- but believe me this process did not get easier or "Sail through" to the end. PURE BS - almost contacted the credit card to request a charge back. My receipt is dated in September and I got the check today 12-27-11. And only because I took the time to review this stupid-long receipt and would simply not let go of the I got U principle. Violate my trust one time- why would I ever give you a 2nd? Gee, I have 110K on my vehicle - don't I look like a good potential returning customer? Actually I think the employes must get some kind of "PEP-Perks" or some bonus thing with every "warranty" sold. Times are tough too. This Manager was so indifferent to the fact that his employee slipped in an unauthorized charge and the hopes you -THE CUSTOMER, has to go through to make it right. Mainly just annoyed. I called around 430 and said I just needed my wipers changed. They said alright it'll be an hour wait. No problem. I said Ill be there in 20 minutes. They say alright. Hung up. Show up at 450. They close at 6. I said hey I called. They said sorry buddy we don't have a mechanic to do it. Like what happened in the 20 minutes? It wouldn't have been annoying if they said they couldn't do it. Plus when I got there the guy started taking down my info and getting me set up. Was it something I said? Idk. women are not as dumb as mechanic think we are!!! in dec 2019 pep boys put a alternator on my truck. the alternator was over charging the battery i took it back to pep boys on 8/28/20 for a new one.. the pictures are from 9/20/20. so not only did they not change the belt in 2019 they didn't change it last month. demarqus had the nerve to tell me sometimes they change them sometimes they don't. now i'm out $91.08 for an emergency rental vehicle because i have (2) jobs.. this is gender discrimination.. what if i had been driving my vehicle when the belt broke. to put the original serpentine belt back on a 2014 is criminal. just look at the pictures. read more

These folks are Fantastic. Definitely not your run of the mill tire store. I got a quote down the street for some brake work needing to be done and they added a bunch of crap that didn't need to be done to the tune of 3100.00. These folks did the brake work and diagnosed and fixed a check engine light problem and got me out for less than 600.00. Like I said not your typical tire store. These folks have a good bunch of technicians and are a full service auto shop. read more

Made an appointment with them for 3 pm & dropped my car off for a simple oil change at 3 pm. The man at the counter was courteous & fairly professional & asked if I would like to wait & I told him I'm gonna go get some groceries and come back shortly, they said they will call me when my car is ready. 3 hours later & I still had received no call from them so I took the initiative & called & told them I was on my way back at 6 pm. When I arrived, my car was still in the parking lot where I left it, not even pulled inside the shop yet & then I was told it would by the same guy it would be *at least* another hour.....seriously guys? C'mon man ‍. I took my keys back & left as I had to be somewhere at 7. I will never let this place waste 3 hours of my time & gas again. read more

How hard is it to put a tire, especially if this is your profession. Left the Pepboys went straight home, woke up the next morning the tire was completely FLAT!! The spare had to be put on and when I took the new tire back, all they could say was, oh the technician forgot to put something (I can't remember what) on the tire. No apologies, no nothing. I would push my car up OBT pass this location to have work done somewhere. I really wish Yelp had a zero star rating. read more

The worst. Called ahead and was told there was not wait. Confirmed there was no wait upon arrival. Asked them to check weird noise and as an afterthought asked for a battery check. Two hours later, only after I went up to them, they told me I needed a new battery. Ok..what about the noise? Apparently, the mechanic was not told about it! I waited two hours for a battery check!! The mechanic did a quick look at the car and determined I needed new struts.. Costing about $600. Then proceeded to change my battery without my approval! I took the car to my pep boys on kirkman and they determined the ACTUAL problem, costing under $300. DO NOT waste your time & money at this location!! read more

I scheduled an appointment here for 9am today to get my tires replaced. They were quick to help me at the service desk and notify me that it could take a bit of time since only one mechanic was on duty. Now, I chose to drop off my car and I think that was my mistake. Because I did not receive notice it was ready until 4pm that day, which I can only assume to mean that my tires were not put on during their scheduled appointment time. Regardless of being seemingly understaffed, the staff was super kind and helpful. The cost matched the quote online and they were able to offer me some discounts that actually made the cost lower than I anticipated. read more

We were at Pep Boys on 7750 South Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, FL. A Hispanic person named Fernando with goatee (we believe that was his name - about 5' 7" and age in late 20's or early 30's) helped us. He was trying to be pretty nice at first. Then when he found out that we were there for a minor service, his service attitude changed and became a very rude person and intentionally delayed to provide our service (he also tried to convince us to get other costly services which we didn't take). We waited and waited over 2 hours for our service to be done while watching others (quite a few of them) complain about services there. Watch out !!!!!!!! for the guy named Fernando. This guy is very sly and rude. He may trick you at first. But please be-careful. Later I did some research and regret that I should have researched before I go to Pep Boys at 7750 South Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, FL. because there were some reviews that help people to avoid that certain location. Last update on this debacle of a tire experience. After complaining on Twitter, I eventually was contacted by this store's General Manager, who was apologetic. He said that they wanted to replace all four tires, and when I came in, if I called ahead, I would be a priority. I called ahead, showed up when I said I would, and saw my tires already waiting for me. I dropped my car off, and the person checking me in confirmed my phone number, and then quoted me a wait time of two to three hours. "Ugh, here we go again," I thought to myself. I called my girlfriend to pick me up so I didn't have to wait in the waiting room for 3 hours. Forty-five minutes later, I get picked up and head down the road to Costco for lunch. At this point, my car is on the rack, all four wheels had been taken off the car, and one tire has already replaced, and the driver's front wheel had just been put back on with the new tire mounted and balanced. On the way to Costco, we stopped off at the Florida Mall to see if they had a particular collectable we wanted. I then spent another 30 minutes chatting with friends at the Apple Store Florida Mall. Then, we drive down the road and take a leisurely lunch at Costco. I stopped off at Subaru and test drove a car there. Then we headed up to Theme Park Connection, because I hadn't yet gotten a call saying my car was done. It had been over two hours since we had left! After another 45 minutes at TPC, I was frustrated and had my girlfriend drive me back to Pep Boys, where my car was sitting on all four wheels. I noted that thankfully, this time four new tires were on the car, unlike last time. But it had been three hours since I had left, almost 4 hours since I dropped the car off. I never got a phone call. And if a four-hour-wait-time is indicative of being a priority, I'd hate to be a regular customer! When I went to pick up my car, I mentioned I did not get a phone call, and was told my car "must have JUST been finished." When I was getting my keys back, the woman asked one of her coworkers "What do I do here?" and it was Bill (from my original update) who replied in a snappish, angry manner "The MINI? Just give him the keys. Just give him the keys." I would not spend a dime here. My new tires could go flat in their parking lot and I'd pay money to get towed anywhere else, to spend more money on tires. read more

I went into my local store in Orlando on 8-30-17 to get new brakes. I wanted them to install the Power Stop Truck & Tow package on both the front and rear. K2798-36 I arrived and was told they didn't have it on hand but they would put comparable parts on my Jeep. Now I am sitting in a different Pep boys because my front brakes are profoundly squealing. Their recommendation is to replace the cheap metallic pads and resurface the rotars for roughly $575! read more

Totally love this place they are very honest and very good with price let me start by telling you i first started having problems with my steering. It made a clicking noise every time i would turn i was by goodyear on south john young hwy. So i went there they said i needed a new gear in where the steering shaft is so they did the work about one hour the bill came to 1700 dollars what could i do i have to steer right well a couple days went by and it did the same thing again i went to pepboys they said in order to fix it they had to do the whole front end steering i explained to the guy what goodyear did and they told me i payed alot of money i should take it back so i did after they fixed it again one month later it happened again this time i took it to pepboys and they agreed to fix it not only did they fix the whole front witch i stayed there and watched them two mechanics worked on it for seven hours honestly i was watching them all new parts everything and the bill 599.00 dollars total i couldn't believe it yes it took awhile longer but i would rather wait then die from the half assed goodyear on south john young orlando pepboys on south Orange blossom trail is the only place that is going to touch my car from now on thank you again pepboys all in all for a 600 dollar job it cost me 2300 dollars thanks to goodyear. read more

We are from out of town and our car was running hot. We took it to Pep Boys on Orange Blossom Trail and was more than pleased with our experience. The Service Manager, Tim, was very professional and helpful. He introduced us to his mechanic Tom, and Tom was able to explain the problem with our car, and advised us on what he needed to do to get our car back on the road. He completed the work within a very reasonable time, and our Service Advisor Angelo informed us on Pep Boys Warranty and Reward program. Although having to dish out money on car repairs can be frustrating, Tim,Tom and Alfredo helped turn my frustration into satisfaction. I highly recommend this Pep Boys! read more

Great work. Great prices! Great friendly and very professional staff. I am the average "do it yourself" guy and I drive an old car - I look for parts and places to fix my car every couple of months. I am done looking now. I went to pep boys on obt and sand lake and I got all the help I needed. They had my car hooked to a computer and told me what precisely was causing the misfiring of the engine. They had the parts I needed at very affordable prices. Alfredo, Tim and Marc gave me helpful tips and answered all the questions I had. All in a timely manner. Having a free afternoon I drove my girlfriend's car up there so they could fix the alignment and brakes. Thank you guys! Great work! I made an appointment and fine they took my car right away. Of course there was no waiting. I went for a battery change which they did quick and after they were done they parkes my car. But it wasn't 30 mins later they gave it back to me and it was because I asked for it, they "forgot" to tell me it was ready. Once I left and went driving on Sand Lake my car started to make a weird noise and started like pulling the car until it stopped working almost in the middle of the road, I managed to pull over. After mins of trying to turn on my car I went back and I claimed what happened. When the mechanic came back he said they "forgot", yes again forgot to put a piece and that's why it was doing that. Seriously??? How can you forget an important process? Another thing the manager on duty at that time, it was a Friday at 5pm was EXTREMELY rude with other customers, I heard him raising his voice many times to customers, luckyly he wasn't to me. After all that process of waiting, again with no people I ledt the place almost at 8pm. One last thing, there was only one guy waiting for his car to get checked he didn't have an appointment and we got there at the same time because I saw him pulling over with a tow truck, and his car wasn't checked until almost 7pm when again nobody was there only me, and there were more than 5 mechanics, can we call them LAZY... Very nice people ... but I cannot recommend at all. I took three of my vehicles there and each one they messed up. I have had to take cars back multiple times. My Toyota I took back 4 times. The 2nd to last "fix" they did caused the car to break down in the middle of the road with my wife and children in the car. They keep missing things that should have been included in the initial repair. My Infiniti they broke the wire harness during the tune up. For over a month they have been promising to have their insurance pay for Infiniti to repair the $2,000 plus damage they caused... but still no call .. I have called over 12 times. I will be calling my attorney soon if they do not call me by next week. By they way ... they work on commission so the more they sell you the more they make. Stay very far away. I have spoke to many people at work about Pep Boys and have heard so many similar bad stories. read more
