The U-haul employee at the front was trying to give me the available U-haul truck. Then the store manager intervened and refused to give me the available 10-foot truck saying that my truck was broken in the morning on the same day and the available truck would be given to the next customer at noon. First, the manager failed to work on the commonsense rule-of-thumb business ethics: first-come, first-get. More importantly, she conducted a favoritism on the next customer (noon reservation) over me for whatever reason may be - not excluding the possibility based on race, color, or national origin. I was tossed then to the Alcoa store 15 miles farther away to get a 10-foot truck at last. This significantly delayed my moving schedule, not to mention the unnecessary cost for the mileage for the additional 30 miles round trip plus gas cost. This frustrating experience made me brood over my ruined feeling all day. I strongly feel that I was unfairly treated by the manager who should be fired from U-Haul if this event is turned out to be grounded on her subtle aggression or discrimination on me. I will be happy to receive a U-haul's follow up response to my complaint against the manager of the U-Haul in Farragut.

I was then referred to the U-Haul location at 7630 Oak Ridge Highway--and I'm so glad I was. As soon as I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the general manager, Elah Henry. She was incredibly friendly, hospitable, and thorough in explaining how everything worked at the facility. She made the entire process--from returning my trailer to securing the perfect storage unit--simple and stress-free. Moving and relocating can be extremely overwhelming, but experiences like this one truly make a difference. I highly recommend this location and company for your moving and storage needs. I'd also like to acknowledge all the U-Haul customer representatives I spoke with by phone during my travels--they were professional, helpful, and knowledgeable throughout the process.

Approximately 8-1/2 hours following the truck arrivals at Central Karns Storage, they pulled out of our driveway empty and exhausted. Dalton, Terrell, Liston and Gage did an excellent and careful job of loading and unloading everything for our 3 bedroom house. They took direction for placement of the stuff with a smile and were very courteous throughout the day. Thank you! When I first put in the request for the job, Ken responded quickly, but so did the other companies. When I arrived to pick up the lock and find my space, Chris was very welcoming and showed me my unit and the most accessible entrances, specifically to its location. The indoor facility is clean and appears to be kept up well. Overall, so far has been a great experience.

The guys were likable, but not careful with my heirloom furniture. They ended up with lots of…read morescars and scratches that were not there before the move. I know the furniture was heavy and not easy to transport upstairs, but I saw them make simple, careless mistakes like lay a mirror, with sharp metal brackets on the back, bracket side down on an end table. The end table had a few scratches already, but nothing like what they ended up with after the move. It would of been a lot easier for them if the had taken the drawers out, and been supplied with the right equipment from the company. When I booked the move, the guy on the phone was not upfront with all the extra fees and charges. So, that was a bit of a surprise. Then, after I had paid for the agreed amount of work, the driver slipped in an extra $180.xx charge. I was refunded that charge and the guy was reprimanded. Just be sure to check. He was also the same guy who drove over my rock wall, knocking it down, after I specifically warned him not to.

It arrived with the entire pedal assembly broken off, and it's a total loss. A desk was also snapped in half. Instead of making it right, they sent a $325 "Release and Settlement Agreement" that said I'd "keep the terms... confidential" and "not write negative or disparaging statements regarding services performed." They tried to pay for our silence. I didn't sign. I would rather lose $325 than stay silent, so here's my honest review. If you own anything valuable, especially a piano, look elsewhere.

PODS are 15 miles from our house but now they don't have a driver to deliver them for 5 days past original delivery date! They did this to my daughter a few years back as well. I understand weather delays, broken truck delays, et cetera; but not willing to pay overtime to a driver to uphold their part of the agreement is unacceptable. Just prepare yourself for an additional week to wait for delivery no matter what they tell you.

We traded in my wife's Subaru, and also traded in my Jeep which still had a lien on it. After the agreed upon price we got the payoff amount on my Jeep, which the dealership was to pay within 10 days. The payment was not made by the dealer within the 14 day window my credit union had given us, so I had to make the next loan payment. I contacted our salesman at Ted Russell and he apologized and said he would straighten it out. After another period (I think about 10-14 days) they finally submitted the Jeep's payoff to my credit union. Meanwhile, per diem had continued to accrue during the delay in paying off the Jeep so I asked our salesman to have the finance guy reimburse me that amount which I wouldn't have had to pay if they had paid off the Jeep within the initial 10 days like they promised. It has now been over two months, and after many emails, texts, phone calls and even a visit to the dealership they *STILL* have not reimbursed me the money they owe me. By my estimate it is only about $30 or so, but the point is they failed in their obligation to me. I had planned on buying my next truck from Ted Russell Ford, but this experience has really soured me on their dealership so we will find a different dealership outside the Ted Russell family for our next purchase.

I left with the truck and was loading furniture when Amy from U-Haul called and said I had to move my car immediately. Well, that was not possible so I said I would be there in one hour and she hung up after saying something very inappropriate. When I returned the truck I was already irritated and was hoping that I would not see Amy but she was right there standing by my car. I said something to her that was not very kind and I feel bad about it. Her response was "You got to be f**king kidding. I come from the school of 2 rules in customer service. 1. The Customer is Always Right and 2. When the Customer is Wrong refer to the first Rule. I was wrong and I admit it but I will never go back there again and I will tell my friends.
