This driver needs to be off the road!!! I was bringing an elderly couple to their senior dwelling after lunch and saw this compact car took up nearly the entire driveway blocking my entry. I motioned the driver to move to her side so I may proceed - no response. After a second attempt, I got out of my car and went to her to tell her she was on my side and asked her to move to the right a bit to allow me entry. The driver said, and I quote, "just back out to the street, I'll wait" then started to roll up the window. She also had an elderly rider seated at the passenger seat. I took several photos and she actually smiled and waved. What an arrogant, rude and unprofessional jackass. read more

Driver in car #111 seems really popular already in the comments... her cars been parked on my street for about 45 mins with a small crying dog in there and it's driving me insane... and none of the phone numbers on the car or interment seem to be working... extremely Mickey Mouseish read more

TRAVELERS - BEWARE OF ROAD-RAGE DRIVERS FROM PEOPLE'S TAXI! I've not used this transportation provider before but after this past Sat's experience sharing the road with one of their drivers, I highly recommend staying away unless you're on a suicide mission! It was Sat afternoon at about 3PM. I was heading west on the 210 FWY and exiting the off-ramp of Lake Ave. Mid-way up the ramp, I signaled to go over 1 lane to the left so as to a make a left turn at the light. From behind me, this big white van charged towards me almost clipping me had I not pulled back into my lane. After passing me, he threw out a middle finger. I followed him, and took down his license plate ID, cab# and phone number: Cab# 108 License# 8W60374 Perhaps he saw me with my cell camera up taking a picture, he tried to pull away as fast as possible. He dashed for a quick left turn onto Lake and made an immediate right at the next red light without stopping. I happened to be on my way to Linden's Optometry and thus was able to witness such erratic driving behaviors. I've reported this bad driver to their 800 number: 800 505 2227. Hope they take appropriate actions, and not tolerate this type of unsafe driving practices!!! read more

Wow, I have not used this company's service, but I can see that the drivers need some lessons. Posting a pic of this taxi "driver" who committed like six violations within the past 15 minutes. Speeding, cutting people off, tailgating, running a red light. I just had to snag a photo. There was no one in the car, so I just assume he was delivering a Domino's pizza or something. I sure won't be dealing with this company. read more

People's Taxi - Speeding, cutting people off, running a red light. Car #117 - Taxis Near Me - Glendale, California

I've used this service before, running from the train station in Glendale to home because none of the LA cab services pick up in Glendale. Probably six times, incident-free. Quick, friendly, safe. This week, I had a driver that would repeat specific directions, then do something else entirely. TWICE, he tried to get on unnecessary freeway on-ramps, and when I yelled, he would make a dead stop, then turn around on the on-ramp. Yeah, not too dangerous. The second time, he followed that move up with going into oncoming traffic. Once I got home alive, I called the cab company every day to speak with a manager and file a complaint. Four messages later, not one return phone call. I don't believe one driver should represent an entire company, but the manager sure the hell does. And that is the reason I'll never use this company again. read more

I have to listen to morons laying on their horns all day long every day of the year. These drivers are no exception. Instead of just pulling up next to a waiting passenger this morning the jerk driver had to honk his horn first. AHOLE............. read more

This is the last time I use this taxi service. Long story short, my keys were taken at a park where my child was playing. While scouring the entire place to find my keys and ask around in 100 degree weather -- I finally decided I needed to call a cab and have them take me home to get my spare key and back. Never mind that I had an 11 year old sweltering with me. I assumed that he would turn the air on -- so I began to roll the window up. "Why did you roll up the window?" I said "aren't you going to turn on the air"? He said "no, it is not that hot".. I looked at him with sweat pouring down mine and my child's face, and I said "It's 98 degrees" He said "so keep the window down" I said "it's like a heater? I'm paying for a ride in this cab the least you can do is make your customer comfortable"... He looked at me and said "no".. My only regret was not having memorized his name and ID number, so if you come across him in Pasadena (he drives a blue people's taxi van) - you can be assured of the absolute rudest service ever. And no, I didn't tip him. read more

I was on the freeway and the driver of car 120 was tailgating me and as I was trying to change lanes he thought I was going to slow doing so. He honked while I was in the midst of changing lanes and somehow made a dangerous maneuver to cut in front of me and still kept honking. I was observing him from a distance and he was swerving in and out of lanes while tailgating other vehicles. How is such a driver allowed to maintain a license? I would not be surprised if he was driving illegally! He is a danger to his customers and to society. Not to mention a liability for the company that he works for read more

Most of the drivers for People's Taxi are wonderful, they know the way to where ever you want to do, and are prompt and courteous. When they had a real dispatcher and not a computer, everything was a lot better. Someone had reported the driver with the snake stuff in his car - and I had the same experience with him, but he's not a Glendale driver, and all the Glendale drivers know about him - and don't like him. One the drivers that I get a lot said he had reported him, and action was taken. That's a good thing. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the computer dispatch. I like the real person much better! read more

I have always had a very pleasant experience using this taxi service. Many of these negative reviews posted here have comments that are childish at best and pretentious and even mean-spirited at worst. Do you know how difficult a job being a taxi driver is, let alone how potentially dangerous, and all the time eeking out a subsistence income? Try putting yourself in their shoes and have some empathy. Empathy is what separates humans from the rest of the animal species. read more

I've had only 1 very bad experience with their dispatch person up until today when the driver was just rude and very short with me. Too bad there's no screening process for their personalities and people skills but being a very small company I can see how that happens. I really need to use the bigger and more known companies. read more

I have just had the worst experience riding with these guys, I ride taxis often and I have used Peoples a great may times. Most of the drivers are professional and even cordial. The Taxi I got was 111, and the driver's meter was jacked up so a ride that should have costed about 36 bucks with tip ended up being about 50! I asked him about it, and he said it was not his fault, "it is company". Watch the meters carefully Yelpers, and avoid Taxi 111 like the plague. read more

Beware of the Snake..... My husband and I took a cab ride from Pasadena to Glendale. We were shocked when the fare TO Pasadena cost $42 while the cost BACK was only $24. Same exact distance, dramaticly different fare amount! To make a long and frustrating story short, beware of the People's Taxi cabbie that sports lame snake paraphernalia in his taxi (i.e. Rattle snake covered door locks & snake attached to the rearview mirror). He is in his mid- late 40's and I think he is Armenian. After several attempts to speak with People's Taxi management to report this cabbie, I pretty much got nowhere and gave up. Be safe and watch out for this snake! read more

Their BEST driver is taxi 147 ! he was VERY VERY professional and friendly. He really tries to put a smile on your face and every time he gets me where i need to on time! read more

CAUTION, they are not a 'People's' Taxi!! My car's battery died and we needed to get to a meeting. We were a mere 3 blocks away from where we needed to go. The driver got there and was not very communicative to begin with. The fare was a mere $4.75 and I gave him a One Dollar tip. I was in the company of an elderly person, I don't know what he said under his breath, but he just could not wait for us to get out of his cab. He never 'Thanked" me for payment and quickly sped away as soon as my elderly companion was out of the cab. The driver could have been happy to have gotten the fare and an opportunity to now get a futture fare.and good will. BTW - we took a bus to get back to the car after the meeting. read more

On 12/22/2014, I had my last straw with this company. I tried calling early in the morning to get picked up in Pasadena area for a ride to BUR airport. I called the dispatch number and waited 15 minutes and never got a dispatcher before the system dropped me. Then ANOTHER call and another 15 minutes without any dispatcher. Just all the pre-recorded blather about how good the company is and how focused it is on service to customers. NOT. I ran out of time and finally got in my car and drove myself to BUR, which is a real bummer since my flight back will be to LAX. I was not previously an Uber member. I have just registered and I will not use this taxi company again. Dave R read more

Haha! I got the same guy. He also told me to get my shit together b/c the address I gave doesn't have a close cross-street and hung up on me. Called the manager and she didnt give a shit. Called another taxi service, no problem. They're just f-ups. read more

The driver got is to Hollywood from Glendale for under $30. Ignore the reviews. Give this place more business.

I don't even think they deserve one star - the driver who was apparently angry because the distance was short - complained all the way to my 15 year old daughter who had taken the taxi and drove like a crazy person while he was complaining. Never use this taxi service - never never - read more

Today July 31, 2015 at around 9:50 pm in the evening I contacted People's Taxi, request for a pick up at 928 N Summit Ave Pasadena Ca 91103 cab driver 511 from Yellow Cab, answered my call, is extremely rude, always saying "Give me money", first hand before anything, he doesn't know how to follow direction's, he tells me to shut up, he wouldn't let me out of the cab, was treating me like a hostile, I had to jump to the front seat passanger side door just to exit the vehicle because he wouldn't let me out, and we weren't at destination we had one more place to go, he speeds scared me being the passenger, didn't come to a complete stop nor did he ever make a stop and let me out, like a regular cab driver would do. This was one of the worst hostile situations I have ever been in, my life, really embarassing, disguisted by this cab driver who talks over every direction I give, I hae to excessively repeat myself, sorry but ugly humans are just not meant to be employed. read more

waited for 2 hours for a taxi car to show up after calling the dispatcher 5 times. each time saying the driver was 2 miles when wasn't true. then they tried the can't locate a car for us. Poor services all around including management. read more

WARNING! DO NOT NOT NOT NOT USE THEM! When the driver came to pick us up, he was smoking in his car. When we said, why are you smoking, he blamed it on his last passengers. It clearly states in car 5353 No Smoking! Instead of apologizing, he started yelling at 7am in front of our house, not only annoying neighbors but making sure that everyone saw we were leaving town. He picked the wrong person to fight with for sure. Not used to having a strong woman (with equal rights) approach him. We asked him to call a new cab for us and he pretended not to speak English now. We were going to be late, so we rolled down the windows and put our two 5 year old sons in the back and held their noses the entire time. It was disgusting!!! But, it doesn't end there. We called the company and spoke to Ilsa who promised to have someone call us back. We have called 3 times now and the person won't call us back. We will not stop until we are heard! Do NOT use them. There are plenty of good companies who appreciate your business! SHAME ON THEM!!!!! read more
