She was a WWII veteran, so all I had to do was fax them her separation papers, and they arranged with the American Legion to have her buried with full military honors, as she had so wanted. Everything from getting the death certificate, planning the service and transporting our loved one, felt like a burden at a time of tremendous grief. Overall, the customer services were inconsistent and disorganized, and the funeral experience could've been better managed. The level of care we received did not begin to approach the $11,000 we paid. I recommend the business be sold to a new owner who understands customer service.

They overlook downtown Topeka and the capitol to the west about 20 blocks away and it provides a nice serene vista. Vice President and Topeka's favorite son Charles Curtis is buried here - VP for Herbert Hoover 1929 -1933. The highest ranking Native American to serve the US government, ironically graves of those that fought against Native Americans in the Indian Wars are also buried nearby. Many Civil War soldiers and veterans are laid to rest here also.
