Sporting a vast array of freshly baked goods that vary daily, it certainly fills a certain void in the area. The feature point leather-wrapped espresso machine, tiled counter, coffee bean sack wall and exposed brickwork from the factory that was previously on the site, all add to the curiosity and inviting nature of the bakehouse. There is no food menu as the dishes change daily and choices are made off what it available in the glass displays cabinets. Options typically include sandwiches, wraps, pies, pasties, sausage rolls and salads. There is also a selection of cakes and pastries for the sweet tooths. Lunch on this visit was a curried lamb pie, a beef sausage roll and an orange and pear juice. Served with a side of salad in cute metal school camp-style plates, the pastry on the pie and sausage roll instantly highlighted their freshly baked nature. Flakey and crunchy in the outside, slightly soft on the inside, it was perfection. The juice was also freshly squeezed and served in a quaint glass jar. Tucked away in the Logan Road precinct of Woollongabba, The Baker's Arms is a must visit for those in search of some fine baking.

We had some battered reef fish, calamari and chips, as well as some beautifully fresh oysters and prawns. Bart's isn't nearly as prominent as some of the fish and seafood places in Wynnum and Manly, although it's right on the Esplanade at Lota. You can't miss it but it doesn't jump out at you. I believe the menu is quite typical of any other cafe. The coffee was pretty average as well. My meal was pretty much a big breakfast with bread, bacon, eggs, sausages, potato, mushrooms and tomatoes (you can't go wrong with that combination; a very satisfying breakfast). The staff in general are pretty nice and very helpful (except for this one guy who can get slightly rude especially when dealing with potential customers without a booking and looking for a table, probably the same person referred to by @Lachlan W). The set up is casual and comfortable, music is a tad loud, but overall it's a good place to catch up for a lazy weekend brunch with friends (or well that's what we did). And as noted by quite a few people already, this place is crazy busy (we waited for 30 minutes for a table) so booking in advance or allowing extra time is advisable.

The service for the past 5 or 6 times I have been here (all during peak periods) has been seamless, and although there isn't table service and you must order at the counter, soon after you sit down you will have your beverage and not too long after that your meal. The 'Alimentari' breakfast seems a popular choice but for almost $20 I would appreciate more than just excess servings of bacon, I think I would prefer to see another egg added to the mix or some more vegetables. The coffee is great and the service is fast, give it a whirl, you won't be disappointed.

I ordered a ham and cheese croissant and a coffee and sat down on one of the limited tables (it must be busy on weekday mornings with all the suits getting a fix before work). There wasn't a long wait before my breakfast was on my table, but in the mean time I got to have a wee browse of the deli and grocery section of Alimentari. It boasted lots of great Italian cheeses, cured meats, pastas, olives, sauces and oils. It's a place I would happily trade as my pantry! I tucked into my coffee which was great. I sensed a hint of hazlenut, but I hadn't ordered any syrups in my coffee. Perhaps they'd mixed my order up with someone else's but I wasn't too upset about it- the coffee was still rich and frothy. My ham and cheese croissant was also fantastic. They pastry was beautiful and flaky, clearly fresh out of the oven that morning. When I'm in the city next and in need of some breakfast, I'll definitely give the Alimentari menu and more extensive browse. It's a fantastic little spot and the service was good. The only thing I would change is that if they had one extra staff member in the mornings, they could easily make it table service which I think would add a touch more class to the place. Overall though I thought it was lovely and a nice change to the quick stop coffee and muffin places strewn throughout the city.

He had the Beef Juan/Beef Barbacoa, and I had the Tacos de Calabacitas/Veggie taco. Oh my goodness, the veggie taco was NOM-nom! It takes a lot to impress me with vegetarian Mexican stuff, but these guys were genius having those roasted peptides in the mix -- it gave it the whooop! I am so happy that I found this place, and they have amazing prices (for Australia that is, I'm still getting used to the difference). AND they have Horchata, which is a delicious cinnamon rice water, and Jacaima, which is super refreshing. I ordered the Beef Juan, which originally came with pico de gallo and salsa verde, but substituted that for white onion, cilantro, and salsa roja (my favorite). The best part is that they even include a lime! You really can't have too much lime. After eating one taco I went for another. Can't wait to eat here again! I really really recommend this place. Best tacos around.
