True Crew Windows and Doors

True Crew Windows and Doors

After 10 years in our house, it was finally time to replace our (already old) windows. I researched…read moremultiple companies and sat through a handful of unnecessary dog-and-pony shows before ultimately settling on True Crew. Our house is ~120 years old, and we've worked with many contractors over the years while renovating and updating. True Crew has been hands down our best experience. They were attentive to our needs, and helped guide us to wonderful new windows and front door for our house. Their communication was top notch, and when they said they were going to do something, they did it. Their pricing was extremely fair, and they didn't use the same high-pressure or gimmicky tactics that other companies used. The guys who handled the installation were friendly, prompt, and took extra care to ensure every window and the front door were properly installed. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about them. If you're shopping for windows, save yourself the sales pitches I endured and call True Crew. You won't regret it. 10 stars.

Window Man - Before and after - The metal work was masterfully done and the windows are amazing!

Rance and his company, Windowman, are simply the best at what they do -- and I say that having…read morelived long enough to know the difference. A few weeks ago, my wife and I purchased a new home with a walkout basement bedroom and an egress window. My wife claimed the room as her own, but shortly after we moved in, she discovered a wet spot in the carpeting near the window. I didn't know where to turn, so I consulted ChatGPT, which pointed me to Windowman. It turned out to be the best recommendation I could have received. I soon learned that Rance is widely regarded as the foremost expert in egress windows in the entire state. I called the company, and Rance reached out promptly and arranged to come by the next day. I braced myself for the worst -- a high-pressure sales pitch and a bill somewhere between $5,000 and $10,000. But Rance was unlike any contractor I've dealt with. He assessed the problem, and almost immediately told me I didn't need a new window at all -- he could repair the existing one. I was relieved. When I asked when he could do the work, he said he'd return at the end of his day to handle it himself. When I asked about cost, he told me not to worry, and we eventually settled on a price that was almost embarrassingly reasonable. True to his word, Rance returned late on a Friday afternoon and completed the repair in just a few hours. But he didn't stop there. Rather than simply fixing the problem, he had cleaned up the entire area and replaced all the surrounding metal trim, leaving the window looking and functioning like new. When I pointed out that this was far more than we'd agreed to, he said simply that he wanted the window to be as good as new -- so that's what he made it. That kind of pride in one's work is rare, and it's rarer still in the home contracting industry. What happened next is something I have never done in my 79 years: I paid him more than he asked. I couldn't, in good conscience, accept the quality of work I received for what he intended to charge me. Rance and Windowman have my highest and most enthusiastic recommendation. If you have an egress window issue -- or any window issue -- stop searching. You've already found the right person.

I would not hire this company, they also was not truthful. What was on their website was completely different from what the consultant told me. None of is was true. I told him he had to leave, his attitude was problem for me. He sucked. Companies need to know they are employing, family or not. They are here to represent your company, which makes you look pretty bad. Your company has lost on a significant amount of money because of his sucky attitude towards me. I wonder, how many other clients were treated this way. I will never deal with this company again. That is how bad he sucked. I would not recommend this company. Now I see why you can't leave a review on their website, that has been removed. They have had alot of bad reviews. If I could rate a 0, I would.

Always professional. Price was not the cheapest, but competitive. I ultimately chose Kenny's, because of the time taken in getting precise measurements. After installation I was somewhat disappointed with the amount of silicone I could see at the joints of the rustic shower. When I called in to the company to pay the final bill, Tricia, who I had been speaking with, asked me how I liked my new shower glass. I told her how I felt and she asked for photos. I e-mailed photos right away and she asked for a little time for review. She then set a appointment for someone to come and have a look and repair if needed, advising me that it is difficult to put glass directly over travertine. To shorten this story, "guys came out on time, redid the area of concern and I'm a super happy camper". It's fair to say that if you are in business for any length of time, you will have problems, both small and large. I think the true measure of a good company is how they deal with problems, small or large, and this company is top notch in my book. I am happy to recommend them.

And this one, New Palestine Hardware, is a pretty good hardware store. They are available and helpful. They may even walk to the paint area if you say you need some special paint. I like the small town feel of this place. And they have a big sign on the front entrance door that says "Dogs Allowed" which is always a good idea. So a couple of our dogs have visited and they loved the attention! Now that I have moved into the area I have a lot to do. There is a neverending list of home improvements at my house. So, if you are in the area and need some Kilz primer, paint brushes, buckets, bags of sand, vacuum cleaner attachments, power tool blades or a slew of other materials, check out this handy hardware store.
