We were moving into a new home that had no hot water. We purchased a new hot water heater and burner from Automatic Heating Equipment in Providence, RI. We contacted our planned oil company (Petro), which we were planning to use for oil delivery, to install the new system. I explained that I had the tank plumbed in and just needed someone to install the burner. They said even though it was brand new heater and burner in the box, because they didn't provide it, they would not install it. We scrambled around and found Bill's Heating. I explained the situation to Bill over text and the urgency. Bill's technician Eric came out the next day and had us all connected and tuned-up. Bill's Heating Service is a hidden gem of business! They were incredibly responsive, friendly, thorough, and very very reasonably priced. I honestly can't say enough good things about this business. They solved a stressful situation of no hot water, so we could focus on packing and our move. I highly recommend Bill's Heating Service. A+++ service. Thank you!!!

It's refreshing to work with a company that's honest, knowledgeable, and focused on fixing the problem instead of selling you something you don't need. DuPuis send a different technician who said the previous technician did not clean the boiler correctly and he showed me why he said that. He also documented it. DuPuis never billed me for the service on August 12th. On October 27th my boiler didn't start. I called DuPuis and the service manager told me that they won't support my boiler anymore unless I buy their oil. I told them I would find someone else. 3 days later, which was 80 days from the corrective service they did on August 12th, I get a bill. My first bill for this service with net 20 terms. On November 5th they send me a statement that included two months of a late fee, for a bill I didn't even have during that time. The late charges are fraudulent. They did shoddy work on my boiler and after it polluted my house and almost killed me, they want me to pay for them to re-clean and properly adjust my boiler because I wouldn't let them extort me into buying their overpriced oil. On August 12th I would have paid the bill had they presented me an invoice as per usual, but assumed they didn't because their poor work necessitated the August 12 service call. If they were going to bill me with terms of Net 20 for the work they did on August 12th, they should have billed me on August 12th, not 80 days afterwords because I refused to be extorted. For them to charge me late fees for two months I wasn't billed is criminal. They should be audited to see what other unethical business practices they employ.

Initially I was told to get the $ from the customer myself. What??!!?? After writing a professional business letter acknowledging my mistake, the response was not businesslike, insufficient and bordered on rude, lacking an explanation why the refund requested was short $250. Upon next communication as I believed they still had more of my money, their response was "I won't hold my breath for a letter of apology from you." They included a copy of a statement which alleged this sum had been returned to my bill pay provider. That should have come with the refund they had sent. He worked hard to get us a price we could afford and we finally pulled the trigger. All of the employees are timely, respectful, and friendly. They treated us and our property with respect, as they laid down cloth tarps in every room that they were working in. They were upbeat and positive the whole time. They even responded well to some last minute changes on both sides. Payment was easy, half before, half after. They were even able to upgrade us at the last minute for no additional charge. I wish every contractor experience could go this way, lord knows we've had some nightmares. Lastly, they stand by their work and told us to call with any problems or questions, and for service down the road. From A to Z, these guys are the best HVAC company around. FYI---We ended up having a leak in one of the condensation lines, looks like a bit of a hasty install on that one, but they sent someone out right away to fix. Tried to follow up with Kyle regarding rebates, I didn't realize that you had to send them in right away, or that you needed to look on the side of each unit for the bar code. I never heard back from Kyle on that, would have appreciated some better communication there on how to go about that process. It's not as easy as one might think. Doesn't change my rating and I'll use them again. More of a point to note and maybe a suggestion for the company.
