I've come in a couple of times, since Ive been visiting my aunt, who lives nearby. Anthony the barista, is a nice guy and attentive. It's the year of the Labubu's! Haha! Well, if you can't get your hands on a Labubu doll, how about a Labubu mini cake?? My nephew and niece are July birthday celebrants, so I ordered them Labubu cakes from PEONY located in Silverado Ranch! The cafe specializes in bubble teas, coffee, and fruit drinks, but they also have a great selection of cakes on display. I ordered the Labubu cakes 5 days in advance and they were ~$22 each (about the same cost as a doll!). I chose the color brown/chocolate cake and pink/strawberry cake. These cakes were a hit at the party. Everyone wanted to take photos of these monsters, and of course, a bite! I will say these cakes were fragile, so you must take great care when transporting them from the cafe. As you can see from the photos, I was a bit clumsy in handling them so they look a bit contorted. I also tried a Yuzu Yuzu Refresher, which made for a perfect drink in this Vegas heat! Cute New Shop - Worth Supporting This little shop has only been open for about 3 months, and it's super cute! We tried a unicorn macaron--it was fun to look at, though the texture was a bit harder compared to other macarons I've had. I ordered the matcha strawberry with oat milk, and I liked that it wasn't overly sweet. The puppy paw jelly was cute but a bit underwhelming at $1 each. They have a lot of drink topping options compared to other places. I got the strawberry matcha latte with oat milk strawberry coco jelly at 75 percent sweet. Sweetness was perfect once ice melted a bit. I've had strawberry blends and matcha that were a bit more to my liking. However over all I still enjoyed the drink. The mango tirimisu was more like a tres leches cake, which I find tends to be a common theme at a lot of Asian dessert spots. They have beautifully decorated pastries and I did enjoy the Teddy Mousse Cake, but the strawberry milk boba tea had little to no strawberry flavoring. I wanted some boba and decided to try a new place. Found Peony on Yelp, it was close to where I was. It's on Bermuda and Silverado, easy parking. There were 3 other customers there on a Saturday afternoon and I was greeted right away by a male who said he would be right with me. He was working on an order. After about 6 minutes he apologized for the wait. I could see he was busy being by himself, and the wait didn't bother me. He took my order shortly after and was super friendly. The place is nice; small with a few tables and places to sit; fun spots to take pics. They had desserts in the display case but it looked a little sparse, especially the macarons. They have the cutest dessert called "sleepy bear mouse" (see picture). I wouldn't be able to eat it, with it being so adorable! I ordered a Thai Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Boba. I asked for a little less sugar, which was a mistake. It was ok but it was barely sweet. I should have been more specific or just not have mentioned. The boba was great so that's a plus. I like the variety of drinks. The lady in front of me ordered a Pandan Coconut Phin Drip. I don't know what it is but it sounded good. I have driven by this place and love a locals, small business coffee shop of any kind! I wanted a gluten free treat option and so I selected from their macarons, which were individually wrapped (a nice touch). I also got a slice of caramel cheesecake. The service was prompt and friendly. I usually like to take in a coffee spot fully by bringing a book, a journal, a friend or all of the above. We offered to go somewhere else but the owners Sean and Lee (I hope I spelled that right. ) offered to serve us and let us stay. We chose a slice of Mango Tiramisu and the Tres Leches cake. Was looking for some Mochi doughnuts in the area and Bobazzing LV popped up in my search. We decided to swing by this place before picking up dinner at a restaurant just up the street. Then I realized that this space used to be occupied by a cafe that sold açaí bowls and smoothies, which I visited many years ago. Though we were only in search of Mochi doughnuts in general, I immediately knew that I also had to get a boba drink. There were so many options, it was hard to choose just one. I had to choose whether I wanted a drink with fruit or a drink with coffee. I ordered a coffee milk tea with green tea and with boba added in of course. We also ordered two Mochi doughnuts each for the both of us - two churros for me and two Oreos for my boyfriend. The cashier was a little confused about how many we actually wanted until we had to explain to her a little further that we wanted two churro Mochi doughnuts and two Oreo Mochi doughnuts. The drink was good but at the same time it was a bit of a challenge to drink out of. Like the vacuum between the straw and the inside of the cup was too tight. The churro Mochi doughnut was delicious and had that excellent soft chew to it, with the Oreo Mochi doughnut having the same thing. As someone trying ti cut back on sweets these days, I think that Mochi doughnuts are a healthier alternative to regular doughnuts. Came across an ad on social media that a new boba spot opened near me so I decided to check it out. Boba Zzing is located off of Silverado Ranch and Bermuda. The shop is brand new so everything inside still looks cleans and well kept. I ordered a brown sugar milk tea and a banana milk tea. Brown sugar milk tea is a 1 out of 5 for me. There was no taste at all. It was like I was drinking semi-sweet milk with hard taro balls. Banana milk tea is 3 out of 5. At least this one actually had flavor, but again the boba was hard.
