Wow! Went over to Slawit for a walk around and a meal. Noticed The Cookhouse Cafe had changed…read moresomewhat and decided to give it another go. We were absolutely delighted to find our new "regular" eatery. The cafe is warm, welcoming, and very clean. The food is excellent, with a very extensive menu - the usual all-day breakfasts and snack but then it goes up a notch with home-cooked casseroles and roast dinners. We had the lovely beef casserole off the Specials Board and the portions were so generous we couldn't have the pudding we had ogled on the board (Nutella bread and butter pudding). We can highly recommend the cafe and wouldn't hesitate to five it the best rating we could. It's lovely to see a local business thriving and the owners working hard to maintain standards both in the quality of food and the level of cleanliness we expect. Will be bringing friends with us next time!!!

I think this cafe is in a good location & could be great, if they changed the food menu & speed of service.
