Exact copies of €150 satchels... Nice work Penneys... Or is it...?!

Have they refurbished this place? Or was I just in here at a really quiet time, before the vultures swooped? I was in this Penney's for the first time in years yesterday and was quite taken aback by just how clean, tidy, streamlined, and well, damn funky the place looked. All decked out in monochrome, if the scale of the place wasn't so massive, I would nearly have thought I was in a 'normal' shop...! Even the dressing rooms seem to have been given a make-over. Block colours accenting some walls, and clean white on the others. Lots of hooks for your clothes (I like to hang the ones I've tried on one hook, and the ones that are yet to be put through that torture on the other hook. I hate putting them on the same one, wrecks the process. OCD?!) They also have built-in seats in each cubicle, and two mirrors so you can see yourself from the back / side (not necessarily always a good thing, I will admit) I have to say, I was just taken aback by the layout of this place. Everything was so well lined up and stacked, it was damn near perfect. Really nice merchandising as well, and some ultra-fashiony stock. To be honest, I've been trying to stay away from Penneys and the likes, to stop myself from spending lots of money on lots of crap, rather than lots of money on one nice quality piece. But the lure was too strong. I now have three dresses I will unlikely wear more than three times. And some cheapo jewelry and some shoes and some cream I didn't think I needed and... and... and....

There's nothing much to say, except it is excellent in all areas: - customer service is great; - returns is simple (when you have a receipt); - selection is the biggest advantage; - prices are unbeatable. Come here, if you're a girl or a guy, doesn't matter, you'll find everything and cheaply.

You can't beat a bit of penneys - uptown clothes at downtown prices. Love it! The one on mary st/henrys t across from The Jervis Centre is the best in my opinion - it's probably one of the newer stores and is huge. They have everything from mens/womens clothes to jewellery, bags, shoes, home ware and more. The stuff here is dirt cheap - now the quality isn't top notch, but you get what you pay for. Their fashions have come on in leaps and bond in the last few years, and you really wouldn't be able to distinguish it from more expensive shops on the high street

This place is kind of like old navy or something. So very cheap, and so BIG.

I used to shop in Primark a lot but the only problem is that once you buy an item, the whole world is going to have it.

Love love love this place. It's great for anything accessory-wise (the name is so misleading,…read moreright??!). So we're talking hats, bags, purses, jewellery, flip flops, head pieces etc. I find it particularly great if I'm going to a wedding or the races. I buy an outfit, head to accessorize, and customize it with some pretty bangles r maybe a brooch. It's also a great way to transform an old outfit you have in the back of your wardrobe without spending a fortune!

The jewelry, purses, hair accessories, hats, umbrellas and more are all really young, fun and pretty. There is a hefty dose of glitz here, but everything manages to avoid straying over the edge to cheesy and tacky. I find the necklaces especially nice, having fallen in love with a pretty bauble with a teeny bird in a tiny cage. Winter weather gear like scarves, hats and gloves are very, very adorable and would be a great way to keep things fashionable when you're otherwise bundled up. Upstairs they sell adorable clothes for babies and kids. The highlight is definitely the frilly, foofy fancy stuff, probably designed for flower girls in wedding parties. The only downside is that I think everything is too expensive. While the stuff is cute, I don't think it's quality enough to demand the attached prices.

It can be a very hectic time when you're expecting, but that's why Mothercare is great. They have all of that required stuff, so it's basically a one-stop baby stop, for both pre and post-natal gear. Baby clothes is but a mere fraction of what they sell here. And maybe the fashions aren't the hippest, but it's a god damn baby. It doesn't care what it's wearing so just slap a onesie with a monkey on it and move on to more important things like cribs, prams, breast pumps, car seats, soothers, high chairs, sterilizers, thermometers, literature and toys. I also love that this store is called Mothercare, not Babycare.

I went into Mothercare this evening expecting to find super cute baby-grows and spend my time oohing and aahing at all of the cute gear. Yes, it's a good shop and it has everything expectant mothers or parents probably need, but I was disappointed with the cute factor. They do have lots and they even have some quite cool kid stuff but I was able to make my choice pretty quickly for my favourite ensemble which says "hello world" (aah!). One huge question, why does a maternity store have an upstairs but no lift!? A little bit crazy for a clientele who are pretty much sure to have buggies or at least a baby on board.
