First, they refuse to unbox the casket of choice for the family stating that they only unbox the casket of their preferred suppliers leaving the family to ask others in the area to unbox and return an unsatisfactory casket to the preferred vendor. This is a simple item that could have been resolved with a phone call but apparently a phone call bites into the bottom line. A gravesite casket seal couldnt be dealt with without persuasion from a grandchild of the deceased which was a simple matter to fix. I guess Jake didn't feel that he was paid enough to fix it... pretty pathetic in my opinion. Gus runs a good business but it is unfortunate that a worthless heir is left in charge at times. The fact that the small things are extremely important to the family seems lost on them and profit is all that matters is the feeling one is left with. In short, if Gus is in charge it should be alright. If Jake is in charge, demand a refund. He does not bare at all about the family. I hate posting a bad review about anything, especially when it is about the funeral of both of my parents, but this was a pathetic experience and I would strongly suggest anyone go elsewhere when deciding on services for their loved ones. I was extremely disappointed and I am not one that is difficult to please.

Then in February 2020, we visited the Topeka Home Show for interior design ideas. We saw Muddy Creek Ironworks and visited the booth to see if this was a possibility. We are so pleased that we made that decision. Bill Roene was interested in our ideas for the design of the wrought iron railing for our front porch and steps. As luck would have it, we were delayed in developing a plan with Bill because of Covid virus. We finally got together early May and had a design from Bill within a few days. Bill discussed with us the design. He helped us select the color that would match and compliment the exterior of our home. The attached pictures are the lovely result. The wrought iron work adds so much to the front of our house.
