You'll never see the same doctor twice because they never stay. I met with some terrific doctors at this practice (Dan, Shannon, Jen), the sad reality is that the dysfunctional managers/ staff make it impossible to retain decent doctors. I was on my 3rd doctor, Jennifer Johnson (she is AMAZING) however like all those before her, she no longer works there. I only found out Dr. Johnson had departed when I tried to book a follow-up appointment. As per usual, the receptionist was cagey with me, never disclosed that my Doctor was no longer working there. Never did they think to communicate this to patients, who pay $1,300/ yr in membership fees. I've been through this THREE times in three years.

I signed up, saw a doctor (Dr. Ryan) the same day. She was quite smart and spend 20 minutes just talking with me about my lifestyle before anything else. Then we spent another 20 minutes talking about my cold, tests we could do and ways I can improve my health. My appointment lasted almost an hour and I left feeling great that I finally have a doctor 1) I love and 2) I don't have to worry about the insurance game to see her. Guaranteed same day or next day appointment so none of the 3 month wait time nightmare that was my primary care insurance. She suggested a gym membership (they have a trial with CAC) and then asked if I needed help being accountable. She is checking in on me the next time I'm in. I've been back twice for various things and have had an absolutely amazing experience.

She has taken care of me and my family since then. Dr Seigfried's nurse Kristine is by far the best in the building! She and dr seigfried are genuine, kind, gentle and treat you like family. The reason I am putting this some what poor review is because of a recent encounter with the family practice department reception desk. Specifically Gwen, my husband needed an rx picked up and I was told to pick up at foothills location. Well by the time I arrived and realized it was supposed to be broadway it was 4:45. I had asked the receptionist Julie if she wouldn't mind calling the broadway location to let them know I'm on my way but to leave it downstairs to be picked up at urgent care. Well the phones were turned off as if the facility was closed... Julie the very nice and helpful receptionist at foothills was very unhappy that she even could not get through on the phones so she went in the back and figured out how to get through. When she did finally reach someone she was told that wasn't an option and that I would have to pick it up the following day. The thing is my husband was in need of this medication and could not wait until tmrw. Julie was very frustrated and handed the phone to me and I discussed the importance to Gwen over and over again. She ended up asking for advice from someone still in the office. She returned with "I can do this just this one time but in the future this will not happen!" I understand this but it was not my fault I was told the wrong location and it was not my fault that she turned the phones off at a quarter till 5! Absolutely unprofessional to turn the phones off to a dept that is supposed to be open until 5PM!!!!! I tried to call on my way to check and it kept circulating prompts! I am very very disappointed and very unhappy with this situation. If I had never been to the BMC I would have given 1 star.

My husband called to get a new PCP and they said sorry we don't have any available for you! He's been with them for 20years! So now he is left with finding another PCP, he found his old one at UC Health in Denver. I left meself and found a Direct Primary Care Physician, she is brilliant and I can contact her whenever I want or get a prescription filled the same day, all for 1 cost. BMC is atrocious the way they treat patients and loyalty.

Dr. Luce practices "functional medicine" which means he blends science-based medicine with a focus on diet, lifestyle, and alternative modalities to achieve maximum wellness (not just "take this pill to get over your sickness"). I was largely healthy but had a few nagging issues like a general sluggishness. Dr. Luce offered to try to work within the confines of my insurance or expand we would do based on my checkbook. Since I generally don't spend a lot on health care, I decided to turn him loose. More than a half-dozen tests and a regimen of supplements plus a strict zero sugar diet later and my life is transformed! Seriously. I have never been a morning person but now I'm chipper when I first wake up. My mind is firing on all cylinders all day. I actually start feeling tired at a more normal 10pm instead of my old friend "insomnia". My general mood has been elevated to almost manic levels (but not quite, I still feel well grounded). I've tried all kinds of supplements throughout my life and this is the first time I've felt a big difference. My wife says she can see it just in how I carry myself. Your mileage may vary. I think I got lucky in that Dr. Luce was able to clearly figure out what I needed from my tests. Those tests and supplements weren't cheap and very little was covered by insurance. I had an immediate response to the supplements (literally over night). The long-term plan is to redo the tests and start reducing the supplements and modifying my diet. If you have the opportunity to work with Dr. Luce, try it!

When I began going to her practice early in 2006, I had a real horror of doctors' offices. My anxiety level would go through the roof when making an appointment and, as for actual exams, well, you know... About the latter I will say only that even in the most thorough exams, she is gentle. It is possible to be handled as if one is just another piece of human meat, so I appreciate that nothing in my experience with Dr Browne or other physicians in her practice is remotely like that. What impressed me first about Dr Browne is her cheerful, down-to-earth demeanor. This is not a physician who deigns to see you at her convenience. Rather, she is warm, welcoming, and tends to run awfully close to ON TIME. And yet I have never felt rushed by her. Go figure. In the past four years, I've had several matters that required tending by her and I have a chronic condition for which I see a couple of specialists. She is knowledgeable, up-to-date, diligent about research when needed, and she seems to play nicely with other physicians in terms of sharing information and paying attention to what she receives from them. It reassures me that she is both experienced and up-to-date; those qualities are sometimes mutually exclusive. One last, crucial point about Dr Browne. She is a listener. She does not interrupt and she does not have one eye on the door. She pays attention and she takes notes and she remembers things, or at least later is able to refer to notes that are obviously thorough. In my experiences with the office staff and P.A., they have seemed competent, efficient, and friendly. From my knowledge of Dr Browne's way of practicing as an internist, she deserves every accolade she has ever received.

If you need an ophthalmologist in Boulder, I *highly* recommend Dr. Donald McCormack! In fact, he…read morewill *save* your eyesight - at least he did mine. Here's my story: I went to a different eye doctor in a different part of town, because I had flashes and floaters in one of my eyes. He correctly diagnosed a PVD (posterior vitreous detachment) and while in and of itself PVDs are common in my age group, he told me to call if I had either lots of flashes or "a veil coming over that eye," as that could be a sign of my retina detaching and that is very serious - serious enough that if it happened on the weekend I was to go directly to the emergency room. On Friday I woke up and had a symptom that I *thought* could qualify as a 'veil' but I wasn't positive so when it didn't go away I called his office in the early afternoon, told the receptionist what was going on, and she said she would have someone get back to me. Well, guess what. They *never* called, and by the time I realized they hadn't called it was a few minutes after 5:00. I thought maybe what I had described on the phone hadn't sounded serious to them and thought about just trying again on Monday, but something told me that maybe it was serious, so I called again, just in case, and got the answering service who said the on-call doctor would get back to me. Well, it turns out that all of the ophthalmologists in the Boulder area cover for each other, so instead of another doctor in the same practice, it was Dr. McCormack who called me back. "Yes," he said, "what I was experiencing *was* potentially serious," and he really should see me that very night. As in, within a few hours. Dr. McCormack met us, at 9pm on a Friday night, at the locked building, let us in, opened his office, examined my eye and...whoa! I had a big tear in my retina and it was very serious! Ordinarily it would have required immediately going to the hospital so he could use the laser to try to repair it, but in another stroke of luck (the first being that it was Dr. McCormack on call), that laser had just been moved to the Boulder Medical Center offices the previous week! He performed the procedure on the spot. And that other doctor's office? They didn't contact me again until *Tuesday*! If I'd have waited for them to call me, the odds are very good I would have lost vision in that eye. I have a background in two different medical professions myself, and all I can say is that Dr. McCormack is incredible - he's straight-forward, very competent, and generally wonderful. He has my undying gratitude!

No questions, not even if I'd had any trauma to my head, and when I tried to bring such incidents up he dismissed my effort. Not only did he make me feel like he couldn't be bothered with my troubleshooting and conerns, but he only checked the damaged eye. He didn't even take a simple look to see if the other one was effected or was healthy. And then I got billed for a full exam!! I left there not confident in his advice and went for a second opinion. The second doctor gave me a much more comprehensive, modern exam, and took the time to explain questions and treatment.
